"At the moment, this is your first and main task. The first folder contains the data of your new biography, the names of your parents and their personal information, and the rest of the background in the form of details about your studies and so on. Your image must be well-rounded and impeccable so that the target does not notice a dirty trick."
Rick flipped through the folder with his data, this information more than satisfied him.
"The second folder contains the details of your a.s.signment. You will have to get closer to the son of the head of Greenline Inc., he is our target. More precisely, he is that important link that will help us get closer to our main target," Marcus instructed him.
"What's so special about this guy?" Rick opened the data folder, his eyes widened in surprise. "Oh, well, common, is it the knight of my little kitten?"
The photo depicted a young man, below it said: David Anderson, 13 years old, the youngest son of the head of Greenline Inc., William Anderson.
Rick squeezed the data sheet. Anger boiled inside him like hot lava in a volcano. All these years he lived like some ragged man, eating whatever he had to, while his experimental rat was born in the family of a successful businessman and riding the gravy train, without denying himself anything.
Hah, what an irony. The one who was above up in this life was at the very bottom.
Well, no problem, justice has triumphed, so now he will make up for the losses in the thirteen years that he lived in this stinking family of alcoholics.
And he was going to call David's father to ask for work? Indeed, such coincidences amaze even him. Fortunately, Marcus appeared on time and returned his memories to him, otherwise, he would have finished as a subordinate of his former laboratory rat.
William Anderson suggested making friends with his son? Well, let's do it. Become a best friend, and then stick a knife in the back at the most unexpected moment. This scenario turned into a sense of overwhelming antic.i.p.ation in Rick.
"What about Lena? I don't see data on my little kitten," Rick flipped through the remaining papers but did not find any information on the girl.
"This is your main task. In this life, her name is Elena. I have no other information about her, as well as her address, so stay close to David Anderson. He will try to find her, then we will have two objects in our hands at once," Marcus stopped the car opposite the hotel entrance, "Stay in the car. I need to meet with someone; after we take care of your appearance, we will fly to Berlin at lunchtime."
Rick did not answer and again began to look through the doc.u.ments on his new biography and data on David.
"Riri!" A loud scream from a child nearly made him jump on the spot.
He turned his head and only then noticed that their car was parked at the main entrance of the Bulgari Hotel, "f.u.c.k!"
The young man crawled down the seat with the speed of light so that only the top of his head could be seen.
"Richard, are you an idiot?! You, an outstanding officer of the Third Reich, are hiding from some seven-year-old girl like the last coward?!" He mentally cursed himself but remained seated in the same position, while the girl in the street was screaming his name intensely.
. . .
The young man opened his new clamsh.e.l.l phone, the latest fas.h.i.+on among wealthy teens, and dialed a number, "h.e.l.lo, Lily? Have you arrived? Still at the airport? Agh, okay. I'm waiting for you near your hotel." The guy hung up and sighed doomfully. Why the h.e.l.l did he get so early to meet this model?
The young man scratched his head while he received a new incoming call, "h.e.l.lo? Yes, dad. No, I didn't sleep at home. No, I didn't drink with friends, I was with my girlfriend," the young man rolled his eyes, receiving another portion of lecture from his father,

"What? What kind of guy? Dad, ask David to do this, why me?! Agg, okay, okay, I'll go to that hotel and look for a fair-haired guy who sells newspapers. Yes, I remember. Yes, I'll invite him to work with us." The guy hung up, his hope of meeting a famous model came cras.h.i.+ng down.
"Riri!" A sonorous childish voice that sounded from the side like a fire siren, made him bounce in place and almost drop his new phone.
"Corey! Do not scream in the street! Where are your manners!" The girl's mother ran out of the hotel after her daughter and began to calm her child.
"No, I won't go anywhere until I see Riri! He promised that he would come to see me off! He promised!" Tears were flowing down the girl's cheeks, she clutched a large knitted scarf in her hands.
"Lord, Corey, I almost turned gray yesterday when you ran away to meet the prince! The taxi will be in five minutes, we will be so late to the airport!" The girl's mother tried to calm her down, but it was all in vain.
"Khem, excuse me, can I speak to a young lady?" The young man approached the woman, she turned around and froze in place, fascinated by his stunning smile.
"Oh, young man, I really don't know," the woman was suddenly confused, she did not a.s.sume that a teenager might embarra.s.s her.
The young man walked forward and squatted down next to Corey, "Young lady, I heard you were looking for a meeting with the prince, is that true?"
Corey immediately calmed down and nodded her head in the affirmative, this big boy really looked like a prince, he was very handsome.
"My name is Prince Daniel, but what about you, my princess?"
"C-Corey," the girl answered embarra.s.sedly when Daniel took her small hand and kissed it like a true prince. But the girl's joy was short-lived and she immediately realized that something was not right, "There is no prince in the royal family named Daniel!"
The young man was slightly taken aback but did not show it, "My princess, I will trust you with one secret. In fact, I am a secret prince. Here, look," he opened the phone and showed a slightly blurry photo that depicted two guys, "See, it's me, and this is Prince William." Photoshop sometimes works wonders!
Corey's eyes shone like bright stars, "Wow! You really are a prince!"
"Of course! Corey, do you want me to be your personal prince?" Daniel suggested.
The girl thought for a few seconds, and with complete seriousness answered, "No, I do not want it, you are too old."
Corey's mom covered her face in shame with her hands, not knowing how to comment on her daughter's rudeness.
'Oh, you little one! Me? Old? I'm only sixteen years old!' Daniel frowned mentally and barely restrained himself so as not to pinch the girl by her small neat little nose, but outwardly he still had the same charming smile.
"Young lady, here you are wrong. It's not me who is old, it's you who are too small," the young man winked, but the girl did not understand what he meant.
"Okay, but you're beautiful," the girl added afterwards, which caused great joy in Daniel. He did not think that an unexpected compliment from a child would be so pleasant for him. Apparently, his charm acted even on children.
"Corey, let's do it. You will listen to your mother and go to the airport, and when you return here next time, ask Prince Daniel at the palace. And I will immediately come to you and amuse you, and give many, many gifts to you. Deal?"
The girl nodded joyfully.
"That's great. Now you have your own prince, but this is a big secret, you got it?"
"Yes, I got it," Corey waved goodbye to Daniel and got into her taxi with her mom.
Daniel scratched his head, sighed, and trudged toward another hotel, where he was supposed to find some boy, as old as his younger brother, who was selling newspapers.
Rick watched the receding taxi in which Corey drove away. In his hand was an autographed postcard of the prince, which he completely forgot about until he saw this girl again. Some guy rea.s.sured her, although she was waiting for Riri to come, but he never came.
Marcus opened the door and sat inside, "What is this? Decided to buy a souvenir?" He grinned at the sight of the postcard in Rick's hands.
"No, it's just rubbish," Rick dropped the window and threw out a piece of paper.
The car started and drove on, gradually moving away from the hotel, leaving behind a crumpled gift card, lying alone on the pavement.
