All three held back their loathing for the short, dumpy man whose scraggly black beard made his face rounder and statue shorter. He was wearing the Glan's uniform of maroon leather armour, which was stretched too tightly around his gut. He scuffed up clouds of dust from the heavy boots he struggled to walk in.
They hid their laughter as he stumbled on his way into their cell.
He was backed by some heavy hitters with bulging biceps and staunch builds. Sierra scoffed at the Tall Poppies she could easily cut down in one blow.
"Aah, Sierra. You show the men what to expect when they invade Alaeg. Good girl." He teased her.
"Sir Master Tinker. You flatter this simple girl too much." Sierra feigned a dumb response and humble bow.
This seemed to appease the arrogant small man. She gave the other two women a look of warning. Neither Hannah nor Lilia were prepared to rush in for an attack. Whilst they were playing by the rules they were unrestrained.
Tinker approached Hannah and felt up her b.u.t.t cheeks, which made Sierra seething with rage inside.
"You know I always liked you." His hot breathed burned her ears.
Curt shouting and sounds of an explosion interrupted their moment.
"Captain! The prisoners are revolting." A pipsqueak soldier panted.
Tinker stumbled out of the cell, slamming the cell door behind them.
The woman blew sighs of relief at the unexpected interruption, which saved them from Tinker's hara.s.sment.
"Let's take advantage."Lilia declared.
Whilst Sierra was saving them from being play toys, it gave Lilia time to scope the place and their cell. She realised that some of the magic around the bricks of the dark corner they held their strategy meetings was weak. With some strength they could push them out and create an opening.
The three women used the strength in their feet as the pushed against the weak bricks, feeling hope at the shuffling sounds and dust clouds stirring about the area.
"That's it!" Lilia cheered them on.
Light poured into the dark cell from the hole they had created. It was soon replaced with a view of a four legged creature with sinew limbs that rushed at them with teeth bared ready to shred their bodies to pieces for its dinner.

"Calleak!" Lilia used her strength she had acquired during her quarry labour to push off the dog-like beast.
It's long snout parted four-ways with threats of wrapping its teeth around their limbs.
Hannah grabbed at bricks they had knocked out and smashed it on the Calleak's head, making its snout retract and body become unconscious.
The three of them climbed through the hole and found themselves in a dungeon corridor that was barely lit from randomly placed iron scones. A strong icy breeze was felt from the darkness to their backs. Sierra sniffed at the breeze and sensed an unusual stink of the outdoors. It was a foul pong from the desert swamp.
"We go that way." She pointed to the darkness.
"Are you sure?" Hannah asked with obvious worry on her face.
"The Glan has been breached from the Forbidden Desert. Right now, we are the last things on their mind." Sierra soberly advised.
Lilia prompted them into a run for the darkness and only hope for their escape.
