"You were waiting for me to visit?" asked with a teasing voice.

"No!" She coldly replied, He Lan felt pain in his heart but brush it off.

"There was an attack from the Demon Tribe! Have you heard of it?" His toned reverted to seriousness.

"Yes!" She knew he was testing her if she said no, it would mean that she was lying, therefore, she has something to hide. Even if that thing wasn't related to this issue, he will definitely be more wary of her. She, instead said the truth, She has her own army, hearing information from the enemy clan wasn't abnormal but then another problem would be how did she get the information this fast.

"Are you involved?" He didn't care about how she found out but whether or not she was involved, he somewhat wanted her not to be the mastermind of this.

"Nope" She replied as she wasn't afraid of whether or not he will believe her, but the truth was she was a bit terrified that he wouldn't believe her, she wanted him to believe her.

He didn't add anything and looked at her before laying back on the bed. The truth is He Lan knew that she couldn't be the mastermind of the attack because her ways of killing were pretty cruel and if she wanted to destroy Chang Gui, from what he knew of her. She wouldn't hide it, and she would never harm the people unless they bring harm to her people.

"What are you doing?" She asked when she saw him reposing his back on her bed.

"I should ask you the same question."

"Me? Nothing"

"Lin'er when did you go blind?"

Xia Lin was shocked, he called her so affectionately. 'Lin'er, Lin'er' She kept repeating how he called her in mind.

He Lan had been thinking on how to call her, he didn't want to call her Xia Lin or Lin Lin because her siblings address her that way. My Phoenix didn't sound right either so only Lin'er sounded perfect for her.

He Lan tilted his head to see Xia Lin's blus.h.i.+ng face, for some reason seeing her blush made him feel happy.

"I'm gonna set out soon to Chang Gui. "

"Why are you telling me?"

"So you don't cause any more trouble than you already have."

"Me? Trouble? I don't cause them, they come looking for me."

He Lan was speechless, his little bunny did know how to create trouble for him.

"Are you referring to Ping Ting?" she finally asked. 'I knew, he came here for it.' She somehow felt down, a piercing pain was strangling her heart.

"I guess, I did punish her. She was annoying me." She said that purposefully to see He Lan's reaction.

He Lan was still quiet because she had turned when she was talking she thought he was sleeping or he left.

"He Lan, call me He Lan; you are my wife so call me He Lan" he cut her midway as she was about to call him by his t.i.tle.

"MMhhh..." She blushed again, He Lan sat down and looked at her with, his hand holding hers. He was waiting for her to call out his name.

"He Lan..." She understood what that look meant so she called him out.

He Lan smile, that smile was so tender and loving; "When I'm out, you will be attending court and doing all the necessary paperwork that I do." He added.

He Lan pulled her closer to him before making her sit near him. He, then laid down on the bed reposing his head on her lap; He closed his eyes, indicating that he was going to sleep.

"Aren't you afraid that I will learn secret about Geng Gao and give it to my father."

"If that's what you want to do, it wouldn't matter whether you are in charge of Geng Gao or not, you will still find the weaknesses."
