Hero Of The World 6 Chapter 6: Healing

When Ned fell asleep it was only 10 in the morning. And If he was awake he would feel blessed and lucky as moments after he fell asleep the bushes around the place rustled as a beast much bigger than the wolf from earlier circled the place where he and the wolf fought while smelling the blood. Each step it took shook the earth, it was strong and heavy, and had an armor like hide.

The beast looked like a bear but had spikes on it's back and shoulders straight to it's claws, they were a black color and looked evil on it. It was two times bigger than a normal bear. And after smelling the blood it knew that the fight here was done, and so it was angry for not playing a part in it and stood on it's legs as it issued a loud roar that spread far in this forest, the sound was so strong that a wind wave spread around it and shook the trees. But no beast dared to roar back. It was obvious this beast was something like an overlord in this part of the forest. It then went back inside the forest to continue it's search for food.

In the time this all happened, Ned was sleeping, and floating as usual besides the blue orb of light. If one were to look closely though, they would notice that there was a thread of blue energy originating from the orb and going straight into Ned's heart, while his injuries were healing at a rate visible to the naked eye. The broken bones in his left arm were already mending, but the flesh torn wasn't regenerating yet as it would need the bones to heal fully first. The many scratches he got from sneaking around the trees and from fighting the wolf were already healed, his right leg was also injured badly by the wolf's claws, but now it was healed. His heavy pants didn't give him as much protection as his breastplate.

Three hours later, Ned was fully healed, however he didn't wake up. The reason it took that long for him to heal was that the bones needs much more time to heal than torn flesh.

As soon as he was healed, once again a blue light separated itself from the orb and entered his body. Once it finished roaming his body like it did previously, there were some new changes to his body, although his muscles may look like they didn't change much, they now were well Toned and packing great amounts of power. His hair and eyes stayed the same but his height had increased. He was now 178cm instead of 173cm. From where he came from in his old world his height was average at best however he always wanted to be taller. Now his wish had come true.

Two hours pa.s.sed, and Ned began to wake up, and as he opened his eyes you could see that he was still tired even though he slept straight into the afternoon. Due to the death battle he went through he would obviously still feel tired. He then started ruminating about his fight with the wolf, and would very much like to never cross paths with something like it again.

"I don't feel like fighting a beast like that again, hmm maybe I should start looking for a city or village to reside in" He said.

It was not that he was feeling guilty of killing the wolf or anything like that, but that he was scared of fighting something similar to it again. He brought his water bottle and started drinking from it slowly to quell his thirst, and he also wanted to wash his hands from the earlier blood but noticed that his body was clean. Even his equipment were restored to their optimal state.

He wanted to check if even his knife was restored so he took it from the inventory, and was so shocked, that even the fear that was starting to take place in his heart went away. If he was correct then he wouldn't need to ever change weapons, he could just repair them in the s.p.a.ce. As for reaching a city, he would first need to have some strength so that no one can bother him. His earlier fear now turned into determination. He would train to get strong if he wants to survive.

"This news is good, but I think I should start training from now on, I should train my magic, and also my body" As he thought of training his body, he suddenly noticed that he was much stronger than before the fight. And to his excitement also much taller than. He hurriedly summoned the screen to see the last alerts. He noticed that his increase in strength and height was due to the added stats.

And he also got a new talent, Sword mastery, probably due to the Origin s.p.a.ce wanting to help him. He was happy, he had just thought About training and a manual had appeared in his inventory for sword practice along with the talent necessary for it. For the new weapon it was left for him to choose the type. He asked Emmy as usual.

"Emmy, do I just drop blood on it like I did before? How can the weapon I want show up then?" he asked.

"[the weapon you have in mind will show up]" Emmy replied in her calm voice.

He then immediately took the core and this time used the knife to p.r.i.c.k his finger and dropped some blood on it. It s.h.i.+ned like usual and like Emmy said the weapon he had in mind showed up. But this time while still holding it he used scan on it, as he hadn't thought of using it in the past.

Ned was excited about this, he had wished for a dagger to help in hunting his prey. But the bonus it gave was simply awesome. He wondered if even his other weapon and armor was the same, so he immediately checked, since now that he was in the s.p.a.ce he was safe, and had plenty of time.

"wow, my sword is different than the dagger, I wonder what should I name it…" He thought briefly that if naming it would make it stronger or not, but got back to checking his armor set as it was the only thing left. As it had a lot of parts he just told Emmy to scan his whole armor set.

It was actually better than his weapons as it provided small increase instead of slight increase, which was obviously better. He then began to check the knife and even the water bottle.

The knife was simply as ordinary as it could be but the bottle came as a surprise to him, it could hold about 2 L , which he thought was sufficient for him and it can never run out therefore he was happy with it.
