"My luggage is in my car," then tossed her car keys to the man. She heard keys clink on the floor which prompted her to turn herself around. This arrogant man just looked at her, his gaze lethal.
--------------
He looked at her with a sinister look at first. He was surprised to see the young miss in the mansion. He was about to ask her what made her come but was taken aback when she suddenly went past him and entered his house without being invited.
"She is as arrogant as before," he thought before he gave her a dangerous look just as their eyes met.
"Did you just ignore me?" she asked.
"And just who do you think you are?" he asked back sarcastically then dragged her outside and slammed the door behind her.
--------------------
"Arrogant son of a b.i.t.c.h!" she shouted as the door slammed with a loud bang behind her. Who does he think he is? He is just a mere caretaker of his grandfather's mansion. How dare he treats her like tras.h.!.+ She pounded on the door.
"Open the door! Open the door before I call the police and have them drag you out of my house!" she shouted.
Just when she was about to pound on the door again, the door opened, a piece of paper shoved in front of her to read. She could not read the entire doc.u.ment but the first line says it all. DEED OF SALE. Signed by his grandfather 4 years ago. The mansion was sold.
"And by the way, my name's Brandon Chiu, not son of a b.i.t.c.h," then he gave her a dangerous smile.
She froze. It was as if her world was torn to pieces and left her floating without anything to hold on to. She came here to find comfort only to be broken again the moment she arrived. And she was even embarra.s.sed by this arrogant b.a.s.t.a.r.d who happened to be her grandfather's a.s.sistant before.
"Well? Are you just going to stand there? Go back to your father and marry the man. Who knows, you might fall in love with him after all. I heard he's good looking and very capable."
"Who are you to tell me what to do? You are the worst! You don't even know me personally and you lecture me about things," she shouted in frustration, tears welling from her eyes.
"I am not lecturing you. I am telling you the best thing you need to do."
He was dumbfounded when he saw what she did next.
"Please let me in for a few weeks," she cried while kneeling in front of him. "I can be your housecleaner or gardener. I will do anything as long as you allow me to live here. Let me live with you." As stress and exhaustion sank in, she collapsed in front of him leaving the latter in panick.
