Shadow Princess 13 Bad News

After the disappearance of the young master's group, Nuwa finally let her guard down and sat on the ground. Over exhaustion was written all over her face.

She spat a mouthful of blood-containing saliva. All this time, she was nibbling and gulping down the blood that was forming from the cuts of her lips.

Despite the fact that she was hurt and barely had any strength left, she still stood up and started to pack up her things, including the tent and shoved everything in her dirty bag.

She glanced everywhere for a quick check if anyone she knew was around. But found the whole area was almost empty, only a handful of people were sitting beside the riverside to enjoy the mesmerizing sunset. Shop owners have already lit beautiful lanterns to attract customers. She could hear children and peoples joyous laughter was coming from her surroundings. It was a beautiful and peaceful evening. Noticing that n.o.body was around, she moved to a dark side of rock as she slightly untied her robe to examine her injuries. As expected, her body was covered by blue bruises. She felt extreme pain and feverish. But the most agonizing part was her right leg. Upon noticing her rob was already drenched in blood, she slightly upward it. To her surprise, she found blood was oozing from a wound in her shank.

Breathing heavily while gritting her teeth, she tied up her robe again and took out a small piece of cloth from her sack to bandage her wound. As soon as she was done, slowly, she sat on the gra.s.s while leaning her back against the dirty bag. Resting her arms on her bent knees, head hanging down, she silently started sobbing.

She didn't know why tears were leaking from her eyes. She could feel her heart was filled with anger and bitterness. But most of all, it was despair.

Her mind was filled with her dark memories... In the past, there were many times she had considered ending her life. Too bad, she was chicken-hearted, really never had the courage to hurt herself.

Even though she acted strongly in front of others as if she didn't need help and pity, deep inside she was craving for love, for a family. Every night, she cried and wished to have someone who'd love and take care of her. She knew she was deceiving herself to accept the harsh reality. But, it was her only way to survive each day.

After watching the series of events, Princess Liena, who was oblivious of Nuwa's current situation due to darkness, beamed with joy. She had a great urge to dance like a peac.o.c.k. She felt like winning a war. But then tried to imagine herself standing in Nuwa's ground, what she'd do if those people bullied her like Nuwa.

Soon her face turned black like a lump of coal. She discovered herself hopelessly useless and dependable...

Liena couldn't compare Nuwa with the useless her who lived a sheltered life. Her overprotective parents loved her too much that, never let anyone bully her.

However, she had never met any person like this strange girl who'd fight back. Nuwa was totally brave and awesome.

Liena really wanted to befriend with Nuwa. Clenching her fists tightly, she took a deep breath to encourage herself as she started to walk towards Nuwa's direction. She was feeling a little bit of nervousness, didn't know how to initiate a conversation to pursue Nuwa. It's been such a long time since she approached someone to talk.

Noticing Liena's sudden footsteps, Nuwa was startled. She immediately became alert. Discreetly, she picked up a rock from the ground without Liena's knowing and slowly moved her head to investigate who was coming.

There was a glint of surprise in Nuwa's eyes when she noticed a small figure, wearing a flashy luxurious violet-golden colored robe, was walking to her way alone. She couldn't see the face because it was covered by a silk veil.

Though the girl was alone, Nuwa was ascertained that this stranger must be young masters another lackey that he has sent. Why'd any rich person approach her except those hypocrites! Furthermore, it was almost dark!!!

However, she was already tired of all the fightings as her legs trembled with fatigue and her body ached terribly.

Noticing that their distances were becoming shorter, Nuwa became flabbergasted as she yelled,

"Stop right there. Don't come any closer or I don't know what I'll do."

Nuwa was sure that there was some trick on this girl's sleeves. It was bad news when rich people approached her.
