He was a man of darkness. When every common individual went back to their houses to cool their tiredness down, he acted. In the shadows of today's society, he hardened his forteresse and built a better empire. His world was cold, darkness in a corner, always waiting to swallow him alive at the slightest sign of weakness... He never knew warmth... real warmth... The warmth of love, from his mother, from anyone... Everybody contributed to build the soldier he was today... But I discovered his heart...

Behind closed doors, behind the cold mask, behind the darkness of his soul, the cruelty of his actions... I could see it... him. Truly.

She smiled before he finally opened his eyes to admire her beautiful sight.

"Do you ever sleep..." she asked, turning around to face the ceiling, her hand in the air playing with the wind, in all nervousness.

"I don't."

"I've noticed."

"You've been staring at my face for half an hour, I'm curious to know what is it that you find so fascinating." He added, admiring her hands with curiosity.

She chuckled, before turning to face him. Not the least intimidated by his naked body.

"You're interesting..."

"As I've heard..."

She chuckled again.

"Not in that way silly... Reo, I find it very interesting how... when you sleep, you lay like everybody else, breathing and living like us all... but as soon as you wake, you act like-

"You'll gain nothing from studying me..."

"I was not."

He stared. His jaw suddenly tense. What was annoying him in this early morning again?

"What is it that you are looking for in me Kanna?"

And then she realized it was the first time he said her name...

She leaned closer. He was so beautiful... despite everything, she was madly drawn to him... always.

"I do not know." She finally spoke, her hand on his chest. And as she studied his raced heartbeats, she noticed his intense stare.

"I know what you are doing..." he said

And she looked up, curious.

"And what is that?"

"You want to change me... find whatever bulls.h.i.+t emotion you can turn against my nature and make me forget about everything. Make me a new man..." he bit his lower lip with nervousness before finis.h.i.+ng. "Make me better..."

Her eyes lit in surprise, as he laid there studying her.

He was right. When he was laying there, asleep, or not. She couldn't help but realize how much Reo was only a man. A broken, complicated, strong but fragile human being like her... and she couldn't help but feel compa.s.sion for him. She wanted to give him everything he needed to finally realize it was his own self who was driving himself away from happiness. He could end all of this, forget about the barriers, forget about that foul world he lived in. Run away and smile...

But she knew better. It wasn't as easy. That world was ruthless. No weakness. No runaway soldier. He had a duty... G.o.d she knew it too d.a.m.n well...

She smiled sadly before boring her fingers in his hair and drawing him closer.

"G.o.d... Help me... because I do love you... madly... dearly... and I hate that despite the fact that you want me... -And I know you do- ...you don't allow yourself to have me..."

He didn't speak. His eyes were closed as he was savoring her presence... he couldn't allow her in... it was too painful and too risky for her own safety...

"You should go..." he said, slowly, his eyes still closed.

And it went silent again. She stayed there, staring at him, his plead such an obvious lie. He wanted her. She knew it. He didn't need to say the words. Ever... or, at least for now.

"Yes I should... but is that what you want?- and before you speak that grotesque lie- I beg of you to look me in the eyes and tell me you don't want me here as much as I do... and I swear to you I will be gone."

She slowly withdrew her hands from his hair and waited. Admiring him in obvious deep thoughts. His confusion so obvious by his frown and tight lips. Seconds went and went... and then he finally opened his eyes.

Hunger, l.u.s.t, mixed with surrender. He leaned forward and found her lips. And seconds later his tongue found hers and he slowly stroked it with hunger as his hand went in the sheets to part her legs and play with her wetness. She moaned as he placed his self at her entrance and screamed in pleasure as his hard self found its way inside of her.

His hand on her breast, and the other on her neck, eyes in eyes they stayed as he dig, again, and again inside of her. Each thrust, deeper, as they both looked for their limit.

She cupped his face, never leaving his eyes, as she placed her two legs around his waist, encouraging her to go deeper. Their breaths went heavy and louder, but she still found a way to speak.

"I... love... you..."

His eyes went wide for a second, a hint of happiness surfaced before drowning in the same second. His eyes dark, he thrusted deeper and faster, as they both moaned... but she kept saying it... again and again. Lower and lower, as a whisper but she knew he could hear her...

"I love...you... only you... now... and... forever"

As the last word finally left her lips, they both finished... her eyes rolled back, her lips "o" in a moan, her hands sliding down his shoulders and digging in the skin of his back. And he found her neck, but it in a loud groan before finding his release.

They stayed their for a few minutes, his face still in her neck, and her hand sliding up his hair. As she was about to talk, she hear him.

"I cannot give you what you want... what you deserve..."

She silently nodded before he continued.

"And I know it's selfish of me... but I don't want you to leave... ever... I'm going to put you through a h.e.l.l of a lot of s.h.i.+t... but..."

She stroke his hair, encouraging him to continue.

"I can only promise to do my best to keep you away from my world... safe and sound... I'll do my best to... make you enjoy, never leaving me..."

She smiled, silent tears running down her face, and he continued.

"I only ask for one thing... your trust... I need it... all of it... if we are going to do this... you'll have to trust me deeply."

"I do..." She finally said

And he rose to face her, and surprise lit her face. Sadness, pure sadness, and fear... he wanted this badly... and he finally let those wall break... it was him... Reo...

She smiled... happy. So utterly happy.

"I will do things that will make you hate me... I will do things that will make you question me... but... know, to never do that." He said as he stared at her... waiting for her response.

And to that she rose and kissed him. And after a few seconds of hesitation, he kissed her back, with all his might.
