Hakuro The Cursed Chapter 4: New Bullshit

"pfft. You actually broke the law and used your rank just to get such a useless cheap sword?" the girl was litterly laughing at me as I kept staring blankly at my broken sword

"as I said before. you misunderstood. The b.a.s.t.a.r.d tried to steal my money so I played a prank on him. But still this... Well whatever just come at me"

"pfft. what can you do ?With a sword that small?" moqued the girl.

d.a.m.n I feel my manhood was questioned there. Wait why am I hearing pa.s.sersbys laughing at me.

wow... the people who gathered around to watch the show are laughing at me.

I guess I better stop fooling around then if I don't want to be a laughing stock... or maybe its too late

"what? Getting cold feet? Even without this sword I can beat you just fine!" I taunted

In a matter of fact what I said wasn't actually wrong. Earlier when we clashed sword I barely felt pressure from her attack. If it wasn't for my sword breaking mid way our situation would be reversed right now and I would've been the one laughing. (I will remember this you s.h.i.+tty Smith)

"huh! How arrogant! Let me teach you who your messing with"

"who are you? Oh right you are n.o.ble! Who's your daddy?" I retorted instantly.

Apparently she didn't like that last remark and started das.h.i.+ng toward as fast as usual, as she swong her stone sword towards my head.

"eat this!"

However just as her sword was about to hit me, I ducked. I simply ducked down then held her hand as I used her momentum to throw her on the ground. It looked like something you'd see from a karate master (the only belt of karate I got back on earth was the white one though).

Wait are those cracks I see on the ground? Oh s.h.i.+t. I might have went too far.

"groans*"

c.r.a.p I might have gone too far after all.

"young mistress!"

"you insolant fool! you shall pay for harming the mistress."

Two fellas donned in full body armor came out of nowhere and started chasing after me.

Yep totally expected that coming.

That's why even before they started yelling at me I was already on the run.

I said half jokingly as I was running away.

My name is luna vuld bladestorm.(author note: vuld is the n.o.bility rank)

My father is a very renown figure as he is a very strong sword master and is the commander of a chivalric order . My mother is neither less famous or powerful than father, her name was spread across the land as she was a very mighty archmage. I who received their their training since I started walking would know just how powerful their are.

And even they have praised me as a genius with both magic and the sword. They said that I was a once in a 100 year genius and that no one my age can ever hope to beat me. not even them from my age.

I was happy and kept training day and night researching magic with mom at the evening while learning the way of the sword from father at the morning. I worked a lot and got praised a lot.

Yet some random kid that I thought was spoiled and corrupt. A kid of unknown origin that looked even younger than me just came and defeated me in a single hit.

A single hit from him and I lost consciousness. 'Whats life even worth anymore? I might as well just kill myself.' I jokingly thought to myself

"did you find him?"

"no"

"then keep searching!"

OH right. Now right. before I lost consciousness I remember that Alina and koe(the two guards) tried to chase after the kid. They were always overprotective when it came to me.

I can imagine them making some bulls.h.i.+t like him using underhanded means to hurt me. What makes them troublesome is that they are doing this for me.…

Well better stop them before it's too late.

"ahh the young mistress awoke." cried some maid from beside me.

Ahh you'd have to scream just near my ear. Sigh. This is due to my habit of keeping my eyes closed for a bit after waking up,I do it to surprise those who try to steal my sleep away.

"Luna are you alright? I have already used [healing magic] on you but do tell me if you are hurt somewhere" that was my mother who was worried about me.

"ah mother! I am hurt" I cried like some sort of bard.

"where? This time I will use the highest grade spell [angels light] if necessary."

"no mother." I said as I shock my head "I seriously thought that I was strong. I mean. You know what my divine blessing is, right. Yet, That kid looked even younger than me."

"but dear. He might have drank a berserk potion or have used some other underhanded tricks" mom tried to make excuses for me.

"I'm not sure if he did but nevertheless i don't care. One day I will fight him again and at that time I will see then if he cheated or not."

I don't car.. OK If he cheated then I will kill the basterd. If not then I will also beat the c.r.a.p out of him. It's not that I'm holding a grudge because that was my first loss or anything...

" oh by the way mom. Why are the guards still chasing after him?"

