The Bastard In The Zombie Apocalypse Chapter 101: Divine Tower 11

The 5m-tall Golden Armored Angel with a wingspan of 8m long and had 6 golden crystals on its body (forehead, chest, shoulders and knees) continued to descend.

"Hey," said Nathan to Harry.

Harry was silent, still thinking about what to do.

The initial plan was to reach Stage 10 and attack the other two groups once the armored angels drop to 30.

However, they didn't expect this.

Or perhaps they did expect there to be a boss on the final stage but chose to ignore it.

Either way, there was no point in regretting it now.

They only had two choices now:

One -- Kill the other two groups, Red Dust and the military group before killing the boss.

Two -- Kill the Golden Armored Angel first before killing the other two groups.

Looking at Harry's reaction, Nathan scoffed and disappeared before heading to the corners of the arena.

Nathan ran as fast as he could and didn't look back.

"Prepare to engage!" said someone in the crowd.

It was Captain Barlow from the military group.

When the Golden Armored Angel was about 20m above the ground, all h.e.l.l broke loose.

"Fire!" said Captain Barlow.

Tata!

Boom!

Tata!

Bang!

Boom!

The guns, bombs and spells thrown by the military and Red Dust were not aimed at the Golden Armored Angel.

Instead, they were aimed at the Asian and Harry's group.

The Golden Armored Angel, on the other hand, began to cast a series of spells as it continued to descend.

[Decrease STR - All].

[Decrease VIT - All].

[Decrease AGI - All].

[Decrease INT - All].

The range of the spells covered the entire arena that Nathan lost his invisibility.

Nathan, who was already far away from Harry's group, immediately stopped and decided to check his stats.

This was his first time getting hit by the spells of the armored angels.

'System.'

Level: 25

Exp: 0.4425048828125%

STR - 38 (+4).... (-8.4)

VIT - 36...…. (-7.2)

AGI - 33 (+29)….. (-12.4)

He squinted his eyes.

'Its skills reached me... System off.'

He activated [Coward's Way] before looking at the battle between the Asian and Harry's group versus the military and Rose's group.

'Looks like they had the same idea as well…'

His lips curled upwards and formed a sinister smile.

Harry activated his skill as he evaded the bullets, grenades and spells thrown at his group.

His skill was called [Deceleration]. It allows him to slow down anything within his peripheral vision by 20% and 20 meters away from him, even if they were invisible.

It doesn't have any mana cost and cooldown.

He only had to activate it.

If his skill had any weaknesses, there were two.

One -- His eyes must be opened.

But even if he loses one of his eyes or it gets blurry, as long as he can use his eyes and see what's within his peripheral vision, his skill will activate.

Two - Depending on how one looks at it, his skill doesn't differentiate between friend and foe. Whoever is caught within his peripheral vision and 20 meters away from him once the skill is activated will have their movements slowed down by 20%.

"CHARGE!!!" said Harry as he dashed forward to Rose's group.

Joseph and the others followed suit as they fired their guns and threw spells towards the members of Red Dust.

The Asian group's side…

"CHARGE!!!" said the Werebat Chosen One who was flying in the air.

"CHARGE, BROTHERS!!! LEAVE NO ONE ALIVE AMONG THOSE MILITARY DOGS FOR KILLING OUR BROTHERS OUTSIDE!!!" said the second Chosen One of the group (aka "Cannibal" coined by Nathan).

He was leading the charge on the ground with the rest of the members.

Seeing Harry and the Asian group charging, Rose and the military stopped firing and charged as well.

On Red Dust's side…

Rose had her [Crystal Body] activated was leading the charge.

Ashleigh also charged but was behind because she was ordered to stick close to Derek.

Derek, who had his skill [Maximize] on and was also inflicted by the cursed spells, charged in as well.

He was also tasked by Rose to guard Ashleigh.

On the military's side…

The two Chosen ones, Burning Fighting Fighter and the Bones were leading the charge.

Behind them were the rest of the soldiers.

Despite the two Chosen Ones' hatred towards their so-called fellow comrades because of the remote-controlled bomb around their necks that leaves them without any choice but to follow orders, they knew that they had no choice but to fight the other groups if they wanted to live.

No one cared about the curse spells thrown at them by the Golden Armored Angel.

It was only a single opponent anyway.

All groups had one goal in mind -- kill the other opposing groups first before the Golden Armored Angel.

However…

When the Golden Armored Angel landed on the ground, it began to cast another series of spells.

[Summon].

A group of twenty Level 10 armored angels appeared.

There were 10 Black and 10 White ones.

The Black and White Armored Angels cast buff spells on themselves.

[Increase STR - All].

[Increase VIT - All].

[Increase AGI - All].

