"You can't do this to me, Dad!" she said in between gasps. She was enjoying her usual shopping when the store attendant came back nervously holding her black VIP card and told her that the card was blocked.
Her father told her a few days ago that her marriage was set in 3 months. "It was your grandfather's wish," he told her. So after they had an argument which made her quite furious, she went off and stayed at Sunflower Garden Hotel until today when she discovered that her father had checked her out of the hotel and canceled her VIP card.
"I can do what I want young woman. Unless you marry the man your grandfather chose for you I will not give anything. Either marry him or become a beggar I would not care!" her father said in a stern voice.
"I will not marry someone I do not love!" she said controlling the anger she has been keeping inside her. "I will not marry a stranger!"
After her grandfather died 2 years ago, her father has been telling her that there was this man her grandfather chose to marry her. Her grandfather was worried someone would take advantage of her and take away the company just like what happened 4 years ago after her mother died and her dad took another wife only to find out later that the woman has been scheming behind his back. The company almost went bankrupt but luckily was saved by a rich young man she only knew as the grandson of her grandfather's best friend.
"Jianna, meet him just once. He is a good man. He is trusted by your grandfather and I knew him since he was a child."
"No! I want to marry someone I love." tears fell from her eyes. "You and grandfather married because you loved mother and grandmother. Why can't you let me do the same?"
"We love you and we are doing this for you."
"You are forcing me into an arranged marrige and you tell me it's the best for me. No, Dad. I will not marry him." With that she turned and left the study and directly went out of the house and out of her father's life.
