Footsteps quickly came running down the hall. The door slammed opened, revealing Norio. "Holy s.h.i.+t." He gasped, staring at Chris. "Tch, I really didn't want to use this if I didn't need to, but," He began, as he started digging in his pants pocket. "Oi, you better be alive, idiot." He knelt down. Chris slightly twitched. "Listen," Norio huffed. "If you care about them, if you love my brother, you'll get the h.e.l.l up, and continue fighting!" Norio growled. He pulled out a tiny bottle labeled 'The Cure'. "Looks like you'll need a bit more than Emersyn did..." he said, pouring a little into his mouth. He narrowed his eye. "Swallow." He said. Suddenly Chris started coughing. "d.a.m.nit, that tastes awful." He muttered, wiping his mouth with his sleeve. "Now's not the time to b.i.t.c.h and moan." Norio said, helping him up. "Tch, you're in no shape to fight." He shut his eye.

Norio wrapped an arm around Chris, to help him stand. "Guess it'll take awhile to kick in since your injuries were near fatal." He narrowed his eye as he noticed Chris staring at the ground. "Oi." He said. Chris looked at him, with tears in his eyes. "What do I tell Rick..." he whispered. Norio sighed, as they hobbled down the corridor. "Looks say it all." He sighed. Chris looked at Norio, then back at the floor. "Don't think too hard on it, idiot." Norio scolded. Chris nodded.

"This way." Norio said, as the corridor led to a door. "Rick said they've got most the enemies done with." Norio sighed. "I can't just leave you out here either, Incase someone gets ya." He grumbled. "We'll try to sneak through, ya ready?" Chris gave a nod.

As the door opened, there were numerous enemy bodies on the ground. Only a little more than a handful of enemies remained. Rick quickly turned around. His eyes widened as he saw the two of them. As an enemy tried to attack him, he quickly stabbed, and head b.u.t.ted him, growling. Mikael looked up. "Where is..." He looked at Chris. "No..." he whispered.

Mim walked into the main room. Larkin turned around. "What's this...?" He said, pointing to an unconscious Maru. "This is 246," Mim began. "She's the girl with the power coursing through both of her arms." He grinned. "How did you..." Larkin looked at him, the shut his eyes. "No, perhaps that doesn't matter." He smirked. "Put her in," He began. "247's power synchronization is almost done..." Mim peered into the gla.s.s, containing Emersyn. "Wow..." he whispered, astonished. Larkin grinned. "Looks like our plan is coming together quite nicely..." He chuckled. "Excellent..." He then turned to Mim. "Where is Janine?" Mim looked at him. "Dunno, probably in the control room, if I had to guess." Larkin nodded. "I see." He then placed a hand on Mim's shoulder. "Go relax, your job for now is done." Mim looked at him, then smiled. "Yeesh, what a softy ya are, boss." He chuckled, walking away.

Larkin walked back to the tubes containing Emersyn, and now Maru. He frowned. "Why do I feel this way..." he gave a chuckle. "Perhaps I am a softy..." he said, walking away.
