"Alex Illes?" Olivia exclaimed loudly when she saw the people that entered the room. "Wait, Siana Illes and Alex Illes? Are you two in a secret marriage that no one knows about!?"

Both Sia and Alex were stumbled for words: wasn't the logical conclusion that of them being siblings, especially given their somewhat similar features? How did they become a married couple all of a sudden?

It was Oliver, Olivia's twin brother, that was the first to break the awkward silence,

"Don't pay attention to my sister. She is just weird."

"That's for sure," Alex mumbled under his breath just to be elbowed from the side.

"No worries." Sia turned to Olivia, "I have to disappoint you as he is just my cousin. Yours was a novel perspective though," she chuckled at Olivia's direction in her own attempt to lighten the mood.

Olivia, on the other hand, blushed at her own blunder: it was so obvious yet she made such a stupid remark. She certainly looked like an idiot now.

"Thanks for understanding," Oliver said with a smile, "This is kinda late but well... I am Oliver, and she is my younger twin sister, Olivia. I don't even know where to start thanking you from. Just, thanks for saving our grandma," Oliver was sincere as he looked at Sia with grat.i.tude. He had undergone first aid training but he was sure he wouldn't be able to accomplish what she had done at that moment. The thought in itself scared him.

"Hehe, I will gladly accept your thanks, though, honestly speaking, there is no need for that. On another note, I am really sorry I came so late and even dragged Alex with me. Hope this is not too bothersome."

"Not at all! I have been waiting for you since the moment I learnt about you! You are my angel now. My grandma is not only a grandma to us but also she is like our mother. I don't know what I would have done if... if anything happened to her."

Olivia's voice broke by the end and tears started streaming down her eyes. They lost their mother during their birth, so the only mother she had seen or felt the warmth of was her grandmother. If she were to lose her, it would be worse than the end of the world to her.

Her tears were somewhat unexpected and Oliver didn't know how to react to them. It was Sia, at the moment, that directly went and hugged her. She was a woman and a doctor after all, and she was much more sensitive to such situations. Now that she was out of her surgical scrubs she was more than happy to do what she always felt like doing: hugging the family of the patient whenever they were breaking down.

Sometimes a simple hug could provide much more comfort than thousands of words would.

Olivia readily returned her hug and finally let out all the acc.u.mulated fears that had been haunting her since morning. Though she had cried before, she had to quickly compose herself as to not add to the burden of her father and brother. But once Sia hugged her, she felt like in an embrace of an elder sister in front of whom she could let lose of her worries.

Maybe it was because Sia happened to be the person who saved one of the most important people in her life? Maybe it was simply because she was vulnerable? Whatever it was, she truly felt like crying right then and there.

"Shhh, everything is alright. The danger is gone and your grandma will wake up very soon. You can cry now as much as you want. But when she wakes up you need to stay strong for her."

Sia's voice was soft and warm like never before. She could feel Olivia's grief and she was powerless against it. All she could do was provide her the best support she could. She now felt contended for fighting it out with Alex and Cain and coming here.

After some time Olivia finally calmed down and spoke in a slightly coa.r.s.e voice,

"Umm... Sorry, seems like I have destroyed your clothes." It seemed like fate wanted her to be embarra.s.sed to great lengths today in front of her old and newfound idols.

"My s.h.i.+rt is honoured for being graced by your tears."

Olivia blinked her eyes for a few second and then burst out laughing. She would like to hear such words coming from her boyfriend's mouth but instead received them from a woman.

The two men on the sides also couldn't help their laugh: why was the girl being a macho here?

'Huh? I guess it depends on the person who says the words. When Cain said those words to me I didn't have such a reaction after all," Sia pondered to herself bewildered.

Mrs. Lucy Wilson was still lying on the hospital bed, connected to several machines for checking her stats. She had woken up after the surgery, however, went back to sleeping straight after. Her old age didn't make things easier, as she would still need some more time to wake up.

The ward was a common ward designed for two patients, however, currently there was no one next to her. Thus there was a lot of free s.p.a.ce in the ward.

As they were preparing to sit down at the empty bed, Alex awkwardly stretched his hand towards Olivia to hand the bag full of various food.

"Here, this is for your grandma."

Olivia blanked out for a moment but quickly took the bag from him. She didn't even check the contents but instead continued staring at Alex with glistering eyes. Only she knew what was going on in her mind.

Her gaze was intense enough to make Alex so awkward that he started looking at the ceiling as a distraction. Oliver was once again the person to deal with the awkwardness: it seemed like he was quite used to his sister's antics. He coughed lightly,

"Earth to Olivia?"

This was the embarra.s.sing phrase that normally had the power to bring Olivia back to her senses from her daydreams. And it did its job this time around too, however, it also gave one more reason to Olivia to turn beetroot red. For G.o.d's sake, she absolutely needed a place to hide.

While the two people were feeling awkward and the third was helpless, Sia was the only one who found everything comical and couldn't hold back her chuckle.

"Olivia, are you by any chance a fan of my cousin?"

Olivia turned to Sia with grat.i.tude in her eyes. It was finally the time to salvage the situation!

"Of course I am! I am a fas.h.i.+on major and Alex Illes with his Avalta fas.h.i.+on line is one of the major figures leading the fas.h.i.+on world. I have been writing my dissertation on the new breath he is bringing to the fas.h.i.+on world. I have even been trying to meet him for ages but was always rejected. But here we are and he just turned up in front of me without any prior notice. My heart is beating so fast I might need to take the bed next to grandma. This is just too good to be true."
