Fortunately, Corin had experience with the terrain during his many hunts and scout campaigns. He knew they had at least a day's worth of run before they needed to reach the safe zone out towards the South-West.
"Hurry men!" He called out to them, pus.h.i.+ng his sprints harder.
Neither Darick nor Luca complained as they picked up their pace and ran at Corin's speed. They were going to try for a back-door approach into The Glan when Corin found his front door plans strongly turned down, due to the high risk of failure.
Stealth entry would be their best approach. From Corin's memories, he felt they wouldn't be bothered to secure the wall closest to the Forbidden Desert Swamp for obvious reasons it was a hazardous danger likely to kill a person upon first impact.
Corin had wandered into the swamp by accident years back and had managed to survive, reaching The Glan's walls. He spotted a gap when he fled from being captured and hoped that gap was still there.
Both of the other men had jumped to this long shot of a chance. Braving the harsh demonic desert was better than seeing Luca being held by a slimy man.
The sun had waned over a ring of bluestone boulders they entered. Corin picked up a jagged piece of rock off the ground and used it to strike the side of a boulder, making it vibrate. He muttered a spell that sparked the bluestone into a ring of hazy light that created a protective s.h.i.+eld around them. They would be protected for the night.
Luca slumped himself down, feeling lethargic and clammy underneath his bottle-green body armour. He knew his lùth was draining out to a low point.
"There's a stone crop over there." Corin pointed to a wall of tall rocks.
Darick nodded. He helped Luca to a spot behind the rocks, making sure he was comfortable as they sat against the stone wall to relish the coolness felt to their backs.
"Here." Darick offered Luca some water from a mashk waterskin he carried, but Luca was too weak to accept it.

Instead, he took a swig, holding water in his mouth. He pressed his lips to Luca's, to feed water into him. Luca accepted his water and the pa.s.sionate kiss that came with it. Darick stowed away the mashk waterskin and made Luca more comfortable by loosening his body suit. He kissed more of his lùth into Luca, moving the man into a position of further lovemaking.
Luca felt his body come alive with feverish pleasure. Darick's kisses and tender touches to his naked skin was restoring his lùth and will to live. He wanted to feel more of him.
"Please Darick, I want yours." Luca begged with a husky voice.
The red binds on their wrists showed when Darick eased his member into Luca and gently thrusted to stir moans of pleasure from his spouse.
On the other side of the rock wall, a fair bit of distance from the lovemaking couple, Corin sat with his mind preoccupied with his plans on saving Hannah. It was the least he could do to block out the distasteful moaning coming from his brother and that Seriph prince.
By morning Luca was ready to go with an abundance of energy to charge full speed ahead. Darick was less than perky having to satisfy his spouse the entire night. Corin rolled his eyes at the pair and prompted them to make haste.