"oh. It was by the orders of your father dear. You know how he becomes when something is related you." mom explained while wearing a stiff smile

I am father only child. So he dotes on me a tidy bit too much.to the point where he is super over protective (well he thought me the sword to protect myself).

There was a time when I was kidnapped by some foreign country spy when i was like 2 years old. I heard that dad(mom too) went on a rampage to bring me back.

The scale of the damage they did was horrifying.

It could be possible that he mistook the kid as some kind of a.s.sasin...

s.h.i.+t! Knowing my two guards who witnessed the fight. That might be in fact the case.

"eh? Where are you going?"

Mom was surprised when I hurriedly got up from my bad and went searching for my father.

(back to hakuro p.o.v)

"Gasp! Gasp! (hard breathing) i—I can finally catch my breath"

Ahh b.l.o.o.d.y h.e.l.l what's wrong with these people?

Just because some random girl challenged me and lost I became some sort of a wanted criminal.

The problem is that the one who posted the bounty to get me is the feudal lord of this region.

The thing about n.o.bles is that inside their domain they enjoy as much rights as kings.

It is even more so for feudal lords.

I who got a bounty on my back from such a big shot am chased around all over the town.

It would've been alright if it was only the guards that were chasing after me but surprisingly every one is chasing after me.

The guards, the commoners, the adventurers b.l.o.o.d.y h.e.l.l even a young girl who was selling flowers at the side of the road threw a rock at me and said something like "how dare you hurt luna you basterd!"

Heck who the fk is luna? Ahh. Yep it's her.. 100%. The girl who ate c.r.a.p after challenging me. Sigh. Why did.. She even said the stereo type phrase 'do you know who I am'. Of course she was one of those hypocrite n.o.bles from novels that can screw you and get away with it yet you become a criminal just for looking at them in the eyes.

Well I'd better forget that and focus on how will I get out of this city.

I need to get out of this dude's area of territory if I want them guards to leave me alone.

But it's easier said than done.

From all sides there is a great wall protecting this city. Well not that I can complain as monster would attack human habitats almost daily.

The gates were left open but the security is as tight as it could get. Anyone who would want get in or out would have to pa.s.s through a checkpoint where he needs to show his paper to the guards.

And well... I have no identification cards on me, yet! but I heard one could get them from a guild. not just the adventurers guild. There are also the artisans guild, the mage guild and so and so.

That's why more than ever I need to register at the adventurers guild, however that too is a problem.

I was sighted wearing a helmet so, if I tried to get in there while hiding my face I would be cought and interrogated. And if I were to go there without wearing my mask I would also be caught not for my crime but for my figure (the super pale skin thingy). Hmmm I got a bright idea.

I removed my mask and gloves. Changed my clothes then covered my face in mud. Which after I removed it gave me a brownish dirty teint I did the same with my hands up till elbow.

Now I had the perfect cover.

After making a perfect plan I went into action by first leaving my hiding place.

I was a bit nervous thinking that people would try to catch me even after I changed into this new disguise however I was fortunate that even the guards that pa.s.sed nearby me didn't recognize me.

Having made a sigh of relief I made my way to the adventurer guild. (I had to ask many strangers for the path since I didn't know where i was at that time).

So this is the adventurer guild huh...

Well I just entered the establishment and oh boy. I started wandering if I came to the wrong place and this was a 3rd-rate bar instead.

But my doubts disappeared when I saw a notice board on which was pinned many pages of what seemed like the quests I wanted to see for soo long.

As I made my way to the waitress at the other end of this building. I gathered the attention of most of the adventures in the establishment.

Oh c.r.a.p. this is the stereo typical situation where when I will try to sign in and some trash will come and be like 'go home to your mommy kiddo'.

Well I should just keep to my act and burn all trash when they come in my way.

"hey there little fella, how can this big sis here help you." one of the receptionist welcomed me with a cheerful smile.

"I wish to become an adventurer" I said bluntly.

"pfft."

"hahaha"

I could hear the adventurers laughing loudly behind me and I could see the face of the receptionist twist. Her facial expression is saying `oh not this s.h.i.+t again'

"you might be thinking that I am too young or perhaps I will most likely die if I became an adventurer but please if I don't become an adventurer soon I might as well die"

"but." the receptionist tried to say something but I cut her off.

