Kakas.h.i.+ and the rest of the group began worry for his safety when s.h.i.+sui spoke up while looking through the Chakra construct with his Sharingan. "I don't know where he's pulling this level of Chakra from, it looks like some strange core inside his body sending him a constant supply of Chakra, but I can't see what's on the other end."
"Yea, but it's putting a huge strain on his body, I don't think he's gonna last much longer." Kakas.h.i.+ followed up.
"You know Kakas.h.i.+ I'm always impressed on how well you handle the Sharingan, while not being an Uchiha and all." s.h.i.+sui said making Kakas.h.i.+ sway his hand, "No no! It's nothing compared to the legendary Flicker!"
"If you two are done flattering each other then you should know were here!" Kibo shouted as he could finally see his village in range. Billows of smoke were rising into the sky and the sounds of combat and screaming could be heard. The closer he got the village the less stable his Chakra Construct became, he dove closer to the ground and placed a chakra recovery pill and a healing pill in his mouth.
Scattering his dragon form directly above his village the rest of the Jonins were sent into a free fall, Kibo didn't waste time pulling out his twin blades, one was a regular sized katana while the other was a kodachi much more suitable for his size.
Coating them in Star Chakra he sprouted his wings and flew toward where the combat was heaviest. The rest of the Jonin separated dividing up their power to where the most damage was being done, and where the civilians where evacuating.
Kibo had began to slaughter the Chakra beast by the dozen, a strange looking unicorn elephant charged at him, Kibo extended the length of his Star Chakra around his blade to more than twice the size of the creature, he put away his kodachi and gripped his katana with both hands, and with a single chopping motion the large beast was severed down the middle.
"Quest activated save Hos.h.i.+gakure's citizens reward . . ." Before Navi could finish Kibo shouted "Not now Navi, turn off all notifications until after I get through this whole ordeal." This bit of time conversing with Navi allowed for Kibo to be struck by a ramming deer beast.
His body rolled over on the ground as he sent one of his wings to sever the creature's head, as he sprang back up ignoring his wounds, he heard some citizens in danger. A group of children and their parents were being surrounded by a pack large fanged wolves' quickly pulling out his kodachi he jumped back into battle. He cleaved the pack leader's head off and shouted at the remaining creatures while imbuing his lungs with chakra.
The wolves frightened by the killing intent rolling off the young warrior's body started to pull back slightly; suddenly a flickering silhouette disappeared and reappeared repeatedly, every time it happened a civilian was transported to the Hos.h.i.+kage's mansion along with the rest of the retreating citizens.
A smile of relief spread across Kibo's face as he continued to kill and help out his citizens. Little by little he saved those that he could, and shed a silent tear for those already lost. After the remaining citizens had gathered behind the Hos.h.i.+kage's mansion walls, over a hundred s.h.i.+n.o.bi guarded them from any approaching threat. Any of the chakra beasts that attempted to cross were slain on the spot.
Kibo and the rest of the Jonin were still fighting in the villages residential area, the group of s.h.i.+n.o.bi were covered in blood and some had even sustained wounds, although they were superficial at most.
"This is taking too long, time to try out my new Jutsu." Kibo used up a 1,000 Sys Pts and purchased a thousand super dense black steel shurikens, suddenly his chakra split into a thousand filaments no bigger than a hair; throwing the ma.s.s of shuriken into the air he attached his chakra to all the projectiles and began manipulating them to slaughter at a much higher rate.
"Blood Metal Storm!" Kibo said the name of his technique as it flew across the battlefield, blood and steel merged together forming a ma.s.sive killing vortex, every few seconds entire batches of chakra beast were being executed by the dozen. Kakas.h.i.+ waved his hand as the group formed a protective circle around Kibo. Kurenai and Guy took care of any beast by hitting them with Gen-Jutsu and letting Guy pulverize them into mush.
"Let me add a little fire to your storm." s.h.i.+sui said as he used performed a series of hand seals, "Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!" s.h.i.+sui shot out countless fire b.a.l.l.s that surrounded Kibo's shuriken and followed their path of destruction.
"Wind Release: Rotating Shuriken." Asuma also helped out using his technique to increase the intensity of s.h.i.+sui's fire.
"Earth Release: Still Mars.h.!.+" Kakas.h.i.+ slammed his hands into the ground causing the entire civilian's district to become one giant fly trap for the chakra beasts; they kept this battle up for almost three hours straight. Kibo was beginning to tire when the ground suddenly shook.
