She's placed small bits of stones on cups and chairs, meaning she can basically bring everything towards her with just a simple thought. Although it did take a bit to get the cup one under control considering during her first try she spilt hot coffee all over herself.
There was also the battery. Granted it wasn't anything new, but it would certainly come in useful when they need it. It was a rechargeable battery as well, and using Simon's lightning powers they're able to charge it quickly.
And for her final invention, she used the water stones to create a shower and the was.h.i.+ng machine. Everyone was ecstatic when she came out with these. As it meant they didn't need to constantly travel back and force from Australia just to wash their clothes.
Today, however, was the day that the results for the hybrids are done. When she first arrived Lachlan had quickly managed to convince Sarah in giving a bit of blood to Anne for research. And after a few days of a.n.a.lysing she's told him that there are results which can back his idea.
He quickly shot up towards the lab carrying Anne over his shoulders. When he reached it he disappeared and reappeared inside in front of the screens. There was a bunch of information on them, most of which Lachlan didn't understand.
"So what does all of this mean?" Lachlan wanted to know how it supported his theory and whether or not they have sufficient evidence.
"Basically, it really is a mutation within the genes," Anne explained. "It's as though some of her genes have been replaced with that of another creature's, causing her physical appearance to change within time."
"So to summarise it all up we have the evidence?" Lachlan couldn't hold back his excitement and lifted Anne up in front of him.
Anne responded with a nod, "Yes, there's sufficient evidence to prove your theory correct and disprove the theory that they're intelligent beasts. Although I would like to get a sample of intelligent beast blood, specifically a humanoid one."
"That can definitely be done, I'll get you so many samples you won't know what to do," Lachlan felt relief and joy overwhelm him where it was confirmed. He felt great, and although their journey didn't last all that long, their goal was achieved.
"Haha, don't do that, I just need one or two, and if you're planning on getting multiple samples you have to make sure they're from different intelligent beasts," Anne joked but Lachlan took it very seriously. He felt as though he knew just the place. Sydney.
'So we can get our revenge father?' Catastrophe was feeling fired up. He's been waiting to get some revenge on those intelligent beasts for years now. All his training will come into fruition as he beats them into the ground.
'Should we go and get the others?' Lachlan felt pretty confident in his own strength and felt as though he could take on the intelligent beasts by himself.
'Of course, we'll go over and crush them into the ground, I'll show them who's stronger' Catastrophe excitedly said.
'Indeed, I feel as though we'll be plenty strong, who knows, maybe the muscle head Catastrophe could handle the three on his own' Calamity said snarkily.
'What's this you're talking about?' Aaron hadn't been tamed yet when they fought against the intelligent beasts so he was left in the dark. He didn't know what everyone was talking about.
'Years ago when the world's evolution just happened we got pushes away from a major city due to a group of intelligent beasts and their army, now we're going and crus.h.i.+ng to into the ground with our overwhelming strength' Calamity explained with a boast.
'Oh, so what should I do, I feel as though it isn't my place to partic.i.p.ate in this revenge' Aaron said.
'You should guard father, we'll that care of everything else' Catastrophe said.
Aaron agreed with it, considering that's what he swore to do.
"Alright, so you just wait here for a bit and we'll go get those samples, it won't take long, we'll be back at the latest the end of the day," Lachlan quickly explained before sprinting out and summoned Calamity.
Jumping on, he shot off away from the island, going in a b line straight for Sydney. A grin going from ear to ear on his face, he looked forward to the battle that was about to start. And since there wasn't anyone in Sydney right now he could completely let loose.
He looked forward to seeing the expression on those intelligent beasts' faces as he crushes them and their entire army into the ground. This would also be the perfect place for Aaron to get to max level.
After two long years, the intelligent beasts' forces should have grown much stronger. Of course, in Lachlan's eyes, they were merely juicy sacks of experience to level up Aaron. He would thoroughly enjoy it.
...