After that, they began firing spells attack spells.

The Level 10 armored angels stats were:

• STR - 30 (+6)

• AGI - 30 (+6)

• VIT - 30 (+6)

• INT - 100

Mana: 200/200

Meanwhile, the stats of the Golden Armored Angel was:

• STR - 41 (+8.2)

• AGI - 41 (+8.2)

• VIT - 41 (+8.2)

• INT - 100

Mana: ∞

And shortly after casting the second series of spells, the Golden Armored Angel cast [Firewall] to the nearest group of survivors.

It was the military group.

Some of the soldiers got caught in the fire.

"GYAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!"

The Golden Armored Angel then cast another skill.

This time it was on the Asian group and the skill [Blizzard].

Cold winds and snowflakes surrounded the Asian group.

Layers of thin ice wrapped around their bodies as it slowed down their movements by 10%.

After that, it began to cast [Lock].

Its target was the Werebat Chosen One who was flying high above the ground.

When the spell landed on the Werebat Chosen One, his skill deactivated, transforming him back to his human form and he was falling down from the sky.

This caught him by surprise for a moment and he immediately tried to transform back into a Werebat.

However, he realized that he couldn't.

The armored angels could cast [Silence].

However, it doesn't deactivate spells, buffs or transformations. It only prevents the target from casting spells for 30 seconds.

Meanwhile, for the [Lock] spell…

The Werebat Chosen one checked his status chart to see why he couldn't activate his skill.

On his status chart, there was a 30-second lock and his skill was unavailable.

He began to panic as he realized what the [Lock] spell could do.

He continued falling from the sky.

"HELP ME! I CAN'T ACTIVATE MY SKILL!"

"Quick! Catch him!" said Cannibal.

Two of his fellow members immediately head to the spot where he was going to fall.

Although catching him will no doubt lead them to suffer grave injuries, he was one of their leaders and they could always heal with potions anyway so they didn't care.

As they waited for the Werebat Chosen One to fall, the Golden Armored Angel cast [Firewall] on them.

"GYAAAAHHHHHH!!!" screamed the two members and ran away from the wall of fire.

With no one to catch him, the Werebat Chosen One landed on the fiery ground.

Splat!

He broke a number of bones.

Some of them were even protruding out of his skin.

He was still alive, albeit barely, and he screamed as he was engulfed by the flames.

"GYAAAAHHHH! HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

Cannibal immediately tried to help him.

But two Armored Angels cast a [Stone Spear] straight to the Werebat Chosen One's head.

Wooh!

Wooh!

The Werebat Chosen One stopped screaming.

"BYUNG-HO!!!" said Cannibal.

Seeing the skills cast by the Golden Armored Angel, everyone decided to rethink their strategy.

Nathan, who was far away from the battle, watched the whole scene unfold with his mouth open.

When he first witness the curse and buff spells and as well the summon spell cast by the Golden Armored Angel, he decided to let the 4 teams fight it out until there were only 5-10 people left before he joins in.

But once he saw the [Firewall], [Blizzard] and [Lock] spells, he tossed the idea out of his head right away.

He gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on his [Grade D] Large Axe.

'I'M STILL SO POWERLESS AS EVER!'

Although his second near-death experience served as a grim reminder that he was still nowhere near as strong as he thought or hoped to be and it hurt his ego and pride, he still wished that he wasn't this as powerless.

But this Golden Armored Angel showed him that he was truly and utterly powerless.

He was nothing.

He knew for a fact that if he faced the Golden Armored Angel alone, there was no question that he would die.

He forcefully calmed himself down.

This was no time to wallow on self-pity.

He had to rethink his own plans.

After calming himself down, he checked his status chart.

'A few seconds to go before the rest of the curses disappear…'

Three seconds pa.s.sed and his status returned back to normal.

He looked over at the rest of the groups and squinted his eyes.

'They decided not to kill each other and focus on the armored angels, huh.'

The armored angels died.

When the Golden Armored Angel saw its summoned companions dead, the Golden Armored Angel flew away to cast another set of spells.

The rest of the survivors tried to stop it by destroying its golden crystals.

Unfortunately, they were only able to destroy 4 crystals and it kept moving while it recast the spells.

[Decrease STR - All].

[Decrease VIT - All].

[Decrease AGI - All].

[Decrease INT - All].

[Summon].

[Increase STR - All].

[Increase VIT - All].

[Increase AGI - All].

The curse spells enveloped the whole arena and Nathan lost his invisibility once again.

The broken golden crystals also regenerated.

"NATHAN! WHAT THE h.e.l.l ARE YOU DOING THERE?! COME HELP!" said Harry from the battlefield.

'Looks like I have no choice…' Nathan thought.