A large fowl-like bird appeared inside the village almost as if it materialized, its body was around 15 feet high and it looked like it weighed around 8 tons, its razor sharp beak opened revealing a set of jagged teeth as a cold ghostly fire that leaked onto the ground, as it made contact with the dirt it began dissolving the area it touched like magic, no sound or reaction could be seen from the soil, it simply vanished. Its bright red c.o.c.ks...o...b..was almost transparent like it lacked any real substance; it swayed in the wind like it was made out of the same fire it was breathing. Two powerful looking hind legs were supported by its curved and deadly talons.
"Basan!" Kakas.h.i.+ shouted.
"What's a B rank chakra beast doing here?" Kibo spoke to Seiryu "I thought you said higher level beast that had already developed a consciousness wouldn't be interested in my flesh."
"True, however the hundreds of D ranked beasts you've killed has enticed its appet.i.te. Monsters need a large supply of protein, and the very fact that the meats of these monsters are filled with chakra."
Kibo looked to his party and then to Kakas.h.i.+, "This could be bad!" Kakas.h.i.+ sighed, most of the group was tapped out on chakra, and their stamina was. .h.i.tting the bottom of the barrel, "Any idea's Seiryu?" Kibo asked
"One; but you're not gonna like it." Seiryu replied.
"What is it?" Kibo thought about using his pill to give to Kakas.h.i.+ and the rest, but if there was another way he'd rather take that path; after all each of these pills came from the G.o.d starter pack. If he were to cla.s.sify them in this world they would be a miracle drug, which completely restores chakra and one's health to peak condition. He could purchase more from the shop but each pill cost 10,000 points, to costly for him to dwindle away such life saving treasures.
"Allow me to take over for a moment." Kibo's eyes widened when he remembered the Bijuu possession ability, similar to how Gaara unleashed the Shukaku and Naruto reaching the 8 tailed form in the comic, Kibo could do the same. "Navi is this possible?" He had to admit he was interested in seeing what a fused beast, rather than a sealed one was capable of.
"Yes as long as Seiryu has the Host's permission. Unlike Naruto who has the seal, you can directly allow Seiryu to take over, but it will put a great burden on the Host's mind." Navi replied.
Just as he was about to say yes Seiryu stopped him, "You should think this through, although you could use those pills to recover from the chakra drain and bodily damage; you mental strain is a whole other story. You haven't eaten today, and you've been pus.h.i.+ng yourself to the limits since yesterday. If I take over even if it's just for a little bit; well let's just say worst case scenario your mind fractures and you live the rest of your life with the mind of an addled infant, best case scenario you end up in a comma."
Kibo looked to his people and smiled, "Kakas.h.i.+, Kurenai, s.h.i.+sui, Asuma, Guy, you might want to get back." Before they could ask the felt a frightening chakra leak out from his body, Kibo placed the chakra and healing pills under his tongue as the Jonin jumped back. An azure star covered chakra cloak covered Kibo's physique and his body quickly started to grow in size.
Almost instantly Seiryu appeared blotting out the evening skies, with a quick snap of his teeth he bit the creatures head off and crunched on it like it was a delicacy. It turned to the rest of the people gathered in Hos.h.i.+gakure. Everyone including Kakas.h.i.+ and the rest of the Konoha Nin were stunned, when suddenly the giant dragon spoke "Since you are Kibo's relatives and some of my Chakra flows through your veins I shall gift you a technique to hide your scent from chakra beast."
Unbeknownst to the village folk that were exposed to the miasma, they hadn't realized that what they were absorbing, was what Seiryu considered to be the toxic waste left over from his carca.s.s. If it weren't for Kibo's appearance this poison would have eventually claimed even more lives, so Seiryu felt a little guilty. He saw gifting them this technique as a form of penance.
Every citizen of Hos.h.i.+gakure felt a flood of information surge from the Miasma in their bones that had been absorbed over the years. Afterwards Seiryu lifted his head and roared into the sky, the ground quaked for miles as every living thing besides the villagers and the Leaf Jonin scattered for the hills in fear, even the insects and worms ran as well.
The mighty dragon then turned to Kakas.h.i.+ and the rest who couldn't believe what they were seeing, "Take care of Kibo, he could be unconscious for as long as a few weeks, but no longer than a couple of months." With a quick flick of the dragons tongue he swallowed the pills. As Seiryu shrunk down, his body started to dissipate like gla.s.s shattering into dust; when Seiryu's body broke apart completely, he returned to the Star Chamber inside Kibo's body, and even took the Basan's corpse with him.
While Kibo's body plummeted towards the earth, s.h.i.+sui flickered in, and grabbed a hold of Kibo taking him safely to the ground, Kakas.h.i.+ and the rest gathered around him in amazement.
"Was that a Bijuu?" Guy asked
"No I don't know what that was, I never heard of a Dragon shaped Bijuu before, in fact I know for certain there's no such Dragon among the Bijuu." s.h.i.+sui said
"Aren't dragons supposed to be myths?!" Kurenai said in bewilderment.
