Just like what she had been told, she could sense a different feeling from this place. She could sense magic from all around the place.
"Oof!" Hanabi heard a small thud beside her. She s.h.i.+fted her position to help the little child stand up. But to her surprise, the little pink-haired girl is no ordinary child.
Hanabi held both of her shoulders and stared at her fluffy ears, then saw her cute little face and she suddenly blushes when she saw her wriggling tail. Hanabi could not restrain herself so she hugged Nana while screaming.
"You're so adorably cute!" she praised as she spins around while hugging the already dizzy little Leonin.
"Nana!" Harley called out as he ran towards the two. "Hey, stranger! Put her down!"
Hanabi ignored him and continued playing with Nana's ears and tail.
"Miss, please stop!" Nana retaliated while trying to prevent herself bursting into laughter. "That tickles!"
Just then, Hanabi felt a sudden change and got her hands off from the Leonin. She gazed at Harley and saw him ready to throw his cards at her.
"You two are mages," she guessed but her instinct tells her that there is something more in Harley.
"Harley, don't fight her. She is a newcomer," Nana said as she rubbed her red cheeks which Hanabi had pinched due to her cuteness.
"Don't you dare lay a finger on her," Harley warned as he points his magic baton at her.
Hanabi paused for a while before she giggled at his action.
"What's so funny?!" Harley yelled at her.
Hanabi calmed herself and patted his shoulder, "It's good to have some puppy love. 'Til we meet again."
With that, Hanabi left and searched for a place she could temporarily stay in. She managed to rent a decent room and finally got the chance to rest for she planned to look for the person the next day. As she gazed at the beautiful sunset on her window, she suddenly thought of her confession to the man who had been harsh on her.
"Am I a m.a.s.o.c.h.i.s.t?" she mumbled to herself as she blushes like an idiot. "Of all people, why'd I choose that s.a.d.i.s.tic jerk?"
Hanabi lets out a heavy sigh and watched the people come and go. As the sun starts to sink, a commotion had began when a curly, brown-haired girl came pa.s.sing by. She is wearing a lacy, blue dress. Almost all of the people came rus.h.i.+ng towards her and greeting her with glee. The people are calling her Guinevere and Hanabi predicted that she must be from a royal family as to be admired by the people.
The next day, Hanabi is now ready to look for the woman she is meant to meet after hypnotizing her. She asked around but unfortunately for her, she found no clue about her. Giving herself a break, Hanabi entered a restaurant to have her meal. Near her table was a group of men and she quietly listened to their conversation.
"Training to be a soldier in Swan Castle is killing me," complained by one skinny man.
"Of course, serving the royal family is such a great honor and only the deserving people are meant to work in there," replied another man.
"Tigreal had become more stern and careful after the Land of Dawn has been attacked. He is ten times scarier than before," the skinny man added with a tired look on his face.
"Hey, hey, have you heard?" a chiseled man b.u.t.ted in. "Have you heard of the a.s.sa.s.sin being trained by Tigreal himself? It's actually a woman."
The men banged the table in surprise but Hanabi acted like she does not give a d.a.m.n about what they're talking about.
"She wears a hood all the time and she has this killing intent aura surrounding her. I keep getting gooseb.u.mps just by thinking of her," another man commented which made Hanabi look at their direction.
She stood and approached them.
"Excuse me, can you tell me where I can find that a.s.sa.s.sin? I've got some important business with her," she stated.
Despite feeling shocked of her sudden appearance, the skinny man replied, "She is currently living in the Swan Castle. Though it would be hard for you to approach her since getting inside the princess' palace is really hard."
"Is that so? Doesn't she go out sometime?" the scarlet ninja asked.
"She does but it's really rare," replied one of them.
"Ah!" one man exclaimed, "You're quite lucky. Tigreal and his team would have an outdoor training tomorrow morning and I'm sure Natalia is going with him. They'll be at the outskirts of the city."
"Natalia?" asked Hanabi.
"She's the a.s.sa.s.sin you're looking for, right?"
"Ah, yes, yes. Thank you for your help," Hanabi replied before going back to her table.
"Tomorrow, huh," Hanabi mumbled to herself. She looked around the city and decided to go around and stroll since she was given the time.

While walking near a garden with flowers in full bloom, Hanabi b.u.mped into someone who seemed to be in a rush.
"I'm sorry," she apologized as she bows a little.
The white-haired guy stared at her with his silver-colored eyes. A smile was formed in his lips and nods as an acknowledgement. Hanabi was tranced with his admirable and refres.h.i.+ng looks.
"Is something wrong?" he asked which snapped her back to reality. Hanabi shook her head intently and smiled back.
"Nothing," she replied.
"I'm Gusion Paxley. May I know your name, miss?" he asked.
"Hanabi Scarlet," she replied. Gusion held her hand and kissed it as a sign of respect.
Hanabi felt awkward for such action is new to her.
"You didn't have to do that though, Paxley," she stated but he simply shook his head.
"A kiss on a lady's hand is a sign of respect," Gusion said. "That is one of the royal culture here."
"I see, thanks for that useful info," she stated as she curtsy as a respect as well. Gusion smiled at her before bidding goodbye.
"A gentleman, eh," Hanabi mumbled to herself. "A total opposite of him."
A smile was formed on her lips as she remembers Hanzo's facial expression after her confession.