Back at the base, Chloe had just entered the lab, "Why did Lachlan leave in such a hurry?" She asked as she stared at Lachlan's figure disappearing into the distance.
"I need a few samples of intelligent beast blood to make sure the results I have can fully confirm the fact that the mutated children aren't intelligent beasts," Anne explained calmly.
"Huh! DId you just say you have results to confirm my child isn't an intelligent beast!" Chloe rushed towards Anne, appearing next to her in an instant as she lifted her up.
"Of course, if I said I was the second smarted person I don't think they will be anyone to claim first. Except for arrogant and c.o.c.ky people that seem attached to the fame they get when they say it," Anne said with an angry tone.
"Did something happen in the past?" Chloe asked. Although she didn't want to invade Anne's privacy considering she pretty much just achieved their goal all by herself. The anger behind her tone seemed annoyed.
"Not something to me, I just find it to be a waste of talent. All those genius prodigy scientists that could spend all their time improving the world instead seem to focus more on trying to gain fame, reputation, and money."
"After all, they seem to focus their research more into what the public wants then what they need. They seem to focus more on something that can be commercialised then something that can save people for a little amount of money. Of course, there are plenty of people that do spend their time creating useful inventions, I just don't believe it's ever enough people," After the rant, she took in a deep breath before exhaling it slowly.
"It seems you have some rather strong opinions there," Chloe said cheekily.
"Of course I do. Obviously, some scientist have their restrictions, granted they might only specialise in certain fields. But I believe if we got the smartest brains in each field we could solve problems efficiently, it's just that some scientist, especially young ones, care more about money then being useful."
"The worst part is I can't blame them about it either. Since that's what this world had come to, where everything was run by money and not having any money would put you in a difficult spot," Anne inhaled a deeply again before sitting down as she exhaled.
"Well, I suppose then this whole collision has sort of brought everyone closer. In that they now all have the same goal, to survive. And now the government only pays when you do something useful for the population around you, such as building shelters or maintaining military weapons," Chloe said.
"As much as I hate the fact that so many people died from it, I'm at least relieved that now everyone sees the bigger picture. Of course, there will always be those that only care for themselves but someone usually sorts them out now. Especially now that those beasts can be tamed, strong people will sometimes go around sorting out problems," Anne explained as she sunk further into her chair.
"Indeed," Chloe sighed before walking back out. She was, however, still feeling incredibly excited from the great news she's just received. Even after that rather surreal conversation she just had with Anne.
...
At the edges of Sydney above the water was Lachlan. He was looking down on the city from the sky. His grin never disappeared throughout the entire journey, it instead got larger when he finally saw the city.
It was actually rather well maintained for a city that had been overrun by beasts. There were a few slightly destroyed buildings but nothing too big. They could all very easily be repaired.
'Alright, let's go down and meet our opponents' Lachlan told Calamity as he looked towards the three temple looking structures in the distance.
They almost looked like the old Greek temples, with large thick pillars supporting the hard stone roof. Although Lachlan knew Athena was a Greek G.o.ddess, one possessing great wisdom in almost all aspects. One of them, Serqet, wasn't a greek G.o.ddess but an Egyptian one instead. As for Arachne, he found it a bit suspicious that she would even be counted as a diety considering she was originally human.
'But considering Athena was the G.o.ddess of craftsmans.h.i.+p it might be likely that she build or designed these temples' Lachlan thought about it before quickly throwing it to the back of his mind. He didn't really care all that much.
'But who should we fight against first' Lachlan began thinking about his options. There was Athena, Serqet, and Arachne. Two Greek and one Egyptian.
'We should just separate and fight them by ourselves' Catastrophe suggested.
'Indeed, I believe we have the adequate fighting abilities to go against them head to head' Calamity said.
'I think it'll be alright, it'll finally be time for me to fight by myself' Disaster said.
Lachlan couldn't really refute it. As although his Rocs were actually either slightly physically strong if not equal, with the power-up of their strengths he should be able to easily crush the intelligent beasts before they even realise what's going on.