"I believe the child needs rest and we have a mission to complete. We can ask him questions when he wakes up, until then we have citizens to escort." Kakas.h.i.+ subverted their attention away from Kibo when his statement made the rest of the group blush out of shame. No matter what being inhabited Kibo's body the fact remained he was a 4 year old child who just saved their lives, and here they were looking at him like some freakish monster. They felt ashamed at their narrow mindedness and apologetic towards Kibo.
"Kakas.h.i.+'s right we can't let any more people here suffer, we will begin evacuating the citizens at once." s.h.i.+sui snapped back into mission mode as he headed to the Hos.h.i.+kage's mansion.
"But still were going to have to report this to the Hokage." Kakas.h.i.+ added
"Aw man what if Danzo finds out? That crazed man already has a bunch of person spies inside the Hokage's mansion working for him; he's probably already p.i.s.sed off at the kid for interrupting his plans concerning the Uchiha. If he finds out about this kid, there's no telling what he'll do to get at him." Asuma said while pinching the bridge his nose in frustration.
Being the son of the Hokage had its perks, thanks to his position he knew a lot more about the inner working of the council, and his father's problems concerning Danzo, Asuma sighed and said "its times like these that really make me want to take up smoking."
"Well I think the best we can do is offer our support and I doubt the Hokage would simply allow Danzo to do as he pleases with the boy, he should be able to protect the kid until he grows up." Guy added.
"That's a foolish way to think Guy." Kakas.h.i.+ said, "Danzo operates in the shadows, he isn't just the elder of Anbu, he is Anbu. If it weren't for the 3rd sneaking me in, I wouldn't have ever believe the kind of messed up things that b.a.s.t.a.r.d was capable of."
"Can't we do something to help him?" Kurenai said with a sad tone in her voice "Danzo has a lot of pull with the council, we would need conclusive evidence of him breaking village law, and that's just too unlikely to happen. Danzo knows how to keep his secrets, and cleans up after his messes so well that he never leaves a trace of his presence. Believe me the Hokage has been looking for dirt on Danzo for decades, and we still don't have anything concrete." Asuma added.
As the group walked forward they noticed that the strongest monster's carca.s.ses had disappeared from the battle field, they figured the chakra beast had been blown away by Seiryu or eaten by other monsters; but the truth was Navi had secretly stored them inside its storage s.p.a.ce.
After arriving at the Hos.h.i.+kage's mansion they saw Kibo's Grandfather Jun Hos.h.i.+ in a weakened state, his mother and father were unconscious and wounded. The beast had attacked a little over 9 hours after Kibo left for Konoha. He had kept the monsters' at bay near the out skirts of the village for 18 hours until he pa.s.sed out from Chakra exhaustion; in fact if it weren't for Seiryu rousing his consciousness by giving them a technique through his remnant Chakra, he would still be unconscious. His mother and father had also partic.i.p.ated in the monster siege, and had fought until just mere hours before Kibo's return.
His grandfather saw Kibo's condition and stumbled towards him, "Please Hos.h.i.+kage, you're still weak you need your rest." One of the medics was holding on to the Hos.h.i.+kage's arm said with great worry in her voice.
"My grandson?" Jun Hos.h.i.+ asked looking at Kibo in s.h.i.+sui's arms.
"He's alright, his Chakra levels, and his body's health are in perfect shape; however he's mentally exhausted and needs rest." Kakas.h.i.+ stated Kibo's condition.
"Konoha's White Fang!?" Jun looked at him again, before saying "No you're his son aren't you? Kakas.h.i.+ the copy Ninja I believe?"
Kakas.h.i.+ put his hands together and bowed, "It is an honor to see you again Hos.h.i.+kage, and I hope you've been well since your last visit to Konoha's gates."
Jun sighed and looked around, then he turned to the nurse that was supporting him, the woman was very beautiful and carried the Hos.h.i.+ Clan's features, she has soft supple lightly tanned skin, her jade-green colored eyes and her long violet grey hair gleamed in the evening light. She wore the Hos.h.i.+gakure flak jacket and shorts and carried herself with all the strength of a peak level Jonin. "Natsuhi how many have we lost." Natsuhi looked down and bit her lip, "We have 107 injured, and we've lost 38 civilians and 12 Nin; 4 of which were high ranking Jonin." Hos.h.i.+kage felt weak, when a kid and his father ran up to help.
