Chapter 25: Found!

Serene woke up and peeked out of the tent. She saw Dylan's back. He seemed to be following two other men.

"Is he being called by the Captain?"

She quickly fixed her hair and clothes. She tailed Dylan and followed them from a distance.

The crews are already doing their routines so there are a lot of people on the deck which is the reason why she became unnoticed.

They arrived in a certain room and entered. After a while, a crew came out of the room and returned to the deck. Serene watched the door from a corridor.

"Why did he there? That is not the Captain's room."

She walked along the hallway and stopped in front of the door. She was about to lean on the door and cling to it to hear what is happening inside. She turned her head and planted her ear flat on the door surface.

She saw a figure beside her. She was startled and unconsciously took a step back. She did not notice the figure get near of her. Not even the footsteps and breaths.

"Who?"

If Dylan is not inside the room or outside he would instantly know who it is.

The fifth man!

The figure disappeared and knocked serene out. He successfully took the girl without anyone noticing.

The man looked at the girl and removed her goggles. Using his fingers he opened the girl's eyelid and saw her Golden Eyes.

The figure carried the girl and disappeared from the hallway.

Dylan came out of the room and was notified of Serene's absence. He ran towards all the hallways he encountered hoping for a coincidence that usually happens to him.

Not only Dylan but also Allen was alarmed as soon as he found out that the girl is not with Dylan. He quickly turned around saw his subordinates.

Although he was unaware of the fifth man that Dylan is wary of, he thought of two scenarios. One, the girl is just roaming around but she is not the type to leave Dylan's side. Unless she has to use the lavatory but still she won't go unless Dylan is not there. Two, someone has in the s.h.i.+p has disguised as a crew to abduct her!

"Has anyone seen where the girl named Serene had gone to?"

Hearing his question, one of them immediately saluted and reported what he is aware of.

"I saw her tailing the Ensign who is following Ensign Tien."

If she was following Dylan, then she would have waited for Dylan on the way or met him after whatever business he did.

"Any suspicious ent.i.ty within the s.h.i.+p?"

"Sir, we know someone suspicious since the time of departure!" "There is someone who seemed to be a crew but we haven't notice him interact with someone."

"Sir, I also found the man strange. He worked independently and seem to be always stationed near the forecastle."

Captain Allen heard the reports and decided to believe that his 2nd hypothesis is right!

"Secure the perimeter! Someone seems to have been missing!"

He shouted with all his might to have his crews hear his command. All his subordinates immediately saluted and headed to the officers to relay the command!

Every crew in the s.h.i.+p immediately became active and patrolled around the deck and inside the s.h.i.+p.

TSK! "They found out."

The man who abducted Serene is hiding in a certain corridor and held the girl tightly. He did not act carelessly and if he stayed on his spot no one would notice him.

Serene begun to awaken and the man noticed it. She was about to scream but a hand intercepted her. Not only physically pressure, also mentally. The man exuded an aura which made her unable to move.

Her eyes contracted as he saw the man. She can recognize his aura!

"Yo-"

He is the same man who tried to abduct her back in the HQ but failed because of Captain Allen!

He quickly turned his head towards the direction where the aura came from. He stopped in his tracks and let out a surprised sound.

Dylan saw a figure and recognized the one being held.

Serene and the man heard it and saw Dylan at the other end of the corridor. They were also similarly surprised.

Each of had different thoughts.

How can I be this lucky?
