Before anyone asks: Yes, this is the LN. Yes, I know the WN is being translated and far ahead. Yes, there might be close to no differences between LN or WN. No, I won't drop it to start the project you want. No, I don't care if you think this is a waste of time. I will translate this because I want to, thank you for your understanding. With that being said, I hope you enjoy.

Prologue

I held a lottery ticket in hand as I walked through the shopping district.

"Here, tissues for your partic.i.p.ation prize."

I didn't have any big expectations on winning anything with it, but I still decided to just line up on a whim. While the others in front of me were getting tissues as a partic.i.p.ation prize, I gazed over at the list of the main prizes.

—Partic.i.p.ation prize: Tissues

—5th prize: a coupon worth 1000 yen

—4th prize: a box of sweets

—3rd prize: a brand-new, recently released smartphone

—2nd prize: a hot spring trip for two people

—1st prize: ???

Your run-of-the-mill list, but the first prize piqued my interest. Normally, a hot spring trip would be the top prize, so I figured it must be a short vacation overseas or the like. And while I was speculating, the line in front of me grew shorter. Suddenly, I heard a bell ring in front of me. Seems like the man right in front of me had won something.

"Congratulations! I can't believe it! You've won the first prize!"

"Ohhhhhh, h.e.l.l yeah!"

The man raised one fist into the air, striking a pose.

"Now then, I would like to explain the details of the prize, so could you follow us to the back?"

"Yeah!"

The man was taken to the back by the staff. Since no one else was in front of me, it was finally my turn.

"The one after the first prize winner, huh…?"

Another member of the staff put a big x on the first prize tag. Guess there's no more of that.

"Well, the smartphone is still left, so playing once won't kill me."

Handing over the ticket to the staff, I turned the lottery wheel. Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

"Ohh!"

Yet again, one of the staff proceeded to ring the handbell.

"Eh, I won something? Seriously?"

I was bewildered, not expecting to actually be that lucky. I looked down at the rainbow-colored ball that fell out of the lottery wheel. Seeing that, I checked the list of prizes once more. First prize was gold, second was silver, third was copper, and the fourth and fifth prizes were blue and yellow, respectively. But no matter how often I checked, I couldn't find anything about a rainbow-colored ball.

"What is this?"

Holding the small ball, I asked the staff.

"Congratulations! You've won the secret special prize!"

"So you even had that, huh?"

The onlookers began to clap in admiration.

"Then, I would like to give you an explanation, so could you follow me to the back?"

"Alright."

The staff guided me inside the building. Though I tried to hide it, I was pretty excited. The prize must be something amazing if they have to explain it to me, you know? Following behind the staff, I even saw the man who had just won the first prize. Near him was another lottery wheel, similar to the one outside. The man turned it, and two b.a.l.l.s fell out. The staff next to him quickly picked those up and spoke.

"Tentacles, I see."

"A skill where I can use tentacles?"

"Indeed, that is the case."

"Alright!"

"Now then, I will send you over."

I didn't know what was happening or what they were talking about—all I knew was that something crazy was going on. After all, the second the staff finished those words, light suddenly shone from beneath the man's legs—something akin to a summoning circle appeared—and the man disappeared without a trace.

"W-What was that?"

"Umm, you are?"

"He is the one who won the special prize."

"Is that so?"

The staff inside the room nodded, and spoke out to me.

"Allow me to congratulate you again. I will now explain the details of this special prize, if you don't mind."

"Y-Yeah…"

"Your special prize is similar to the first prize, and it gives you the right to be teleported to a different world."

"Eh, what did you just say?"

"It gives you the right to be teleported to a different world."

The staff just blankly repeated the same phrase.

"…Is this some sort of joke?"

"You observed the previous winner, didn't you?" commented the staff, causing me to shrink.

A summoning circle appeared beneath him, then the man disappeared. That wasn't something ordinary.

"What you witnessed was him being transported to a different world."

"Are you serious?"

"You will surely come to believe me after the fact, whether you'd like to or not," said the staff in response.

From the looks of it, she wasn't lying.

"Anyway, up to that point, the first prize and the special prize are identical. The only difference between the two is that, with the first prize, you can spin this wheel once and receive one skill, depending on luck, which you can freely use over in the other world. However, the special prize allows you to spin it as many times as you'd like."

"As many times as I'd like?"

"Yes, but you can still take only one skill with you. In that sense, you can spin the wheel as often as you want until a skill appears that is to your liking."

"I see…"

I still wasn't sure what to make of this whole situation, but I nodded along for now.

"Since you can spin it as many times as you want, how about you try it out for now? By the way, since half of this room connects to the other world, you can try out your skills before you decide."

"O-okay…"

I still don't get it, but I might as well follow her instructions. I put one hand on the lottery wheel and spun it. The ball that fell out was picked up by the staff.

"'Fire Breathing Man'—a skill that enables you to breathe fire."

"Fire?"

"Would you like to try it? Ah, but this is a very dangerous skill, so try not to aim it in my direction."

Try it? She says it so naturally, but what exactly should I do…? For now, I decided to turn my head to the side and breathe out.

"Woah!"

Seriously, I actually breathed fire?! Though my face feels a bit hot now.

"How is it? Would you like to go with this skill?"

"Ah, no, hold on." Waving my hand, I put one finger on my forehead and started thinking.

My thoughts were left in utter chaos. But, in the midst of that, one certain thought prevailed over the others.

"Don't tell me…this is real?"

"I can very well comprehend that you're still doubtful," the staff nodded.

"Then…let me redo it. I can redo it as many times as I want, right?"

"Yes, that is correct."

"And is there a chance I'll get the same thing again?"

"That chance exists."

"Alright." I nodded.

If I can respin as many times as I want, and I'm even allowed to try all of them, it might be better to refrain from making a quick decision.

Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

"This is… 'All Abilities TImes 10.' It's pretty simple—it strengthens every one of your attributes ten times."

"Boring—again."

Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

"'Sage'—a skill that holds all imaginable knowledge."

"That sounds scary—again."

Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

"'Berserker.' This is"—

"I get really bad vibes from the name. Again."

Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

"'All Abilities Times 2.' Umm"—

"That's even worse, next."

Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

"I'm sorry, this time it's 'All Abilities Times 3'…"

"Alright, and again."

Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

I continued to spin the wheel. I just kept spinning, listening to the explanation, then spinning again. There were some useful skills in there, sure, but none of them sounded as great as 'All Abilities Times 10' from the beginning, and I always found myself hoping for something better.

"My hand's getting tired…"

"I'm exhausted from all the explaining as well…"

Countless different-colored b.a.l.l.s representing various skills emerged. Having spun it so much, I could even tell the difference just by checking the color.

Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

Rattle, rattle, rattle, plop.

"Oh! Rainbow color, that's new!"

"Eh? What's that? I don't remember that being in there…"

"Really? What's it doing in there then?"

The staff was taken aback as she picked up the rainbow-colored ball. And then, her facial expression turned from surprise into shock.

"Dear customer, this is amazing!"

"Amazing?"

"'All Abilities Times 777!'"

Hearing the explanation, I had a similar reaction. The rainbow-colored ball was so radiant that alone amazed me.
