Just a day before the book release, Lillian spent time with the Sales team and inventory management team. Since her true ident.i.ty isn't revealed, necessary precautions have to be followed during the book release. The won't be any live event but an announcement from the publication. However, since her last few works have been much appreciated, Lillian's fans tried to stalk at KeyLine's. Shane had to take security measure to avoid such things in future. Just like that, on a Sat.u.r.day afternoon, Lillian and Jenna were busy attending meetings. Shane was also presented. Once the meeting got over, Shane requested Lillian to stay back.

"You have a friend who's princ.i.p.al, right?" Shane enquired. It was for Lia, Shane had promised Giselle to find a good school for Lia back during their first meeting. Lillian has a school friend who's now working as the Princ.i.p.al in a reputed school.

"Hmm... yeah, Deigo. You have met him once, remember?" Lillian answered. Deigo is just like Anna, Lillian's friend from school. Lillian, Anna, and Deigo were the gangmates back in their schooldays. Anna went to get trained as Ma.s.seuse and opened her own Spa, which is running very successfully. Deigo became the princ.i.p.al because of his family. Shane knew that one of Lillian's friend can help him with Lia's admission.

"I don't remember very well. Can you help me to get an admission to one of my friend's kid by talking to him?" Shane requested. He didn't mention that it was for Giselle's kid Lia. Lillian saw him feeling anxious, which she had never seen for a long time. The great CEO Shane Ricardo, feeling anxious for getting an admission? Something's wrong? Lillian suspected. But, it wasn't her business to being nosy on other's personal life. No way, this is Shane we're talking about. Lillian was motivated to draw out some information.

"Is it for someone I know?" Lillian started sharp and direct.

"Can you talk to him for me?" Shane refused to answer Lillian and kept focusing on getting that Princ.i.p.al's attention.

"I will give you his number. I can't be like calling him and say 'Yo, gimme an admission form for a kid'. Regardless of that fact that he's my friend. That guy's little sensitive and upright. It's better for you to speak directly. He might ask you some other details about the child and its mother, you know." Lillian's reply startled Shane. 'Maybe she found out?' Shane thought. It can't be true though.

When Shane was all confused and looked even more suspicious, Lillian guessed.

"Is it your new girlfriend or something? Dude don't try to hide something from me. I can easily guess people from their expression. Who do you think I am?" Lillian tore a piece of paper from the nearby notebook and wrote 'Deigo's number' on it.

"Let him know that you're calling him directly without mentioning my name. That guy will pamper me if you tell him that I gave his number to you. He doesn't like me giving out his number to others, which on very few occasions I've overruled. He must have felt so bad." Lillian creeped out in fear. She warned Shane about not mentioning her name which makes the process go like; Shane Ricardo from KeyLine publication is trying to reach out for Deigo. Hope it might work without any trouble.

Later, she left for home telling Shane that it is useless to hide from his own friend.

Shane felt relieved somehow. She's still the same; cooking up some stories all the time. He took the number and dialed it immediately.

"h.e.l.lo?" the voice on the other line spoke. Shane went ahead to speak after confirming if it's Deigo.

Without any further adieu, Shane placed his request.

"Deigo, One of my friends moved back here. She has an 8-year old daughter Lia, who needs an admission. Do you think you can help me?"

"Shane Ricardo from KeyLine publication?" Deigo kept thinking until he got the mutual connection.

"Isn't Lillian working under your publication? By any chance, did she give you my number?" Deigo's reply hit the nail on board. Shane remembered Lillian warning him about not mentioning her name. Shane tried to convince Deigo by saying that his school was recommended and that's the reason to call him for help. Deigo who thought that the story was not too real eventually gave up trying to figure out the truth.

"Sorry, that fool, Lillian. She gives my number to all those people who request her for help regarding admission or scholars.h.i.+p and so. That is why I had to be harsh to with those calls. However, I apologize.

"...haha. It's alright, trust me. It's difficult to find her for work itself." Shane went along with Deigo's frustration.

For the next few moments, Deigo asked for further details about the kid and their parents. Shane gave out the details about Giselle and her kid Lia. His information was about Giselle's return from abroad and that she is a single mother with a kid named Lia. Deigo requested Shane to give him some time before making his final decision. Shane agreed. However, before ending their call Shane requested that the conversation stays silent; meaning that 'please don't tell Lillian about it'.

After their call ended, Deigo who was in his office called out another number from his mobile. He devised a plan.
