He shouted, as he impaled Chris through the back, to the chest. Chris' eyes widened at the blow. "Chris!" Maru shrieked. Mim smirked, hovering over Maru. "No need, his body, spirit, as well as his promise are already broken." He grinned, as he scooped Maru up. "See ya." Mim winked, as he left. Chris' hand twitched. He tried lifting it to reach out. But it was too late. He grunted, as his blood pooled around him. Sorry Rick...I wanted to be with you until the end. I wanted to protect you, her, and our promise. I just...wanted to be a better version of myself. I wanted to atone...together. As he thought this to himself, he weakly smiled. He then rested his hand on the ground. Tears filled his eyes.
