When The Moon Calls 9 Suspected

Johannes was currently crouching down, touching the ground. He was at the alley in which Thomas died, he could still smell the decay inside the air. Two man in black suits were standing at the side.

Johannes was trying to find traces and started to walk around but.....there was a strange odor in the air that blocked his sense of smell. It annoyed Johannes greatly, they arrived Tuesday night at Palmer Falls and now was Thursday, if he didn't came back with results today she would search herself and that would mean...many dead humans.

At least he found out where the girl lived. He already felt a huge headache coming if the Mistress doesn't like the results. She might go on rampage and kill every single human inside the town. The Sanguine Council wouldn't be happy if something like that happened.

He sighed, 'This is a dead end, it's time to visit Claudia Diaz!'

Michael wasn't paying attention to Mr. Rhodes physics cla.s.s, his thoughts were mostly focused on the problem with the High Vampire.

'I need to deal with them without causing a commotion....' His eyes wandered to his pack members and a plan started to form inside his head.

*DING DONG*

The bell rang and everyone stood up and started to pour out of the cla.s.sroom. The pack members met at the canteen and sat down together after getting their meal.

Michael started talking first, "Ceddy you live near Claudia right?"

That sudden question stunned Ceddy but he still nodded his head.

"Good you will escort her from today on, James won't be available for the next few days."

Ceddy nodded his head stronger, "Leave it to me."

Claudia couldn't help but smile at Ceddy's reaction.

"And just to make sure, Chris you and Stacey will escort Rachel from now on. I don't want anyone to walk outside alone. You all will move in groups everytime you go outside, understood?"

"Yes!" Answered the group.

"Bro what about me?" Asked Leroy.

"Nothing, you are the fastest from us all, or do you want help?"

"Ah no need I'm good." Said Leroy with a bright smile plastered on his face.

They spent the remaining time talking and eating before heading back to the next cla.s.ses.

"Miss Greyshaw, Sheriff Dawson is here." Said Barbara.

Anna Greyshaw was sitting outside, wearing gla.s.ses while reading an article on her laptop. She turned around and nodded to the Maid Barbara.

Barbara made a turn and came a few moments later back with Sheriff Dawson.

Anna Greyshaw closed her laptop and signaled Sheriff Dawson to take a seat.

Sheriff Dawson sat on the chair across the little marmor table.

"So what brings you here Harry?" Asked Anna curiously.

Sheriff Dawson waited until Barbara put down a cup filled with water and walked away.

He observed Anna Greyshaw for a minute before sighing, "Anna what has Richard been up to lately?"

She frowned, "The same as ever, he is in New York doing business and will be back in 2 weeks, why do you ask?"

He observed her and answered, "We found traces of blood a few days ago.....we found out that the blood was contaminated and the person it belongs to was likely poisoned to death....the thing is he was a vampire."

Anna was shocked at first but shook her head, "What rubbish are you talking about Harry? Vampires can't be poisoned, they are immune against poison that's common sense."

Sheriff Dawson took a gulp water and continued, "No rubbish it's fact, I received today the toxicological report....Anna I know that Richard runs a Research Company...did they stumble upon a way how to poison vampires?"

Anna's expression became darker and she put her dark blonde hair back, "Not that I know of, and even if....Richard stayed the last 2 months in New York, how could he poison someone here in Palmer Falls? Why was a vampire here in the first place?"

Sheriff Dawson sighed again, "I don't know and I ran into a dead end....I found out that a High Vampire is currently residing at the Norwish Hotel...I fear for our safety if the whole thing blows up. I mean, what would happen if the Sanguine Council gets wind of a vampire dying due to poisoning? They would send out the SDF and you know what that means."

Anna paled in fear, "Sacrosanct Department Force? Are you insane?"

"No I'm not, we know what happens to rebels....only the Fallen are able to fight against the SDF, we can't. If the Sanguine Council finds out that a poison exist that can kill vampires...what do you think they would do?"

Anna paled even more, "They would capture, torture and kill everyone that could be linked to it."

"Yes they would...and who in this town has the wealth and means to create such a poison?"

Anna Greyshaw stood abruptly up, "Enough! You know who we are, our Grayshaw family is loyal to the Sanguine Council since 4 generations, I won't let you sue our family. I think it is in your best interest to leave Harry!" She grew furious with every sentence, almost screaming.

Sheriff Dawson looked deep into her eyes before standing up and walking away, he halted for a moment, "I really hope this whole affair has nothing to do with the Greyshaw's, have a good day Anna."

Anna watched Sheriff Dawson's back disappear. Her heart was beating madly and she sank back into her chair. She tried to calm down but couldn't, she picked up her phone and called her husband Richard Greyshaw. It was already ringing when she felt her vision turn dark and she fainted.

A voice came from the phone, "Anna what is it?"

The phone slided out of her hand and landed on the ground, "Huh? Anna what happened? ANNA?"
