Who Moved My Mountain Chapter 30 Part 4: Mirror Demon

Yun Rong looked at Lin Xiao Man and spoke to her indifferently, without any fluctuations, yet her voice sounded powerful, as if each and every word was nailed into her heart.  

Lin Xiao Man was stunned, she had never thought of this issue. Since young, she was the most unremarkable among her siblings. The people at home had always said that she wasn't good looking, just average. She put in great efforts to learn how to put on makeup, yet no matter how she drew, she couldn't make herself delicate and pretty.  

When she attended school, all the male students revolved around the beautiful and pretty female students. The teachers also liked beautiful and smart students, while she had always been a n.o.body. Gradually, she began to think that her school performance wasn't good due to her not being good-looking. The teachers did not let her become the cla.s.s representative because she didn't look good; if she went out shopping, the attendants treated her coldly. All because she wasn't good looking.   

Since earlier years, she was accustomed to blaming everything on her appearance. But now, someone told her that her failure was because she didn't strive for it. Is that really the case? 

"Let's go." Lu He Nian looked at Yun Rong deeply and pulled her hand while saying. 

Yun Rong froze, Lu He Nian's palm was dry and wide. When he lightly pulled her hand, it felt awfully gentle and warm. This feeling was not bad at all. She quickly came back and didn't pull her hand away. Then nodded and replied: "Let's go."

She walked two steps before turning her head to see the stunned Lin Xiao Man still at the same place and quietly asked: "Do you want to call the police ah?" 

"I have already sent the police a text message. An officer will arrive in five minutes." Although he did not like Lin Xiao Man, she was still his employee. He also didn't wish Yun Rong's effort to go to waste.  

Yun Rong felt at ease upon hearing that he had already reported it to the police. Even though this female's thinking was a bit extreme, in the end, it was a human life. She still hoped that she could keep her life.  

While walking, Yun Rong lifted the mirror demon in her hand and said: "Now, we have to call Wan Bo to come and take this?" 

"Get in the car first, I'll call him." Lu He Nian nodded. After they were inside the car, he called Wan Bo at once. Wan Bo was already asleep when he received the call. When he heard that a demon was captured, he was so surprised that he got out of bed with a jump.

Since he had to send Yun Rong to the hotel to get some rest, Lu He Nian didn't ask Wan Bo to go to the outskirts but to directly meet him in front of the hotel.  Wan Bo agreed immediately and repeatedly thanked him before hanging the phone up.

After he hung up, Lu He Nian told Yun Rong about the conversation and soon drove to the hotel.

 Once in the car, the tied up mirror demon seemed to understand that it couldn't escape anymore and exerted its strength to struggle while issuing an ear-piercing roar.  

"Be quiet!" Yun Rong frowned and reprimanded it in a low voice. For a moment, a powerful force hit the demon and pressed its whole body down. The once fidgety mirror demon instantly stiffened, then huddled while s.h.i.+vering. 

Lu He Nian glanced at the corner where there was a ball of translucent thing, just like a fog. He couldn't help asking: "This is a demon? Are all demons appearance like this?"  

"Correct, this is a demon. Not all demons look like this, every demon has their own appearance. But all of them like to change into human form." Yun Rong ignored the motionless mirror demon and spoke: "This demon, because it was particularly useless, that's why it looks like this." 

It didn't even have a human appearance, so useless yet still came out. Simply losing the face of the entire demon race! 

She continued: "Second brother, not all demons are very powerful. Some demons are not even a match for humans and can only use inferior hypnotizing methods to confuse humans. This demon is one of this weakling kind. If it had met a person with a firm and steady will, it would not have succeeded."

Mirror-useless-weakling, as the demon listened to Yun Rong's tone filled with strong loathing, it couldn't help shrinking itself even smaller. Previously, Yun Rong restrained the aura of her body so there was no demonic smell at all.  It still thought that she was an ordinary member of some religious sect. The current religious sects were all very useless and it wasn't afraid of them at all. Unexpectedly, it ran into a real big shot.  

If it had known earlier, even with ten Lin Xiao Man, it wouldn't take any chances! 

Lu He Nian listened to Yun Rong until she was done and faintly swept his gaze at the mirror demon. He lowered his eyes and spoke: "Just now, Lin Xiao Man spoke a lot of unpleasant words. You shouldn't take it to heart."

Yun Rong didn't expect Lu He Nian to say this. She looked at him with astonishment and spoke: "She was enticed by the mirror demon and spoke whatever was hidden in her heart. As a matter of fact, this matter concerns second brother, I don't mind it at all." 

Yun Rong was always tolerant towards humans. She didn't have to handle it herself, Lin Xiao Man had insulted a mountain demon; she was the one who had brought it all to herself, so punishment would quickly come to her. 

At the mention of Lin Xiao Man, Yun Rong couldn't help asking: "Second brother, actually how does your human love work?" Obviously, Lin Xiao Man was suffering in her heart, yet still strongly clung to what her heart desired. In fact, as long as she let it go, she would be much happier. 

'Your human', are you not human too? Able to capture a demon single-handedly, are the people of Xuanmen that powerful?  

Lu He Nian gripped the steering wheel tightly but in the end, he didn't ask her anything. Turning his head, he looked at Yun Rong with slight doubt in his pupils and spoke: "What do you think? What would you do if you like someone?"

Friday again… how does time pa.s.s so fast? And here I am without having done much for the whole week…
