Su Tian saw that Xi Yun was eating so happily that his little lips were red and covered in oil, she told him, "Xiao Yun, suck out all the marrow, okay? It has a lot of calcium and would help you grow tall."

That was probably already proven to be fake science, but it was still enough to use to fool a little kid.

After last night and half a day today, Xi Yun was less awkward around them and much more lively than he was before. He even talked back to her, "I am short now because I haven't started my growth burst yet."

He Qingwan asked him, "How old are you now, Xiao Yun?"

Su Tian smiled. Awesome, she wouldn't have to work that in herself now.

Xi Yun replied solemnly, "I will be 12 in three months."

Su Tian secretly let out a sigh of relief. At least she wouldn't have to worry about little cutie's legs in the next three months.

After lunch, when Su Tian was picking up the bowls and plates and bringing them into the kitchen, she asked about Xi Zhiqiang when Xi Yun wasn't around. 

Whatever he was planning on doing with that woman, he already had half a day's time. Did he not ask about Xi Yun for half a day?

He Qingwan turned around and saw that Xi Yun was already wiping down the table with a rag. n.o.body even asked of him, what a good little kid!

Seeing that Xi Yun could neither see or hear them, she finally whispered disgruntledly, "He came by at around 10 AM and told me that he had to leave the house in the day time and asked me to watch over Xi Yun for a couple of days."

Xi Zhiqiang had returned last night when they all went to bed. Not wanting him to worry about Xi Yun when he returned, Su Tian had written a note and put it on his door, informing him that Xi Yun was over at her house.

Su Tian merely acknowledged what her mother told her but didn't share what she had witnessed in the morning.

Su Tian put down the bowls and plates but didn't have time to do the dishes. She picked up some loose change and was about to head out when Xi Yun suddenly ran over to her and called her, "Jie jie." He said shyly and pursed his lips before saying, "Aunty had taught me how to make coconut squares. They are still being formed in the fridge. They will be ready when jie jie is home from school tonight."

Having said that, he didn't wait for a response from Su Tian before he ran back inside the house and continued wiping down the table.

Su Tian couldn't help but smile. Eh? Coconut squares made by an 11-year-old for the first time?

When Su Tian returned home that night, Xi Yun was already picked up by Xi Zhiqiang.

He Qingwan brought out the coconut squares made by Xi Yun. The presentation wasn't perfect, not as elegant-looking as those made by He Qingwan, but considering it was made by an 11-year-old for the first time, that was quite good already. The effort he put in was obvious.

He Qingwan, "Try one quickly. Xiao Yun specifically asked me to have you try them before he left."

Su Tian picked one up and took a bite. The richness of coconut milk and the sweetness of coconut flakes exploded in her mouth when she bit into one. It was smooth and spongy and, since it was just taken out from the refrigerator, the chillness could reach one's heart.

She smiled, "Aiya, mom is so incredible. Even an 11-year-old could do so well under your instructions!"

He Qingwan poked her forehead with a smile. She was an emotional person, finally the last bit of sadness from Xi Yun being picked up was gone now.
