Never Again 18 Cosmos Ruler

Looking at the two contradicting books, Xi Rin is tempted to slap the old man who's holding them.

Does she has a sign above heer had that say "Give me impossible trials please~"?!

C'mon! She only wants to live this life peacefully.

However, the old man pushed her to pick one, paying no mind to her inner turmoil. Thus, she reached out with hesitant hands, not knowing what to book.

But as soon as he hands came to hover above the two books, explosions sounded in her mind, leaving her shocked and mindless every time she comes close to any of the books

Biting her lips to stay clear-minded, she looks at the book before picking the black, ominous one with a single word 'LIFE'. She does not know why, but her gut instinct told her to do so and she had always trusted her guts. They were right on more occasion than one, saving her from her mother's fatal blows many times.

As she holds the black book in her hand, a white fire starts to burn the book. Before she could even react, the flames have already engulfed the whole book, slowing burning the black cover. However, the black soon burned to reveal a white page. As the flame extinguishes, the black book was now white with domineering words:

COSMOS RULER

What does it mean to be a Cosmos ruler? It means to be the Monarch of the galaxy. The King of the cosmos.

The King of all life.

Ha, such an arrogant t.i.tle.

As she opens the book to see its content inside, she completely missed the look of shock on the old man. His eyes were popping out in amazement and his jaw hanging open. And when Xi RIn looked up, his jaw still couldn't close. Uncomfortable from his gaze, "Erm... is something wrong?"

"What do mean "something wrong?" , the old man snapped, out of his daze. "Something is very wrong, okay?"

"Where's the life-and-death trial?! Where's the challenge?!" The old man exclaimed. His hands flailed in the air as he vents out his shock.

Giving the elder a wry look, she ignored him and continued reading the book. But as soon as she read the requirements to cultivate the first level, she immediately sighed and closed the book.

Cultivation in this world is measured by ranking. 1st rank being the weakest and 12th rank being the strongest. Above the 12th rank is something unknown to this continent and is unheard of. 1st and 2nd rank can be considered common while 5th rank might be considered strong among the ma.s.ses. However, to be truly strong, you have to be 8th rank or above.

But that's not the problem!

According to this body's memory, she is what people would call 'a waste', having absolutely no talent nor potential for cultivating. Absolute trash. And even if she wants to test whether that fact is true or not, she got no idea how to cultivate anyways.

Then looking at him with a bitter look, She said: " I can't..."

"Can't what?"

Licking her lips, she said slowly, "I can't... cultivate..."
