"Let's go for a walk," Lillian says.
"Right now? It's already pa.s.sed ten. You must be insane. Though I'm flattered that you took such great risk to come and see me but no. We should not go for a walk with you looking like this and-"
Lillian had to cover Giselle's mouth from being so negative.
"Why are you destroying my 'oh-so-good' mood?"
"Instead of being a party p.o.o.per, come with me. It is officially your prom night as well, so let's celebrate it together."
Lillian said as she casually grabbed Giselle's hands to walk together.
"I am fine by myself," Giselle jerked it away politely.
Though alarmed at first, Lillian let her be comfortable.
..
Lillian planned to go on a course within the skateboard park while Giselle didn't say anything but follows her quietly. As she walked side by side, next to Lillian Grey, all she could think is of how cold Lillian's hands were when the moment they touched with hers.
'She must be waiting for a long time, and by getting lost, she was going around the neighborhood.'
Giselle glanced sideways at Lillian.
Lillian appeared to be carrying a happy face as she walked.
'Why is she so happy?'
'After that day at the park. After saying all those words, she still treats me with such great care. Well, that is how she is, but- Lillian looks beautiful tonight, even more than she appeared in my dream.'
'And what's with that high thigh slit? Too much exposure!'
Giselle found herself getting red from checking out Lillian. Quickly s.h.i.+fting her gaze, she walked silently.
'She must be feeling super cold and with- such a revealing- dress,' Giselle peeked at how pale Lillian's back looked. Giselle could even see the nerves appearing at random spots.
"…"
Giselle removes her coat without making any noise and silently places it over Lillian's shoulders. Lillian's skin tingled from coming in touch with a warm cloth. As if a hungry lion catches its prey, Lillian looked at it devouringly.
"Wear it, you can't enjoy your walk in this cold breeze while wearing that dress," Giselle said and took the lead swiftly.
Lillian stood frozen for a few seconds. Only after noticing the growing distance between the two, did Lillian quickly wore the coat and ran in her heels, catching up to Giselle.
Seeing Lillian covered, Giselle could relax a little bit. As for Lillian Grey, she got wrapped in the warmth received from the coat along with her favorite scent in the world, lavender.
"hehe.." she giggled while hugging the coat tighter and brus.h.i.+ng her face with those fabric-covered sleeves.
"It's so warm, thanks to Giselle," Lillian smiled.
Giselle bluntly nodded while pursing her lips from smiling haughtily.

It is the second round of touring the park, and the two never spoke throughout the whole time. It was quiet except for the city noises.
'This feels nostalgic.' – Giselle noted.
'This is like when we used to walk home together.' – Lillian thought.
It isn't that they were restraining themselves from chatting, but it is the silence that they both enjoyed with each other. There was no need for any words to dance except the harmony that ran in between Lillian Grey and Giselle. However, Lillian soon realized that peace alone could never improve their relations.h.i.+p. If not something, that she learned from Anna about dating and relations.h.i.+ps is about how communication is necessary to sustain a beautiful relations.h.i.+p.
'Communication, huh!' – Lillian remarked.
"Do you want to know anything about me?" Lillian spoke first.
Lillian, herself, doesn't know everything about Giselle, but she let Giselle ask about her since it might help her to open up a little. When Lillian feels that they are back to the way they used to be, which is closer, then Lillian can ask about Giselle. That way, she won't feel pressured or stressed to talk about herself.
It came as a shock for Lillian to pose such a question to Giselle. She appeared dumbfounded. After giving it a thought, Giselle replied.
"You already met my family. I want to know about you. Tell me about your family," Giselle asked.
'Family, huh?' – Lillian thought.
"Alright, I'll tell you about my family."
Lillian yelled in the cold night and began talking about her story.
**
It was the fifth round, and Lillian still went on about her people.
"You have no idea how compet.i.tive my dad and Diego's mom, Donna, can get with their pa.s.sion for cooking. The two are like monsters when it comes to food. Well, we are lucky enough to be their taste-testers for eternity."
Lillian was bragging about how cooking became her father's pa.s.sion after his wife, aka Lillian's mother's demise.
She also mentioned about taking Giselle to meet her father, so that she could join the taste-testing gang too.
"It will be fun, but you must be aware of facing any kinds of dishes presented to you."
Giselle never got bored and enjoyed Lillian talk about her family. She learned about Lillian's mother and father. The story also included how Lillian met Anna and Diego and their journey to become best buddies.
The story went on and on until Lillian had to pause to catch a breath.
..
"So, you knew Anna when you were a small child, you met Diego in your middle school, and the three of you became friends ever since then," Giselle pointed out.
Lillian only nodded from the lack of oxygen.
'She knew Diego for so long,' – Giselle noted with a slight frown on her face.
Regardless, Lillian continued talking and sharing funny stories while touching upon a few sharable embarra.s.sing incidents. Giselle listened attentively, often smiling at times.

