Admitting defeat

After a while, Xu Yi ended his call and gave Arch Magus Ofalian and Arch Magus Laduca a hand signal to wait.

After another while, Arch Magus Ofalian and Arch Magus Laduca felt at the same time that there was another strange change to the magic s.p.a.ce near Mero City in front of them.

When they felt this familiar change, the two of them looked at each other and gave a nod.

The unusual condition of this magic s.p.a.ce was exactly like the magic cage that had surrounded them. It was clear that the Frestech Chamber of Commerce had used an unknown method to change the magic s.p.a.ce in front of them.

But when they checked with their magic power, they could tell that this time it was a twenty meter tall and ten meter wide rectangular prism that they couldn’t see how thick it was because their magic power couldn’t go in. It wasn’t like a perfect sphere like the one that had trapped all of them inside previously.

The two of them felt a.s.sured because this meant that Xu Yi just wanted them to give it a try and didn’t want to trap them again.

Of course, with their current conditions, if Xu Yi worked with the powerful Frestech Chamber of Commerce guards, they could easily take care of them. They wouldn’t need to waste all this energy to lay down this trap.

Arch Magus Ofalian gave a cold snort and used his magic power, quickly sending out that black ball in front of him at the strange rectangular prism shaped magic s.p.a.ce in front of him.

Everyone was focused on the black ball that instantly pa.s.sed through over two hundred meters.

The black ball quickly came into contact with the strange magic s.p.a.ce.

As soon as it touched it, the strange magic s.p.a.ce that couldn’t be seen with the naked eye released countless multi coloured lines, while also letting out a high pitched “zi, zi” sound.

The black ball demonstrated the might of all the magic power of the thirteen Great Magicians gathered by Arch Magus Ofalian, as the countless lines of various colours created by that magic s.p.a.ce were all sucked in.

However, when one line disappeared, there would be more that appeared.

In an instant, there were countless lines that represented that magic s.p.a.ce that appeared in front of everyone.

Seeing that the lines were limited to the rectangular prism s.p.a.ce, Arch Magus Ofalian and Arch Magus Laduca shared a surprised look.

Normally speaking, powerful magicians could use their control over elemental magic energy to forcefully create a special magic s.p.a.ce. For example, the magic domains that the two of them had as Arch Magi was a concrete example.

But the magic s.p.a.ce that magicians created were in the shape of a perfect sphere and wouldn’t take any other shapes.

It was because magicians used their magic power to control the elemental magic energy around them to form this magic s.p.a.ce. The range would be affected by the strength of the magic power and their control over elemental magic power, but because the range was limited, it was centered around the magician themself and would take the shape of a sphere.

“Ofalian, this is……” Arch Magus Laduca looked at the magic s.p.a.ce that seemed like it could collapse at any moment and his expression became a bit nervous.

Arch Magus Ofalian’s expression sank and he was no longer as unconvinced by Xu Yi as before, revealing a serious expression.

Arch Magus Laduca looked at him and gave a sigh. He turned to look at Xu Yi in the distance and raised his voice to say, “Chairman Xu, we’ve lost.”