"Hotarubi, Sumaru, thank you." Sumaru has reddish brown eyes, and short smooth black hair that partly curled around his head. Parts of his blue Hos.h.i.+gakure forehead protector were covering the back of the band from sight. The Hos.h.i.+kage than looked to Sumaru's father Hotarubi; He had a short crop of s.h.a.ggy black hair and big brown eyes just like his son. He wore a light purple colored Hos.h.i.+gakure forehead protector with part of his hair hanging down to the end of the left side. His matching colored Hos.h.i.+gakure flak jacket showed that he too was a Jonin of high status, Jun turned back to towards the boy's mother "Natsuhi I'm placing you and your husband in charge of the clan until I recover."
The two of them saluted and said "Yes Hos.h.i.+kage Sama." With that said Jun turned to Kakas.h.i.+, "I'm putting my people's lives in your hands, Jonin from Konoha." Kakas.h.i.+ and the rest saluted to the Hos.h.i.+kage before s.h.i.+sui said, "I won't let a thing happen to your people, so rest easy Hos.h.i.+kage. With s.h.i.+sui of the body flicker on the job, I won't allow any mistakes." The Hos.h.i.+kage smiled and waved his hand, six Jonin appeared beside him.
"Please accompany me to the court yard." The Hos.h.i.+kage was carried through the overcrowded halls and outside to where most of the civilians were gathered. The injured could be seen receiving treatment, and the sounds of mourning tears coming from the innocent families who had lost their loved ones could be heard.
"This reminds me of the Kyuubi attack." Guy said in a sad tone, when the Hos.h.i.+kage shouted to his Ninjas "Begin!" Four of the Jonin had begun weaving their Star Chakra together into a ma.s.sive construct; it looked like a sea fairing s.h.i.+p, with eight ma.s.sive wings attached to them. The 4 Jonin sat at the center of the s.h.i.+p and sat down in a circle. The remaining Jonin sat diagonally from the 4 and place their hands onto their shoulders, they then began steadily feed the Jonins Star Chakra absorbed from the sun and stars.
"Hahaha! Did you think I would just sit back and let my Grandson do all the work; we've been preparing to help speed up the moving process ever since he left. This s.h.i.+p can carry about a hundred pa.s.sengers at a time, we had planned to make two at a time but we've lost the lives of the remaining Jonin."
Jun looked back at the mansion and sighed, "If my daughter and son-in-law were awake we could have made another with Hotarubi, and Natsuhi's help.
"No this is fine. We will take 50 by foot and 100 by air. When we return, we'll be able to bring everyone back." Kakas.h.i.+ planned holding the bottom of his chin with a clasped fist.
"Then it will be done as you say. Please bring my grandson to his parent's room." Jun said as he looked at s.h.i.+sui who was still carrying Kibo on his back.
"Yes Hos.h.i.+kage Sama!" s.h.i.+sui followed Jun back into the mansion while the rest of the Jonins got back to work. They gathered the wounded and helped them board the s.h.i.+p; next they buried the dead and placed up large rocks as temporary head stones. The group offered a prayer before setting off.
"Man I still don't know what to write for this mission report." Asuma said scratching his head wildly, Kurenai placed her hand on his shoulder and said "Relax, I'll help you out." Asuma blushed before acting like a fool while thanking her. Kakas.h.i.+, s.h.i.+sui, and Guy looked at them with a hint of jealously.
"Ahh must be good to be the Hokage's son." Kakas.h.i.+ murmured under his breath.
"Such is the power of youth!" Guy added.
"Ugh, maybe we should tell them to get a room!" s.h.i.+sui teased.
The first group of civilians made it to Konoha without a single incident, thanks to Seiryu's blessing, the Chakra beast could no longer sense their Nature Physique as the technique masked it in a strange shroud of star energy.
Kibo was safely resting in his mother's arms while his father had already woken up and began to help the Hos.h.i.+kage with his duties. Although his was unconscious his soul had appeared inside his Star Chamber along with Seiryu, he was sitting in the lotus position and seemed to be asleep. However Seiryu knew better, he could see a major change occurring inside Kibo's body. He felt the life force of the boy's body rapidly increasing; suddenly Kibo's bones, muscles and organs began to grow stronger bit by bit."
"Ah! He's opened his first gate; The Gate of Life! Hmm! What a good choice for his first gate; with this his body will have a better foundation, and be able to handle the strain of my Chakra better, plus the rapid healing is a pretty good bonus." He looked over his progress with surprised, normally it would take years to open a single true gate but judging from Kibo's progress he felt like he would fully open it in four or five months.
"Well I guess you'll be sleeping a little longer than expected!" The dragon looked at Kibo with great antic.i.p.ation and said jokingly "Are you sure you're not the monster?" Seiryu wrapped his tail around him in a caring manner as watched over Kibo, he even got to enjoy the rest of the Basan's meat he'd s.n.a.t.c.hed up.
