"How are you Senja?" Ye Xiu then walked toward her and looked at the little girl from six years ago.
The girl who was so timid and afraid of her surroundings.
The little girl who he had left alone.
"Uncle Ye Xiu…" Senja called out his name softly as she averted her eyes from him.
"How are you?" Ye Xiu asked the same question again. He knew the girl was in shock to see him, apparently she didn't know that he was people from Greenhill Mountain.
"Still alive." Senja answered curtly, actually she didn't want to give him that cold reply, but she couldn't help but remembered the feeling of being abandoned by him.
That was one of the worst feeling that she had felt.
Ye Xiu was the first father figure for her, but in the end he left her also. Senja still remembered the beating that she received from w.a.n.g Yu when Ye Xiu left her after she begged him to stay, to bring her with him.
"I can see that." Ye Xiu smiled softly, as if the event from six years ago had never happened and Senja didn't reply to him with that sharp tone.
Senja didn't want to have another conversation with Ye Xiu as her mind was elsewhere. She didn't want to be here and be reminded about what he had done to her.
She wanted to meet Gong Xu.
Thus, she ran with her short legs as fast as she could toward the Library.
Once she arrived, she slammed the door closed. "DON'T LET ANYONE STEP INSIDE!" This was the first time Senja yelled toward her guards.
After that, she went inside the hidden room to look for Gong Xu.
Gong Xu was reading a strategic book atop of the pile of blanket that served as a bed when Senja pounced on him and pit him down while sobbing.
"What happen?!" Gong Xu was surprised because of Senja's reaction, but more shock because Senja was wailing and crying atop of him. "Senja, tell me what happen?"
However Senja didn't answer that and kept crying.
Gong Xu didn't have much choice except caressed her back and let her wetted his front robe. "Something happen with the antidote?" Gong Xu tried to guess the reason behind her cry. "Xiao Tianyao find out about this place?"
But after many attempt and all of that was wrong, Gong Xu stopped and let Senja to be calm enough to tell him what the real reason of her cry.
It took half an hour before Senja was really calm and raised her head, her swollen eyes, which stared back at Gong Xu's, filled with sorrow as her long eyelashes wet with tears.
Only then a single name escape her quivering lips. "Uncle Ye Xiu…" She said.
"Ye Xiu?" Gong Xu frowned, he knew about Uncle Ye Xiu and Senja's story, it happened around six years ago and in the end that wasn't one of Senja's pleasant memories.
Aside from that, Gong Xu also knew Ye Xiu as the former master from Mountain Sui Sword Sect and also Xiao Jun's master. He was the leader behind the last revolt of the Mountain Sui Sword Sect before that sacred place was ruined by Xiao w.a.n.g Wei.
"He is here?" Gong Xu asked her softly.
Senja sobbed and nodded her head.
"So, why are you crying?" Gong Xu wasn't sensible enough to understand it.
"Because I don't want to see him!" Senja yelled agitatedly, she glared at Gong Xu.
"All right." Gong Xu raised his hand as he helped Senja to sit down, he wiped her tears from her cheeks that felt so soft to his touch. "If you don't want to see him than, you don't need to see him."
Senja was angry, sad, disappointed and many emotion that she felt that she could explain it, hence out of frustration she buried her face on the crook of Gong Xu's shoulder as she cried again.
It was very rare to see Senja was crying like this, so Gong Xu was a bit at lost about what he should do now.
"What he is doing here?" Gong Xu asked softly while hugging Senja's body. She had grown up now, no longer that skinny little girl.
"He sent the raw material for the antidote from the Mountain Sui Sword Sect." Senja mumbled.
"Senja." Gong Xu patted her head. "You know that I can't hear you if you talk like that."
Sullenly she raised her head and repeated her words. "He sent the raw material for the antidote from the Mountain Sui Sword Sect. He greeted me with 'how are you?'"
"If he comes to send the raw material only, he must have left now." Gong Xu said.
However, at the time he was saying that, there was a crack sound from the secret door as it swung opened.
"Senja?"
And then Ye Xiu's voice startled Senja. She looked up toward the man who was standing right at the doorway.
"Who are you?" Ye Xiu was squinted his eyes toward Gong Xu. "You are…" He seemed to recall something as he suddenly drew his sword. "SENJA, COME HERE!"
Out of reflex, Gong Xu also grabbed his sword and hid Senja behind his back.
"Master Ye Xiu, long time no see." Gong Xu greeted him. They knew each other, but had never really met and conversed with one another.
"SENJA, COME HERE!" Ye Xiu was alert as he saw Senja scurried away behind Gong Xu's back. "You know who is him?"
"I know!" Senja shouted. "He is not like you think he is."
"You don't know anything about her Senja…" Ye Xiu was ready to launch an attack toward Gong Xu.
"I know everything about him, he has been living here for two years!" Senja shouted behind Gong Xu's back. "He is fighting Modama also!"
"No, he fools you. He is here as a spy!" Ye Xiu didn't believe it.
"If he is a spy he will not create the antidote for those people!" Senja was angry now because Ye Xiu had accused Gong Xu.
Why everyone misunderstood him?!
"The antidote?" Ye Xiu looked at Gong Xu, befuddled.
"It is not me who had created the antidote! It is him!" Senja poked her head out from Gong Xu's back.
Ye Xiu kept the sword up, but less hostile than before. "Why are you helping us, didn't this your father and the Emperor's doing?"
"I cross the bridge." Gong Xu took the first initiative to lower his sword and put it back to its scabbard.
"And your reason is?" Ye Xiu still didn't believe him yet, but there was no harm to listen to his story first.
"My father is one of the reasons my sister died." Gong Xu said simply.
"Luna?" Ye Xiu scoffed on her name as he remembered the woman who had deceived Xiao Tianyao. "Your reason only because your sister died?" Ye Xiu belittled him.
"I will gladly poison the entire nation right now if that could bring my sister alive." Gong Xu's voice was cold and rigid, but he meant his every single words. "Don't say her name with that tone." That was a warning.
