"Oh, you're back. Where's Zebro?"
"He's in the other room calling the butler's house. He should be back in a minute." Now it's time for me to become his friend or at least acquaintance. I'm honestly fine with either since we only just met.
"Okay. Now that we're here, let's play a game. All of this waiting made me bored." I'm honestly surprised that he's only here to have fun. I thought he would be colder right now since he is still an a.s.sa.s.sin.
"Sure, what game did you have in mind? If you want to play a card game, I believe that there's a deck of cards around here somewhere. If not, then I am open to suggestions."
"Well, I suppose I don't mind playing a card game for now but we should do something else later." As he said that, I got up and found the deck of cards. I shuffled them a few times before asking him what card game he wanted to play.
"Honestly, I don't really care that much. If you have any preferences, then we will play whatever you want." After that, I dealt him some cards, and we started to play War. We only played a simple variation of the game, the one who draws the higher card wins the round and added the cards won to their deck. If we tied, then the winner of the next round got the cards from both rounds.
After a few minutes, Zebro came back into the room and joined us for a few games before leaving to make some coffee. I a.s.sume that it was because his s.h.i.+ft would start soon, but he also just likes coffee and tea so he could just want some right now.
We probably played War for half an hour before Killua started to get tired of losing. I was really lucky for the last few games, so I could tell he wanted to switch games. I offered to let him deal the cards and choose his deck first but he declined, claiming that the game was boring. After that, we switched to a compet.i.tion between the two of us.
The compet.i.tion was to throw the playing cards at a foam target I found. While Killua was undoubtedly stronger than me physically, my technique when it came to throwing the cards allowed me to win again. Eventually, Killua started to pick up on the technique for throwing the cards at the center of the target and we tied.
I wasn't really surprised by how fast he learned to throw the cards accurately. I know that he and Gon are considered once in a millennium geniuses, so I expected him to pick up on something so simple.
We probably spent the next few hours constantly switching games and challenges, before Killua had decided that it was probably time that he went home. The sun was starting to set, so I think he is right.
"Hey Killua," I started as he began to walk towards the testing gate, "Make sure to come by again. I really enjoyed today. Let's be friends from now on, okay?" I hope he accepts my not so subtle offer of friends.h.i.+p.
"Sure," He responded "I really enjoyed today too. It was much better than playing with the butlers. I will definitely come to visit again soon."

I enjoyed my time with Killua, and I think he did too. I hope that he will start to consider me a real friend, or something similar soon. I really want to learn some of the a.s.sa.s.sin techniques from him or his family later if I get the chance, and if we become close friends then I might just get a chance to learn them.
Now that Killua is gone, I think it's time to train again. I hope to increase the weight on my vest again before the end of the month. I have a lot of work ahead of me, and I am going at a far slower pace then I thought I would be.

(Killua's P.O.V.)
I had a really fun day today so far. I'm glad that I got Alluka/Nanika to use their ability to bring me to Drake. He was definitely more entertaining than the butlers or messing with Milluki. Speaking of Alluka, I should go see her. I did promise to play with her when I got back, after all.
I continued to walk up the mountain until I arrived at the mansion. As I walked into the mansion, I was greeted by the sight of my brother.
"Illumi, what are you doing here? I was told you were out on another mission." I both fear and hate my eldest brother, Illumi. He is a manipulative b.a.s.t.a.r.d, who thinks he can force me to do whatever he wants. I will break free from his control and prove him wrong one day. Before that though, I need to go see Alluka. I did make a promise to her, and I intend to keep it.
"I finished early. It was too easy for me. Maybe you should take more missions instead of messing around all day like Milluki. We all know how he turned out, and I doubt that you want to end up like him. Speaking of messing around all day though, I heard that you left the property and didn't return until just now. Where were you?" His last question felt more like a demand, and I didn't want to answer him.
"It's none of your business, Illumi. Why do you care, it's not like you care about my safety or anything, so why bother asking?" I spat back at him. I can't stand him. He always gives off a weird feeling that makes me submit to him, and I hate it. It feels like death, but worse. I've been tortured my entire life, and I still cower in fear when Illumi gets serious in front of me.
"Oh sweet, little, innocent, idiotic brother of mine, I do care about you. If I didn't care about you, I would have killed you long ago. Now. Tell me where you were." I felt a chill run up my spine and the feeling of dread and fear that he gives me once again appeared. I hate this. I hate him. I hate this fear. I'm so weak, so useless in front of him. After a few moments, I spoke.
"I was at the cabin just outside the gate. I was with the Gatekeeper Zebro and a kid staying there with him. Seaquant was on his s.h.i.+ft, so I didn't see him until I came back to the mansion." As I answered his question, the dreadful feeling subsided and I sighed in relief. I need to leave before he forces me to do something else.
"A kid? At the gatekeeper's cabin? Interesting. I will look into it later. For now, tell me what you know." I couldn't resist the pressure. I can't resist the pressure. I feel my legs start to go weak, and my head feels light.
"The kid has been staying at the cabin for a few months. His name is Drake Aurum, and he is staying with Zebro at the cabin while he trains. I don't know what he is training for, and I don't know why he decided to train here. He looked to be wearing the weights that Zebro and Seaquant use to stay in shape so they can continue to work here. He's about sixteen, and that's all I know." I feel even worse now. I can't believe that I just told him everything like that. My head hurts even worse, but I feel the pressure lighten slightly.
"Interesting... Very interesting. Why were you over there in the first place? Tell me, now." I feel an excruciating amount of pain in my head. I just want it to stop. I want him to stop.
"I was there because I wanted to do something entertaining. I used Nanika to bring me to the nearest source of entertainment, and that's where she brought me." The pressure got even heavier, and the pain in my head got even worse. This is far worse than normal. It usually doesn't hurt this much. I feel as though I might faint if this keeps up.
" I see... Good boy, now then, run along. I have to go report to father. Oh, and Killua. Remember who you belong to." With that, Illumi left. My legs gave out, and I collapsed onto the floor. The floor feels nice right now. Yeah, really nice. I think I will take a nap here. A nice, long nap.
***
As I woke up, I found myself on the floor. 'd.a.m.nit! Why do I have to be so weak! I swear that one day I will get back at him.' I quickly got off of the floor and went to look for Alluka. She must be worried about me by now, and I have a promise to keep.
