Yeri sniffed and continued mumbling. "you always say you're perfect, then why would you love someone who can't even equal your wealth?"

"s.h.i.+n, i'm serious!" Yeri angrily snapped at s.h.i.+n wanting to walk out, this bipolar jerk is really taking advantage of the fact that she can't walk yet!
"Wifey, which part of you isn't perfect? look, even your face perfectly fits within my hands." s.h.i.+n cupped her face and kisses her eyes. "I know what love is, because of you. Other things doesn't matter, remember that."
Yeri bit her bottom lip to stop herself from smiling, since when did he learned to say mushy words? and shockingly, she's actually buying it!

"s.h.i.+n!" Yeri shouted, hitting his chest, must he act like an annoying capitalist?

s.h.i.+n wickedly grinned seeing Yeri's angry face, his wifey is so pretty!
"Wifey-" s.h.i.+n was about to say something when he suddenly heard a distant, resonating sound, his agile mind quickly perceived their dangerous situation and without any delay and reluctance, he firmly hugged Yeri and ducked down on the floor.

"s.h.i.+n-" Yeri didn't got the chance to ask what's going on, when the gla.s.s wall panels behind them vibrated and suddenly shattered.
s.h.i.+n didn't waste any second after and swiftly stood up to run towards the door, carrying Yeri like a princess.
He just manage to open the door when a blinding explosion hurled them against the hallway wall followed by the alarms wailing incessantly.
Yeri cough from the smoke and dust, she feel dizzy from the impact and the high-pitched ringing on her ears.
s.h.i.+n staggered to stand up, still carrying her. "are you ok?!" he anxiously asked.
Yeri nodded and wrapped her arms around s.h.i.+n's neck, they just walked out of the grey area and clearly seeing s.h.i.+n's condition horrified her. "S-s.h.i.+n?"
s.h.i.+n's forehead and ear are bleeding profusely, wounds visible from the torned clothes on his arms and shoulders.
What about his back? Yeri anxiously thought.
"don't worry, i always wear a bulletproof vest so my back is fine." s.h.i.+n slightly smiled understanding her concern. "although i'm happy to see that you're worried about me."
"What's there to be happy about? just look at you! we have to see Dr. Neri or any other Doctor soon, you're bleeding!" Yeri scolded him.
Hospital guards and nurses scurried to run towards them while others went to check for other injured patients.
Zahn just finished operating a patient when he was told of what happened, when he arrived to another ER, he saw Yeri sitting outside on a wheelchair, Secretary Yun and two of s.h.i.+n's bodyguards.
"what happened?" Zahn asked.
Yeri blankly looked at Zahn, aside from feeling dizzy earlier, she don't feel any pain at all nor she have any wounds or scratches. s.h.i.+n coc.o.o.ned her, blocking the explosion and her impact against the wall.
Is someone trying to kill her or s.h.i.+n? Yeri couldn't stop thinking.
The ER doors suddenly opened with s.h.i.+n walking out, wearing a new suit brought by Secretary Yun.
"Y-Young Master Keir, you still need blood transfusion." the doctor nervously said following him, looking distressed.
"I don't need it." s.h.i.+n glared at the Doctor and turned to Secretary Yun. "did you found something?"
Secretary Yun just nodded.
"s.h.i.+n, the Doctor said you still need blood transfusion!" Yeri wheeled closer, she could feel s.h.i.+n's dark aura violently errupting.
s.h.i.+n ruffled her hair, gazing at her with a loving expression. "I'm fine."
"ahem! Dr. Neri, does Young Master Keir has congenital insensitivity to pain?" the doctor who treated s.h.i.+n muttered to Zahn, he had never st.i.tched a patient who refused a sedative or any painkillers.
"no, he's just numb." Zahn briefly answered.
"...." numb? is he a monster? the doctor look speechless.
Later at Zahn's office, Secretary Yun brought out the evidence they have gathered from the room.
"Boss, we found this broken pieces of a drone, they attached a powerful amplifier to release a sound wave that stimulated the right resonant frequency enough to break the gla.s.s walls, the drone itself was also a time bomb but the blast range was designed to produce a minimal damage." Secretary Yun explained.
"minimal damage?" s.h.i.+n coldly asked.
"so the blast range is specifically the room itself, just enough to kill whoever is in there." Zahn interrupted.
Secretary Yun nervously confirmed, feeling a murderous atmosphere suffocating the office. Who would dare tried to kill the Young Miss with their Boss presence? Is this still related to the previous incident?
"B-Boss, apart from the drones broken pieces, we also found this battery size metal tube, i think it's a canister."
s.h.i.+n ominously stared at the familiar metal tube, his insides wanted to wreak havoc.
Secretary Yun tried to open it but couldn't figure out how, is there some pa.s.sword or tools needed to open it?
"give it to me." Zahn asked.
"Dr. Neri this metal tube might contain toxic gas or poison, It's very dangero-" Secretary Yun was unable to finish his words when s.h.i.+n swiftly s.n.a.t.c.hed it, snapping the tube to open.

s.h.i.+n took out a piece of paper inside the tube, ignoring Secretary Yun's paper white face.
? Boss! stop giving me a heart attack. If something happened to you, i'll be skinned alive! Secretary Yun complained in his heart.
After reading the message, s.h.i.+n suddenly flew into an uncontrollable rage, thras.h.i.+ng all the things around him.
"...." did he forgot this is my office? Zahn thought but didn't bothered to stop s.h.i.+n knowing his personality, he picked up the piece of paper who cause the demon king's rampage.
