Once Ned reached behind Yulyas and Lucy, he brought out a red potion that was the best that could be found and drank it. It would heal his wounds quickly and dull his pain in the process.

He needed to not feel the pain. After all he still had a fight to finish.

He knew that the demon was not an ordinary rank six. Because his dot on the map was much bigger than Amelia even though they were supposed to be at the same rank.

As for talking with Amelia, he wasn't going to bother with that for now, he just sent a glare her way, but he will make sure to lecture her later.

"You okay Ray? I think you should rest for a bit" Yulyas said. And even Lucy nodded to him, indicating the same.

"I'm fine, and in a while, you'll know that we need every help we can get" he spoke normally but everyone that was near heard him.

Yulyas and Lucy were confused, but Amelia being a rank 6, had felt that the demon wasn't simple. And so agreed with Ned.

"Indeed, he is right" she said and although she had wanted to apologize to Ned, it wasn't the time for that now.

"Haha haha, you human, that is wearing a helmet, you have a good perception." The demon general laughed and looked at Ned.

But suddenly his laughing face changed into a murderous one as he said.

"You have foiled my plan of killing your naïve general. You had better be ready for the consequences" and when he finished he turned to his original form that was taller reaching past two meters and looked similar to a human only with a red skin and some minor differences.

His ears were pointed like Ned had seen from the elves in his past life, but the demon ears were much shorter. There were some dark red scales under his eyes, and he had a scar on his mouth from both sides.

Ned despite the change and unlike his shocked allies, looked calmly at the demon, " Your plan? From what I can gather, I think that you are some type of demon race that is able to transform into someone. And you had wanted to kill this narrow minded general of mine and transform into her, right?"

The demon was surprised and wanted to refute but since he thought that they would be dead soon anyway he didn't mind much and said " Indeed" he wanted to continue to say something but was interrupted by Ned.

"Then the other five that are disguised, are they from your clan, too?" Ned said.

And everyone who heard this gasped, except the demon general who narrowed his eyes at Ned.

"How were you able to identify them? It appears that you human has to die no matter what. And no they are not from my clan just my minions" The demon general said.

But Ned just ignored him and ordered some of his men to kill those five that were disguised, and n.o.body objected as they had seen everything that happened so far.

Amelia had felt angry when both the demon general and Ned had insulted her as naïve and narrow minded, but she knew they were right so she stayed silent.

When Ned said that there were five demons disguised she wanted to stop his order for their deaths as the demon could be saying it on purpose, she at least wanted to wait until she is able to verify it, but she didn't want to do something wrong again.

And indeed as he had said once they injured them, those demons in disguise turned to their original forms, after which they were soon dead after.

The demon general didn't say anything when the demons died, he clearly didn't care about them.

But Ned wanted to get him to be angry, so that he can exploit his openings. As even after the demon went into his original form Ned's instincts were still tingling.

"Before we begin our fight, I want to tell you that this time you demons have lost the war once again" Ned said, and Amelia and the demon were confused at that.

But Yulyas and Lucy knew what he was talking about.

"What do you mean by that?" the demon was getting more and more irritated now, he wanted nothing but to shred Ned to parts.

"Oh, it's nothing, it is just that, we have come from your base, and had killed everybody there." As soon as Ned said that, the atmosphere in the place changed, and Ned saw some dark substance climb from the shadow of the demon and wrap around him.

"IMPOSSIBLE, you are but a rank 4, you wouldn't be able to touch much less kill my little brothers, especially Tralgul" the demon yelled at first but continued saying the rest with a proud tone.

"Was this Tralgul the rank 5 who uses his claws? He wanted to avenge his brothers but In the end he died too, by my own hands." Ned calmly said, and even Amelia knew what he was doing now.

"IMPOSSIBLE, IMPOSSIBLE, YOU ARE LYING" the demon yelled as the dark energy surrounding him started to get chaotic, and as he yelled his mouth opened up from where the scar lines were on before.

After which the demon suddenly was enveloped in the black energy. And all that was heard was the yells.

Amelie got near Ned and said " are you sure of what you're doing?"

Ned glared at her and said, "would you prefer for him to fight us normally only to surprise us later?"

She nodded and then got ready.

The potion had made it possible for Ned to move now, as it already healed his broken ribs. But his hand was still hurt.

He brought the s.h.i.+eld from his inventory and equipped it directly above his right gauntlet.

Along the months he had inscribed every magic that could increase defense on it. Mainly with earth magic, and crystal magic.

Now it would be able to block rank 6 attacks and possibly rank 7.

He got his katana drawn and prepared for what's coming. It would be hard to fight with one arm, but he had to otherwise they would all die.

He turned his hand under the gauntlet to fire element, and coted his sword with fire.

Amelia was feeling guilty when she saw his limp left hand. But she decided to find a way to make it up to him later. And she couldn't stop herself from getting surprised when she saw his sword had turned into fire.

Now after a few seconds the black energy had dispersed and the demon was once again visible, but had some changes too.

He grew two dark black horns on his head, and had an armor like black scales covering his chest and arms until the elbows, and then the scales continued from his wrists to his claws.

As for his lower body it was left unchanged except the new long and thin tail that divided to two at the tip.
