Jade kept an eye on the two without showing suspicion. she made phone calls and alerted the authorities. after making enquiries. the girl kept glancing her way as she ignored it.

Due to exhaustion, she had fallen as sleep.she wakes up and discover Kira and the man is nowhere to be found. and the boat was nearing the docking area.

She quickly went down towards parked vehicles but they nowhere to be found. Kira and her captor must have slipped while she dose off. she patiently waited on her car. she can hear the gears of the equipment getting ready for docking.

that's when she heard a movements coming from the vehicle at least two s.p.a.ces behind her. she took her gun in the hidden compartment. she don't want to use it but worst come to worst she must be prepared to used it. she also acquired the license to used it.

She silently walk towards the entrance and observed her surrounding trying to locate the two she put her phone on silent mode as not to alert the abductor should she get a call.

the door from the upper deck leading to the parking area suddenly closed. and she heard the boat made contact with the concrete of the wharf. she hid on one of the vehicle park there. it was a good thing that captain ordered the access door leading the parking area lock, it prevented the pa.s.sengers to pa.s.s here, and as the door of the parking area open to make contact to the concrete road of the wharf she saw two shadow cross in between the parked vehicles heading for the door.

she quickly retrieved her phone and scanned the contents when it vibrated in her pocket she thought for a while but stay hidden. When the door fully open and lay level to the road of the wharf. The shadows made way for the entrance only to be surprised by the blinding glare of the spotlights illuminating the parking area.

"Carvallo surrender!!! you are being surrounded." Quickly the man s.h.i.+elded himself with the body of the girl as he heard the voice blasted on the mega phone.

"No!!! you listen if you shoot I'll make sure she goes down with me.!!!"

"You've got nowhere to go!' the police told him.

" Then you make way or I'll scatter her brains here!!!" the girl's sobs became more audible now, as the man points his gun at the side of her temple.

"Carvallo, I'll give in to your demands just release my daughter!!!" the father of the girl begging.

"That's a little too late for that Mr Mendi, I had time and time again begged you to drop the case but you refused and used me as a fall guy for your crimes. " The man is crying himself. Jade cannot believed of the turn of events.

The man was employed in one of the accounting firm ,with Mr.Mendi, the father of the girl as his superior. when the CEO discovered the anomaly that involved a huge of money, investigations was conducted but Carvallo was solely charge with the crime.

"You used me!!!" the man said.

"Please don't shoot!!! the girl finally found her voice. " He is a good man, I volunteer to go with him, because he's the father of my best friend. please..... Daddy do something. "

"Men hold your fire!. we must make negotiations first." The chief commanded his subordinates. Jade saw another shadows from behind the two slowly and silently make way towards the men and the girl.

A shot was heard as the men seized Carvallo after the gun on his hand was dropped as he winced in pain. The girl turn and s.h.i.+elded the body of her abductor.

"Don't shoot!!! please don't shoot!!! "as she scream in between sobs.

The stand off lasted for thirty minutes. As she continue her journey , she contemplated on the events that had happened. How the abuse of money and power, s.h.i.+elded the truth and persecutes the innocent. She cannot help but pity Carvallo he is one of those less fortunate being used by more influencial people to cover their crimes.

This were also most of the cases her father handled pro bono. She cannot forget the expression of the face of Carvallo as she introduced herself and offer her services to his case, both disbelief and gratefulnes alternately showed in his face.

She was also impressed by the courage and compa.s.sion showed by Kira to her captor, sometimes the young people are more mature, honest and more understanding towards human nature than their older counterpart.

It was just a good thing that the incident didn't cause serious damage on people and properties.
