Gourmet Emperor: Master Of Culinary World 110 Result Of Practise

After having such a lovely dinner together, finally, it's time for me to see the result of their music practice during my absence in the salt mission.

"Let's head to the music room, girls. I can't wait to see the result of your practice"

"Yes, Henry!"

We leave our room and heading to the music room together. I hold Carina's hand when we walk there. Carina's face still looks reddish because of that kiss. I hope this wouldn't affect her singing later.

After we arrive in the music room and enter, Clara and Claire start to tune the piano and violin which they will play while I sit in the nearby chair to watch their play.

"Henry…we're ready"

It seems my girls already finished their preparation to play the music.

"Alright, get ready…on my mark, you start at three…one…two…three"

When I'm finished to say 'three', the music starts to flow in that room.

'Heart beat fast….colors and promises'

Carina starts singing the first verse of the song. Her high pitch childish voice is really like a sound of the angel in my ears. I close my eyes and try to enjoy the music that my girls play.

The piano tone and violin sound that Clara and Claire played accompanied Carina's voice fill the music room. I'm not a musician or music expert to able to criticize their play, there's one-two mistake but that's a common and acceptable thing.

When they finish playing the song, I give them applause to show my appreciation for their play.

"Very good, girls…very good. I'm pleased with the result of your practice"

They look happy with my praise. But one song is not enough to entertain the guest for a long time, I must ask if they know others song, the song that originated from this world.

"Can you play other songs? I need you to play some songs during the banquet, not just this song"

"Yes, we can play some song that late madam teach us"

"Please show me, girls"

They start playing their musical instrument again. I listen to the song carefully to give the appraisal about this world music. They play 4-5 songs which almost have the same genre, it's like a ballad song with mostly telling about praise to heroes and famous figure in the past. Ugh! No wonder they say my song is wonderful if I can teach them to play the song from my previous world maybe I would also be known as a great composer later. But that's not my intention about how my life will be, I want to reach my success with something that I really mastered, COOKING!.

"Okay girls…That's enough. I want you to play those songs first during the banquet and my song as the latest song played"

"Yes, Henry"

Although I already told them to stop playing the music, Clara and Claire still hold their musical instrument. It seems they still have something to do.

"What's up girls? Looks like you have something to say"

"Umm….brother Henry, can we hear you singing again?"

Huh? They want me to sing again like when I sing it before?

"You want me to sing?"

"Yes! Yes! Please...Sing for us, brother Henry"

Carina is the most enthusiastic to hear me singing.

"You want to hear me singing too, Clara, Claire?"

"Yes Henry…please sings for us"

"I want to hear you sing again Henry…if you have another song, I would love to hear it"

Ugh, another song? What should I sing then? I'm a culinary student not musician although in my previous world I go to karaoke with my friends in my leisure time and also learn to play guitar just for fun. I'm thinking a song that I used to play in my previous world and good enough for them.

"Alright…I will play a song for you girls"

I pick the guitar and tuning the sound for a while first.

"Okay girls, I will sing for you…this song inspired when I'm in the salt camp when I was far away from you"

"Yaaay! What's the t.i.tle, brother?"

"This song t.i.tle is 'if you're not the one'…I shall start now"

Clara, Claire, and Carina put their musical instrument and sit in front of me and watch me playing guitar while singing. The song that I will sing is a popular and romantic song from Daniel Beddingfield

I start to pick the guitar string to play the song's intro before start singing

Clara, Claire, and Carina watch me playing guitar and singing almost without blinking their eyes. When the song reaches the verse 'If you're not for me then why do I dream of you as my wife?' tears start flowing from the corners of Clara and Claire's eyes.

The song is quite long and I almost run out of breath when I finish singing it. But my effort is paid well, loud claps from my girls are proof that they like my singing. I smile and stand up from my chair and lower my back like when an artist finishes doing their performance on stage.
