Once he stepped in the hall of the inn he headed to a table and sat. Ordered his food, and ate it quietly.

Once done he was quite happy.

He knew that Alaster and Lori were giving him s.p.a.ce so that he can think, and he felt grateful. He was even prepared to go from the inn if they bothered him.

Once again taking the map, he saw where the warrior guild was, and went to rent a room.

The process was finished smoothly. And he trained to his heart content.

Three months pa.s.sed in this style, where he woke up, ate breakfast, and went to the mage guild and trained his magic. Then ate lunch after which he goes to the warrior guild to train.

He had talked a bit with Lori in these months, they could be considered friends now, as even her status said [friends]. Since she never brought the subject of being a hero he was quite happy to be friends with her.

He also reached peak rank four, but he knew that the old man was right about it being hard to breakthrough to rank five. He knew that something was missing but he couldn't find it to reach rank five.

Now he had made the decisions that he'll be the old man's disciple but he wouldn't get involved in the politics and playing hero to save the world. He would of course help the humans defeat the demons in the upcoming attack, he wasn't denying his roots even if he was from another world. However, he wouldn't go about saying I'm a hero and save every person getting bullied.

He wasn't that type of person. He in the months spent in this world had come to know that he enjoys the thrill of a fight, even when he gets overly hurt. And so he wanted to get strong in search of adventures. In search of strong opponents.

But for now he withhold being his disciple until the demons attack is stopped. He had made the decision of partic.i.p.ating to see the said demons.

And now there was but two weeks until the army reaches the wall.

There was a type of magic that the humans use to see when the demons will attack. There wasn't anyway to know which kingdom will be attacked, but once the demons army sets out, the humans were able to see the time they will reach with a spell.

And so Ned trained his body and mind everyday awaiting the upcoming invasion.

Once again days pa.s.sed and now there was just two days left. And if you went up the wall you would be able to see a dark ma.s.s of red heading this way.

Today as he was getting back from the warriors guild he was feeling a bit tired so he wanted to eat quickly and enter the s.p.a.ce to meditate, meditation was sort of relaxing for him even better than the sleep but sometimes he still likes to take a short nap.

After he ate his food, and while retiring to his room, he met Lori standing near his door.

He was not too surprised though, as he always had the map on, when outside of the s.p.a.ce, and he had seen her when he was eating.

"Hey, do you need something" he asked as he got close to her.

She nodded and said "I wanted to ask you, will you be partic.i.p.ating in the fight against the demons?" he saw the anxiousness on her face.

"Yes I will, I want to see the threat that everybody speaks of" he said, and it was real as he really wanted to see the demons.

"It is dangerous, you don't know how brutal the demons could b-" she started saying but stopped when he held his hand up motioning for her stop.

"I know that you are worried about me, but you yourself should know that you should never look down on people, although we have gotten close, you have actually never saw me fighting right? So you don't know how strong I am and also I never underestimate my enemy" he said as he taped the katana on his waist.

"That's a good idea, I have never seen you fight, how about you fight with my grandpa? It would help me feel at ease and also be an experience for you too" she said looking at him hopefully, he was her friend and she wouldn't want to see him die. And she knows that many people die when fighting the demons.

Ned was about to say no, but then he thought against it. He had never fought another human being or a humanoid monster, so this fight would be helpful to him.

And so he nodded his head "Okay I agree".
