Hero Of The World 15 Chapter 15: Incinerate

Since he spent a whole year training there were some changes to him. His hair was cut roughly around his neck. As he didn't have a scissor he had cut it using the knife once it reached his back. His face grew more longer and manly and he had an unkempt beard.

His height had reached 190cm once he broke through rank two. As for his muscles they only grew a bit more once he reached rank three. Equipping the rest of his equipments, he turned his map on and got ready for the fight.

He now with his equipment on looked like a proper warrior. With two daggers on the back above his waist ready to be used by him. He had two small knifes each strapped on one of his thighs.

And on his back was a small round s.h.i.+eld that could be attached above his left or right gauntlet by a strap. It was a small s.h.i.+eld that wouldn't hinder movements and would be used to parry attacks.

The new equipment's he had got was all obtained from some small achievements he had met the requirements of.

He even had a magic staff in his inventory that was 1,5m and made of some type of hard to break wood. It was dark blue and at it's tops had a couple twigs wrapped around a blue crystal.

However in this fight he would either use his daggers or use magic without the wand. So it will be left until the future. And incase he wasn't able to finish the beast he even had a trump card up his sleeve.

Finally ready he got out of the s.p.a.ce and started running in a certain direction.

Along the months the beast had come to his cave many times, after he was determined to kill it, and he had tailed it one of those times to know it's hideout. It lived very far from his cave. And in the place he found it's lair there were many beasts of rank one to rank 2. And to his surprise the bear actually lorded over them.

It was one of the reasons why he thought it was rank three.

And the direction he was running to now was into the lairs of those beasts it commanded so that when they fight it wouldn't use numbers on him.

Reaching the first one he entered stealthily and found it sleeping. Wasting no time he unsheathed his right dagger and got behind it slitting it's throat before it even knew what is happening. He was now both a swordsman and a rogue of course he would be able to a.s.sa.s.sinate it soundlessly.

Since it was just a rank one beast he didn't need much time to kill it. Turning around he once again started running in the direction of the next beast. While the beast corpse behind him vanished suddenly, as he had put it inside the inventory.

There were seven beasts that he had to kill, they were all between rank 1 and 2, and he made quick work of them except one. It was hard to kill as he had failed to ambush it, as it was already awake on a tree. But he killed it quickly once it landed on the ground using an earth spike.

Once he killed them he ran into the lair of the big boss. He didn't care if he would make an achievement once he killed it or not, all he wanted was to test his limits against it.

Once he reached it's lair. He got atop a tree, and kept looking at it's cave entrance. He lamented the limitations of using the video projection. He would have to enter the s.p.a.ce from around it's cave to be able to use it. He did have two chances to enter the s.p.a.ce today, but didn't want to waste it if it wasn't worth it.

A couple minutes later, he knew that the beast was asleep and so he stealthily got inside it's cave, and watched it's large body sleeping in a corner. And started to walk near it while still using the shadows around the walls.

He had already unsheathed his daggers both. Once he was only 5 meters away from it, he felt that if he got any closer he would alert It. He got into a stance and started channeling mana into his blades and held them diagonally, and when they reached their capacity he swung them as fast as he could.

Such action would seem crazy in other peoples eyes as he was still far from it and his attack won't reach the beast. However two pure energy arcs were suddenly materialized in front of the neck of the beast.

But Ned once attacked jumped to the back a couple meters as he, once finished felt a killing intent lock onto him that made the hair on his back rise up.

The bear monstrosity took his attack and roared at Ned. And he could see that his void slash had failed as there appeared around it's neck some sort of crystal armor.

He grinned at it and taunted it "h.e.l.lo, I'm the one you've been looking for the last year, and I've come to claim your head" after speaking he used his dagger to make a head cutting gesture.

The beast got up from its lying posture and stood on it's two legs and issued a roar that made a cloud of dust rise up in the cave, it was clearly angered.

"ROARR"

"Oh s.h.i.+t" Ned jumped to the side without thinking about anything else. He had felt the mana gather in the earth below his feet and knew the beast had used some type of magic.

Then he heard a 's.h.i.+ng' sound from where he was standing. Once the dust settled back up. He saw the beast looking at him and where he was standing previously on purplexed. It didn't know how he avoided it's attack. Ned seeing where he once stood drew a sharp breath. There was a sharp crystal spear protruding from the earth that would have left him half dead if it touched him.

He wasn't scared however rather he was getting more excited.

"Hahaha I wouldn't expect anything less from you. Otherwise this wouldn't even be a fight" He spoke to it as he started running in it's direction. Once he reached it, it swung it's claws at a fast speed but Ned was even faster as he ducked under it and slashed at it with his left hand at the elbow of the hand it had swung and followed by his right dagger aimed at its right eye.

It 's elbow was injured but it had s.h.i.+elded it's eye using it's other forelimb. Once he saw this he jumped back and readied a new attack. After a couple of moves he knew that he wasn't dealing much damage to it. His daggers couldn't penetrate much on it's hide, and it was even spamming many crystal spears at where he is standing.

Getting tired he created some s.p.a.ce and instantly switched the daggers with his katana. He knew that the stamina of a rank 3 wasn't to be underestimated, he was jumping from place to place with a fast speed but he wasn't even tired, and beasts were known for their stamina.

Getting into a drawing stance, he used one of his greatest techniques. Mountain splitting slash, as he dashed at it. The bear only saw a blur before it felt pain at the place that is now missing it's right arm, and turned to the back glaring maliciously at Ned that appeared behind it with his sword sheathed.

He was breathing a bit heavily and keeping an eye on the bear. He knew the resilience of beasts, and knew it's still had the capacity to fight.

As if to prove it, it roared at him and suddenly on it's remaining limb started to appear crystals much bigger than before, it even made the already scary spikes on its back much bigger.

"ROARRRRRR"

Now incapable of running on four limbs, it's speed had slowed down. And Ned was prepared for it's charge as he stepped to the size and kicked it hard enough to throw it rolling on the ground.

Once he threw it, he felt something was wrong, and suddenly felt the mana in the ground had gathered in a circle around him, and released many crystal spears from all directions.

He equipped his s.h.i.+eld on his left gauntlet almost immediately and deflected the first one using it and the second one using his katana, as for the third one he got his knife from his thigh and threw it into the place from where it was coming off sucessfuly destroying it in the earth. But he failed to dodge the last one coming from behind him and impaling him from the back of his right shoulder.

He groaned and glared at the beast that didn't want him to have time to remove it and was running at him. Getting angry he finally made his mind to use his magic.

His hands below the gauntlet suddenly turned red. It wasn't just the color though as it had become made from fire elements from the fingers until the wrist.

his gauntlets had fire immunity therefore they stayed looking the same.

He placed his katana back into the inventory, and started running at it too. Once it wanted to swing it's remaining hand he held it due to his superior speed and swung it to the back, and punched it's throat, and then he placed his open palm in front of it's face and muttered "incinerate" .

To which from inside his gauntlets his hand released fire that burned it's head immediately.

"Tsk, I had come to claim your head, but I guess your body would do too" he stored the body in his inventory, and sat on the ground breathing heavily, but he still had a happy smile on his rather handsome face.