"you see my father he... Is useless and mother might as well be dead as far as i know .i dont care if you only give me easy tasks that would barely earn me my keep but still .thats better than dying on the streets out of hunger and even that is better to me than to become someones slave. "

I said as I stared at her with quite the determination. Im barely holding my laughter though. Wait but I didn't lie though. My father was useless as he casted me away like the coward he was. About mother, welp i know s.h.i.+t bout her.

The establishment went silent as everyone was focusing on this event in front of them.

Sigh I guess this happens when there is no TV in the world.

"but this.. ahh" the receptionist made a >w< face="" as="" she="" didn't="" know="" what="" to="" do.="">

It was then that some hoodlum looking adventurer came my way.

Oh boy. Here we go.

"oy brat. Do you think that becoming an adventurer you'd get a life full of roses or something" asked the adventurer in a menacing tone

"maybe not. But surely dying out of hunger or being pushed around every day as a slave is the life full of roses you are talking about ? what are you waiting for then ? go sell yourself for cheap to some random n.o.ble"

"a—" He was going to say something but I cut him shortly too

"excuse me but do tell me. Have you ever been hungry. No seriously everyone. Who was been hungry before?"

I asked as I swapped my vision to everyone who was staring at me but n.o.body answered. I mean what is someone supposed to say when you ask him such an obvious question in a serious atmosphere.

" if you ask a normal person who has a job ' what is hunger ?' he would tell you ' its the time when you go eat something' however that isnt truly hunger . true hunger is when you dont eat anything for weeks .it would grow day by day slowly but surely till you become the husk of what you are , you would resort to theft begging and forget any moral boundries ,you'd even eat s.h.i.+t at some point .i hate that and i dont want to experience it but even more i dont want to beg anymore and h.e.l.l i dont want to become a slave .id rather die than live a life where i cant even make choices "

I gave the adventurer who tried to stop me a stare of bloodl.u.s.t. As if I was going to kill him and eat him alive. And I swear I saw him take a step back.

A smirk involuntary appeared on my face

"please. give me a chance " I said as I solemnly looked at the receptionist.

Clap clap clap

"nice try kid. I gotta admit you almost got me there " a mysterious voice came from behind me and the next thing i was surrounded by guards.

"sigh. So in the end poor people have no rights to chose, Huh" I murmured in a way so that everyone could hear me."don't bother yourself ill see myself out"

"hahaha. Kid I said that your cover was blown so stop that act and also you are going with us. Did you really think you can escape after harming miss Luna?"

s.h.i.+t. How the fk. No! I almost screwed up and tried to search around my possessions to look how he knew. Well you know how it is. It ain't true untill you get the evidence.

" OK I'd understand it if you were just going to kick me out of here. But accusing someone of a crime he didn't do is just plain ridiculous."

I could see his face twist slightly. Hope my bluff works or else I'm into s.h.i.+t.

"little dirty brat. If you think a little bit of mud will make you hide from my eyes than oh boy you're wrong. I saw you when you were there at the orphanage and I saw you again when you a.s.saulted miss Luna wearing that fox mask and I must say I barely recognized you as you hid all of your skin but that made me even more sure I also visited the orphanage you used to live in. They are looking for you. And to think that now after I returned to my guild I'd find you making quite the impressive speech count me amazed"

OK screw me. Like literally fk this bulls.h.i.+t. To think that the old foggy who would come to the orphanage from time to time would be this town guild master...

Actually it makes sense..

"well do you know me? Then tell me please! Who am I?"

"you are hakuro from the orphanage"

"pffttttt hahaha."

"whats funny"

"You are quite heartless. you know that mister? So you know of hakuro the cursed child, huh! Do you know how bad was it down there for me? Do you know how many times I almost got poisoned to death? Now now, I even got poison resistance there thanks to our dear and thoughtful nuns. Well after that they stopped even giving me the slightest food. Why do you think I'm here making the speech of this year? Hey if you are going to return me there. Might as well kill me here than let some crazy hag who thinks I'm the reason her husband left her kill me in my sleep . "

"..." the guild master didn't find what to say. He looks like he started regretting his actions.

" sigh. Just get this over with"

I said as I made my way outside. Well now they would hesitate before they would stop me. I planned to use this indecisiveness of theirs to run away once I reach the door.

But my plans fell short when I saw all the guards outside.

"oh boy should I be thankful for gathering all these people here?" I said as I looked at the still regretful old fogey.
