How did the caged mortals managed to live until now?

A lady vampire comes into the clearing carrying a basket in her right hand then put bananas and other fruits inside the cages.

Jessy noticed that the cage was rationed with water, she saw a coconut sh.e.l.l filled with water inside the cages.

The vampires were feeding these caged mortals with human foods regularly so that they can continue to feed on them.

She looked at the pitiful condition of the mortals, they had sunken eyes, hollow cheeks, vacant stare and dirty clothes, probably the clothes they wore on the day they were captured also the same clothes they were wearing now.

Jessy was shaking her head in disgust with the vampires' barbaric way of torturing the mortals!

She wanted to save the mortals but it's not the right time yet.

She has to think of a solid plan.

She left the clearing and walked a few meters ahead, inside is another clearing, then there is a small man-made pool in the middle, good enough for three-person, and in the corner, there is a bed carved out of a stone...there he is! the leader of the savage vampires! He was lying on the bed along with the frozen puppet, he's not doing anything to the puppet yet.

The guy rose from the bed and began discarding his clothes one by one, revealing his sculpted physique

'In fairness, he had a good physique,' Jessy observed.

When he was about to discard his underwear, Jessy looked the other way, a moment later, when she looked at him again he was already sinking his naked body in the man-made pool. He took his time luxuriating in the water, his eyes closed.

While observing the guy's face, she was sure he was in deep thoughts, a crease appeared on his forehead.

She hovered closer—approaching him behind his back...wanting to see the back of his head...it's his nape that she's interested to see.

When his nape was already exposed to her—she squinted hard—a line appeared between her brows, why is it that she can't see the Eight Point Star Symbol on his nape!?

No matter how much she stared on his nape, the symbol did not exist!

C-could it be that the leader of the surviving savages is an ordinary vampire? But his power is more than any ordinary vampire could ever have.

Unless...

He's concealing the symbol out of whim! Just like he can easily turn on and turn off the bonfire. It would be impossible for the savages to follow a leader who is not of their kind.

Until now she doesn't have their exact number. It seemed the savages population in this area can go as high as one hundred.

Fifteen minutes later...the guy left the mini pool and sauntered towards the bed in his naked glory...Jessy tried not to take a mental note of how firm his b.u.t.tocks are.

The guy unfreeze the frozen puppet and began caressing the arms of the woman, Jessy decided to play a prank on him—the guy's fangs emerged from his mouth, he seems to be salivating on the woman's arms fantasizing about sipping her blood, Jessy fought the urge to laugh, the moment the guy sinks his teeth into the arms of the puppets...that is also the moment Jessy turn back the puppet into its original form—a rock!

Then she heard a sharp cry of pain coming from the guy.

He raised his head and blood dripping from his mouth, both his fangs were broken!

Ouch!

Dang!

The fire of anger was blazing in his eyes when he stared at the woman below him to discover that it's just a piece of useless rock!

He howled in agony and anger, soon enough his subjects were rus.h.i.+ng inside his bedchamber to investigate what happened to their leader.

The guy turned his attention towards his subjects, he was truly p.i.s.sed!

"You all get out! Or else I will turn you all into a rock!" he shouted at them vehemently.

The subjects scampered out of the bedchamber in a hurry afraid of being turn into a rock.

The guy sat down on the bed—and then he grabs the rock that used to be a beautiful woman and hurled it into the wall brutally—smas.h.i.+ng the rock into a hundred pieces.

He was very angry that he was tricked, no one is stupid enough to play a trick on him! Unless that person does not know the extent of his wrath!

"Grrrr!" he hissed under his breath, then he walked to the pool and washed his b.l.o.o.d.y mouth with water, he went back to the bed and reached for a piece of cloth and wipe his mouth dry, there still small droplets of blood coming out from his mouth though.

Jessy was amused, but she knows deep inside, this guy could be a dangerous opponent.

The guy was sitting naked in the bed, probably pondering on what to do next!

Jessy decided that it's now time for her to go back to the Facility and retire for the night. She exited the guy's bedchamber and go back to the clearing where the mortals were being held captive in cages.

Five vampires were guarding the area.

She went to the cages and inspected the mortal's faces one by one, they looked so pitiful, so dirty and their eyes were filled with sorrow and hopelessness, they probably think that they will no longer be able to escape alive from this h.e.l.lish place! She wanted very badly to sooth and end their sufferings and misery but she can't do that right now, a solid plan must be in place before she can take any action on her part. She could easily freeze the guards in that area and released the captives but then since they are weak they can only run slow and eventually the savages will catch up with them and put them back into their cages, which would only make her efforts wasted. The alternate way is to release the captives and teleport them all into the mansion, but Nana Aida would surely have a heart attack seeing the ill-looking people and it would be too much for her old heart to handle.

How about bringing them to the Facility?

There are plenty of empty rooms in the Facility that used to house the six hundred ex-vampires. She can easily put them there, but before she can do that she needs to ask the royal family's permission first before going ahead with her plan. Which means involving them in the rescue.

'Just hold on a bit guys, I will come back for you,' she said to herself.

She's ready to leave the place!
