Ryu and Kakas.h.i.+ got back to the village after a few days. Kakas.h.i.+ was pretty much the same as always, reading that d.a.m.n book every second he gets. They reported the completion of their mission. Sarutobi asked Ryu and Kakas.h.i.+ to stay back.

Sarutobi: Ryu, your are stronger than me so it will be unfair of me to keep you as a Genin or a Chunin. Thus I have decided to let you become Jounin.

Ryu was confused: But don't I need some achievements first?

Sarutobi: Yes. But you already got them. You defeated Fumio alone. Though he is weak among Jounins, he had connections with the mist so he was hard to catch and his crimes put a high bounty on his head. It was the Daimyo who put the highest bounty for him.

Ryu nodded and asked: So what do I need to do?

Sarutobi: You will fight three Jounins at the same time, if you can beat one of them then you pa.s.s.

Ryu: Why three?

Sarutobi : This is a special test arranged for you. Usually a person needs to have many achievements and the strength needed to become a Jounin. You already have the strength, as for a achievements...this mission has collected that.

Ryu: The Daimyo..Huh

Sarutobi smiled: So Ryu, do you want to take the test?

Ryu: Yes. When I pa.s.s, wouldn't I bec...

Sarutobi smiled and finished the sentence: become a Jounin just after graduation.

Speaking upto here Ryu and Sarutobi looked at Kakas.h.i.+. Kakas.h.i.+ was annoyed seeing the old and young pair so much in synch. He sighed, somewhat helpless at these two. They both seemed to be saying

' There is a genius like you '

' I am a genius like you '.

Kakas.h.i.+ ignored them and asked s.h.i.+kaku standing next to the Hokage : So..when is the test?

s.h.i.+kaku was standing there from the beginning watching everything. He was amused seeing the deadeyed Kakas.h.i.+ annoyed. He answered Kakas.h.i.+

' Tomorrow at 10 '

Sarutobi : Ryu, get some rest. Kakas.h.i.+ as well, you will be one of the Jounins.

Ryu hearing this : I hope to have a good battle with you.

Sarutobi : Yes Kakas.h.i.+. Do your best.

Kakas.h.i.+ almost fell over when he heard this. He has fought Ryu before, so he know how strong Ryu is. Moreover during their trip to the land of water Kakas.h.i.+ learned that Ryu is the bounty hunter known by his blade ' Kokus.h.i.+byo '. He felt sad for himself.

Both of them acknowledged and left the office. Ryu said goodbye to Kakas.h.i.+ and went home.

While he was walking home, he checked his t.i.tle

t.i.tle: Sword Grand Master Level 1 (12 Meters)

Ryu: Navii, what's the 12 Meters.

Navii: Master after reaching Grand Master level, your progress will depend on how far you can extend your domain. Each level is 20 meters.

Ryu: So the max distance is 200 meters.

Navii: Yes..but to reach the next level, you need to exceed your limits.

Ryu: What limits?

Navii: Not qualified.

Ryu: Tch..

While he was checking his t.i.tle, he already reached his house. He stood there looking at his home for a couple of minutes. No matter how much he likes excitement, he will only feel relaxed here...Home. He opened the door.

Akane was preparing lunch when she heard the door open. She wondered who it was at this time, Naruto had gone to the academy while her husband is at work and Akio also left for work. She peeked out of the kitchen only to see her son smiling at her. She dropped everything she was doing and quickly went and hugged him

Akane : Welcome home. I am glad you are alright.

Ryu: What are saying mom?. Your son is the only one other than the first Hokage to have Wood Style. Have some confidence.

Akane ruffled his hair : Yeah yeah..You are awesome. You are just in time. I am making lunch.

Ryu corrected his hair ruffled by Akane, he felt warmth inside. He went to the kitchen and started helping his mom. Soon lunch was made and both of them enjoyed their meal.

It wasn't till evening when everyone was together. Hiro came back to see his son home, he asked how the mission went and if he got injured, s.h.i.+sui however wasn't worried about Ryu so he simply asked how the mission was, as for Naruto...well..he didn't let Ryu sleep until he told him every single detail about the mission. Ryu smiled wryly at his brother's character.

Ryu told them about the Jounin test and everyone was surprised and happy. To become a Jounin at the age of 12, the youngest Jounin was Kakas.h.i.+ when he was 10 and he was a genius. Well...Both Hiro and Akane always proclaimed their son to be a genius, s.h.i.+sui thought it was normal for his strength. Naruto was over the moon knowing his big brother is gonna be a Jounin just after graduation, his brother is a genius.

He kept pestering Ryu to teach him new Jutsus and to train him. Ryu was a ' Yes ' man to Naruto's every request. He went to bed and slept like a log. He got up early only to see everyone at the table waiting for him, even Naruto was up.

Ryu: Could you guys calm down. It's just a test, I will pa.s.s.

Akane: We know but still..

Hiro: Eat your breakfast and be on your way.

s.h.i.+sui: Do your bes..well..Just pa.s.s like normal, Ok.

Naruto: Beat the heck out of them, dattebayo!!

Ryu could only smile at this. He had his breakfast and went out. There was still time before the test so strolled around the village. When he thought it was about time, he went to the training grounds where the test will be held.

When he reached there he saw the other two Jounins and recognised them

' Asuma Sarutobi and Might Guy '

Ryu finally had met Might Guy. The only person to have challenged Madara and nearly killed him in his strongest form just by using Taijutsu.
