"Where are we going?"

Elise asked Bin just after they separated from both of their masters. Jasmine wasn't in a good mood after what happened in the training ground, it seemed that Joseph's humiliation if it can even be called that, s.h.i.+fted her already unstable mood. Fortunately, Bin wasn't the source of the problem, and no matter how arrogant and annoying she was, she didn't say anything to Elise, at least nothing infuriating.

"I told you before. I know two people who can help us study the infection. One is a world-famous diagnostician and the other is a genius in the practical medical field, moreover, they're sisters and I do trust the younger one, she helped me in more than one occasion."

Even after hearing that, the masked girl wasn't that convinced. She grumbled and retorted,

"Every scientist in the facility is considered a genius in their own field but even they couldn't find a cure. You must know that a cure will definitely help them a lot and decrease their subject and resource losses."

"Anyway, you can tell them what you know. Your condition is better than mine so there's a chance for recovery."

Hearing this, Elise eyed him for a couple of breaths before adding, "That's awfully optimistic coming from you."

"It's not optimism but realism. My body is on the verge of breaking down but yours is somewhat stable and can use magic, which means it can receive Mana, including the healing of Marita."

A bit surprised, Elise raised a brow and said back.

"You know of Marita?"

The young man nodded his head and faintly smiled while replying. "I've actually met her once. Dr. Galen secretly brought her to M-nation but requested she tries her miraculous healing on me but the result was disappointing."

"Disappointing? How so?"

"The healing, which many say can even restore limbs, had no effect whatsoever on my body. The white light entered my body then was converted back to Mana."

Bin let out a sigh as he signaled Elise to follow after him. He pushed the old entrance doors of Ann's laboratory and entered, the medicinal aroma a.s.saulted his nose and the cool and cold interior air refreshed him a bit.

Scarlet wasn't here, only her short bespectacled little sister was in the laboratory, engrossed in her work, as usual. She didn't notice Bin and only raised her head when she heard incoming footsteps.

The girl had large dark circles under eyes, an indication of a serious lack of sleep. Although only one day pa.s.sed, she looked thinner and very tired, making Bin feel a bit guilty.

"Anything wron-"

Ann didn't finish talking as she noticed a masked girl follow right after Bin. She raised her guard and cautiously looked at Elise, feeling a bit nervous, after all, the traumatic events of that night were still engraved in her mind.

"I didn't mean to bring an uninvited guest but I thought her presence might greatly help you."

Bin uttered those words then signaled for Elise to remove her mask, which she did.

At first, Ann was confused but what she got a look at the exposed face of Elise, she was flabbergasted. Her eyes would continuously jump from the brother to the sister then vice-versa, she didn't even notice her half-open mouth.

"Yes, she's my twin sister. Elise."

Bin introduced her then explained.

"I won't explain the circ.u.mstances but she's got the same sickness, ah, it's actually an infection. Anyway, her condition is better than mine and maybe she can help a bit."

It was one surprise after another, the female doctor collected her thoughts, pressed her palm against her forehead as she pondered for one full minute.

After processing what was said, she lightly clapped her hands once and said,

"Alright, let's totally forget that you brought a twin sister out of nowhere and focus on her sickness."

She motioned for Elise to sit on the bed then looked at Bin.

"You said it's an infection? Can you elaborate?"

The youth shrugged his shoulders, turned around and headed toward the exit while saying,

"I'll let her fill you with the details."

Bin was going to stay with Elise but Melissa called him, saying that she needs him to do something. Of course, now that he's her servant, he can't refuse and won't as the pay was promised to be very satisfactory.

He didn't know what kind of job he needs to do but it's definitely not easy, it must involve a bit of fighting or even killing, or so thought Bin.

The youth took a cab and arrived at Melissa's villa in thirty minutes, finding her sweetly smiling at him.

"It didn't take long for you to need my help."

Melissa giggled and walked to the living room, brus.h.i.+ng her golden hair to the back and picking up the doc.u.ments scattered all over the table.

"It won't be a difficult task, I promise. Furthermore, there will be others a.s.sisting you."

"The four from last time?"

"No, others… who are not as trustworthy, which is why I called for you."

Bin sat on the other end of the couch, crossed his arms, and leaned his back against the leather and comfortable furniture.

"So, what's it about exactly?"

"Your job is to steal some doc.u.ments."

Hearing this, Bin chuckled and retorted, "Well, at least you're not sugar-coating it." He picked an apple and took a large bite before continuing,

"I don't mind stealing but I won't kill anyone."

"You won't need to. Your 'a.s.sociates' will clear the targets, you just need to secure the doc.u.ments."

Melissa's face turned serious as she repeated, "Remember this… you MUST get them yourself and give them to no none but I."

"That sounds awfully unsettling." He pondered for a couple of breaths before adding, "Don't tell me that the people coming with me will try to get the doc.u.ments too?"

"I'm not sure but even if they try to take it from you, don't let them!"

"Huh 'don't let them'.. How am I supposed to do that?"

The girl grinned and said back. "From what I heard, you're good with guns so just shoot their knees or something. I'm not forcing you to kill but don't lose the doc.u.ments."

Bin nodded his head and asked

"Now, let us discuss my pay."

"Come back with the doc.u.ments and then you can name any price."

She lightly laughed and left for some time, soon returning with Secretary Park, who was dragging a large familiar black bag filled with all kinds of weapons and clothes.
