"It is time for the next match!" the referee called out. It was now two hours into the event and it was now Tommy's turn to head on up to the stage.

The crowd was still cheering from seeing interesting matches, even though none had been as exciting and jaw dropping as the first match with that cultivator.

Tommy not yet withdrawing his sword from his storage ring, looked towards the opposite side of the ring at his opponent. This opponent was a full meter taller than him and his body was much bulkier. However, this did not impress Tommy in the slightest.

"This kid might think that he stands a chance against me, but I do not even sense a shred of ki coming from his body." Tommy thought as the referee called out to the two that the match would begin in just a moment.

"It is safe to say that I will not even need to use a weapon until the finals." Tommy thought as the match finally began. Fighters who did not even have enough ki for Tommy to sense were clearly not even on the path towards cultivation yet. Therefore, there was almost no need for him to even use two hands.

Many of the spectators thought that Tommy would lose this match except for the experts in the crowd and VIP area who could sense Tommy's ki.

Right away, Tommy's opponent took the initiative and charged full speed towards him. The fighter did not care that he was leaving many openings for Tommy to take advantage of, because this fighter thought with his physique, that he could crush Tommy with his thumbs.

Unfortunately, for this fighter, Tommy was his opponent and acted quickly and precisely. The reason that Tommy chose not to waste his strength against this opponent, was because it angered him that this fighter was so green that he did not realize who Tommy was and how formidable he was.

With a single punch, Tommy hit the fighter in his abdomen and caused the fighter to hunch over before spitting out a mouthful of blood before collapsing. Seeing this scene, the crowd went silent as Leo from the VIP area started to smirk.

Instantly the crowd went crazy from seeing Tommy's punch causing this other fighter to be in such a sorry state. In this moment, both the cultivator from the first fight and Tommy were looked to be the favorites to win this compet.i.tion.

Though, the VIPs were pleased with Tommy's performance, they could all sense that he was not yet at the level where he could be considered a cultivator. The punch he unleashed in such a manner gave them all the impression that his background was still not simple and that they couldn't count him out quite yet either.

Exiting the stage and sitting down to relax, Tommy looked very composed, but on the inside his ego was being fed from the crowd's reactions. "I am the greatest compet.i.tor here, aren't I?" he thought as he watched the rest of the first round of matches.
