To Understand how big, one will have to understand a little bit about hunter.

One person fall under each name. As time go by they either reproduce with each other or other human to carry on the hunter Aluk bloodlines. Over each generation the Aluk become stronger and the generation gain better hunter.

The first generation of hunters found it hard to hunt the supernatural and barely survive but after the fifth generation they were able to hunt.

But the Hunter have code. These code were put into place to avoid killing innocent and wrongly accused.

This signify one thing to an hunter. If an supernatural began hunting human like animals with no reasonable reason the hunter will come and hunt them down.

Because endless killing of vampire or werewolves would disturb the very order of nature the witches are trying their best to secure. Plus at time of need vampire, werewolf and other supernatural beings tends to work with hunter when fighting monsters.

Vampire and werewolves are considered supernatural beings while being such as the basilisk are monster.

Don't think vampire and werewolves or at the mercy of hunters though. Vampire have various coven all over the world and are extremely dangerous when they decide to do something. Werewolves are also no easy prey so to keep the order no senseless hunts were made.

Now what Chris father did broke the code and he would be implicated as he was the Head of the Argent family. When the other hunter family hear about this, worst case scenario he will he lose his right arm and his power of an hunter and the worst was he lose his life. This was the same end Kate would experience too.

Breaking the code had very serious punishments.

Chris and Derek carefully took their time to explain these thing after what Kate said.

Chris frown but he couldn't say anything. If it wasn't for his father the murders wouldn't be happening now and Peter wouldn't have plan to release the basilisk.

He is logically murdering people and he use the Dark Star pack for something. a.s.sume that he want to wait when the Basilisk leave it nest to invade it for something. " Alex said as he tried to guess Peter intentions.

" You might be right but what could it be. Wouldn't the black box be the only thing in it nest." Chris said.

" No. The Hale family use the basilisk to store many supernatural treasure we deem to powerful for themself to protect. The Hale family was the subordinate of the present royal packs head mother so we knew alot of things well my grandmother." Derek explained.

Everyone frown as the amount of things that Peter could want just skyrocketed.

" I forgot to say but Alex. You should be careful. You kill quite alot of lizardmen earlier. It would be best for you to be careful because the basilisk will target you.." Chris said.

" By sending lizardmen" Alex asked to which Chris nodded.

" Do you have any idea when it will come out on it own." Alex asked to which Derek answer.

" If it targeting you it will probably wait until all it children are killed. At that time it will attack." Derek said.

Alex frown at this and sigh. This mean he had alot of monster to fight now.

" I am going home now. Scott come." Alex said as he got up.

" Dont worry If you leave beacon hills it won't attack you. I advise you to leave beacon hill and me and the other hunter will handle the basilisk. This is not something a group of kids should be meddling in." Chris said.

" And where do you expect me to go." Alex asked.

" I have a friend that run a school for supernatural children. You, your brother Jackson and Lidia should go." Chris said.

Alex chuckle as he could guess which school he was talking about.

" That sound like a nice offer to which I will take after this fiasco. I don't care if he Derek uncle I will kill him for what he did to my brother. Later we will talk about that school." Alex said as he walked toward the front door.

Leaving the house Scott finally spoke.

" Your planning to go after Peter?"

" Why not. You know now that I am a vampire. Although it was quite recently and I don't know how to use my power properly I am still strong." Alex said.
