The Chronicles Of The Stick Emperor 13 Chapter 13 - Shopping Spree

Since Tang Yao, now had several million dollars in his bank account, he decided to take his sister Jie Yao out to go shopping, and to buy himself some better clothes.

However, first he needed to stop by a bank, and withdraw some money. However there was a slight issue, when he asked the bank teller to check his bank account. She immediately ran off to get her manager.

When the manager came back he said this, "Sir, you have more than 10 million dollars in your bank."

"Yeah? So? What about it?" asked Tang Yao who was annoyed. "Just withdraw the amount I told you to."

"Ah, yes we'll do that right away. But, i'm here to tell you that you qualify for JP Morgan Palladium Reserve card, you will receive exclusive benefits, with this card." said the manager.

"Okay? I don't really care do whatever, but I'm only waiting for another 10 minutes, and if I don't get the money. I'm leaving." said Tang Yao

"So does that mean you'll accept the card?" asked the manager

"Yeah, Yeah I'll take the card or whatever, just hurry up." said Tang Yao

"Of course, right away sir." said the manager before running off.

After a few minutes, the manager came back, with Tang Yao's cash, and his exclusive card. "Here, is your card, and money. You will be treated as a VIP at any J.P Morgan Chase Banks. If you show them this card. You will also receive t-"

"That's enough talking, I'm leaving." said Tang Yao.

"Ah, but I haven't fin-"

"I! Don't! CARE!" shouted Tang Yao before leaving the bank.

The manager tried to run after him, but he couldn't find Tang Yao any where after he left the bank. He could only give up and go back inside.

Tang Yao was annoyed about the persistent manager, but didn't care enough to do anything about it. He also thought about buying a car for convenience, since his parents car got wrecked in the car accident. He thought about buying a luxury car, but he thought it was too conspicuous, to he went to buy the Toyota Corolla 2031. It wouldn't bring a huge attraction everywhere he went. His next stop was the The Shops at Columbus Circle Mall in NYC. It was only a 2 hour drive from where he lived, and it had many named brands there.

"Jie Yao, you can go shopping for clothes here, anything you want." said Tang Yao.

"The clothes here are too expensive, and we don't have much money. How can I buy clothes here?" asked Jie Yao

"Don't worry about money, I recently was able to get a large sum of money." said Tang Yao who was chuckling.

"What did you do?" asked Jie Yao who was staring at him.

"I got the money the legal way. I promise!" shouted Tang Yao defending himself from Jie Yao's questioning eyes.

"Are you sure?" said Jie Yao

"Yes! Yes! I promise." said Tang Yao

"Really? Tell me where did you get the money?" asked Jie Yao

"Well... I got the money from the game called Reverie. Ay! but, that's not important right now, let's go shopping." said Tang Yao before running off, to avoid any more questions.

After several minutes, of convincing Jie Yao to buy anything she wants, they finally began their shopping spree. They bought all sorts of clothes, from Michael Khols, to Louis Vuitton hand bags. Tang Yao didn't really care about clothes, so he bought a few pair of jeans, and s.h.i.+rts, and jackets. However, Jie Yao did not approve of his clothing, and forced him to try on several different types of clothing. From suits, to pajama's Jie Yao forced him to try on all sorts of clothing.

Tang Yao was shocked, by how much a women cared about clothing. By, the time he finished his clothes shopping, he was carrying over 20 bags of clothings. While his sister, said that she still needed to buy clothes. Tang Yao did not want to think of how many bags he would need to carry for Jie Yao.

Jie Yao pulled Tang Yao into a random store, and made him wait, while, she tried on different clothing. By the time she finished, there were more than 30 bags on the floor. Tang Yao had trouble carrying his 20 bags, but now he had to carry another 30 bags?

'I will never go clothing shopping with a girl again.' swore Tang Yao in his heart. Women were just too scary when it came to clothing shopping. They had already spent close to 4 hours just looking at clothes and swapping them out.

Tang Yao had to ask a janitor to give them a trash bag, so he could put all the bags in one bag. However, it still wasn't enough, he needed a total of 3 trash bags just to hold all of their clothes. When they finished their shopping spree, they had spent a total 55,000 dollars on clothes, and accessories.

Afterwards, Tang Yao took Jie Yao out to go eat at an expensive restaurant, surprisingly when Tang Yao took out his credit card to pay them, they were instantly upgraded to VIP customers, and were treated with the best they had. Tang Yao ordered, the roasted duck they had, and the their lobster. While Jie Yao ordered, the Rib-Eye Steak. Tang Yao didn't really like the food they had, he though Jie Yao's cooking was better. However, he couldn't voice his complaints.

Afterwards, Tang Yao drove home, with Jie Yao, who was sleeping in the pa.s.senger seat. It was already 10 o clock at night, and Reverie opens at 8, so Tang Yao is missing time to farm, but he doesn't feel worried because, he is far ahead of the other players. When Tang Yao got home, he saw a dark figure trying to open their apartment door. However, the dark figure noticed their car, and ran off.

'Perhaps I should install better security in our house' though Tang Yao before, bring Jie Yao inside. Jie Yao, was still sleeping when this happened, so he just brought her to her bed, and let her sleep. Then Tang Yao brought out all the clothes they bought, and brought them inside.

Finally, it was time to enter Reverie again.