By the time Lillian finished her story, the two completed seven rounds around the park. With an average walkable distance, it wasn't tiring to go that many.
The two sat down to rest for a while.
"What do you think?" Lillian asks while fanning in the chilly breeze.
"About the story?"
"No, about me, what do you think of me now after listening to my tales," Lillian asked cheekily.
Giselle thought about it for a minute.
"As expected, you are so beautiful inside and outside. I am attracted to you even more now."
Giselle's unplanned answer, along with her thumbs-up sign and honest smile, moved Lillian.
The two knew each other for a while, and Lillian never knew when she fell for Giselle, but right now, those words triggered her to fall in love with Giselle.
Lillian gently brushed Giselle's cheeks, thanking her for giving such a lovely reply.
'Thanks for letting me see you tonight. I would go crazy if I didn't see that face of yours.'
Giselle flinched from her touch and how it affected her. No matter how hard she restraints herself, Lillian sweeps in and shatters that wall down within a second. Giselle found herself melting from the stroke. If she doesn't budge right now, Giselle feared the outcome.
Jumping up from her seat, Giselle called Lillian to leave at once.
"We walked together already, so let's go. Your father might be waiting for you too," Giselle inched a little away from being near Lillian. She can't let Lillian near her vicinity.
"I should also go back. I informed my parents that I would return soon."
"Ah, your parents might be expecting you," Lillian remarked.
The thought of Giselle's sister Gigi throwing her famous icy glares at Lillian came to her mind. Her whole body felt gooseb.u.mps.
'I must first befriend you, sister.' – Lillian noted.
"Alright, let me walk you home," Lillian suggested.
Giselle blinked in utter shock.
It was Lillian who mentioned that she got lost, not knowing the route to Giselle's home. Right now, the same Lillian is saying that she would walk her home.
"Ah, I- I apologize, now that I'm calm, I can remember the route clearly," Lillian spoke after noticing Giselle's speechless grimace.
Lillian also correctly pointed out the route following her reveal.
It only threw Giselle back to the drain.
This person got lost because she was rus.h.i.+ng her way, and now that she feels good, Lillian could close her eyes and tell the correct route. Giselle went mute, not knowing how to respond. She only nodded to Lillian's insisting proposal.
Also, Lillian knew that Giselle didn't own her phone with her. To make sure she reaches home safe, Lillian insisted on tagging along.
…
The two reached Giselle's home together. Giselle kept glancing at Lillian, all on her way. She knew Lillian is crazy, but never expected things like this from her. Giselle seemed bewildered, thinking of how Lillian's mind works.
Giselle stopped ahead of a few steps away from her home. Lillian followed.
"I'll be fine now. You should go. It is already very late. I wonder how you might get back. What if you get lost again? No, I should come with you, but I am not sure if I can walk you back home and return. By that time, it can get pretty late that my parents would worry. Gigi, that's right, I can ask my sister to drop you at home. She has her car-"
Giselle's jabber went on as Lillian watched it with her mouth open in awe. She paused her from exploding and a.s.sured Giselle that she knows the route very well now, and there is no chance of her getting lost anymore.
"I'll be fine. I still have my mobile with me unlike you I can call my father in case if I'm lost, which won't happen," Lillian rea.s.sures.
Giselle pouts from being unsatisfied, but with Lillian's spur, she believed in her word.
"Alright then, thanks for tonight. See you later, Lilly," Giselle greets.
..
'Lilly! It is the first time after the trip she calls me by that name, I think,' – Lillian's loving gaze watched Giselle.
As Giselle turned to leave, Lillian recalled something again and stopped her from moving.
Giselle stumbled from her actions.
Lillian stares at her.

Giselle wasn't dressed well for the occasion, but she still managed to appear simply gorgeous in Lillian's eyes.
Without uttering a word, Lillian hugs Giselle, tightly embracing her. Giselle's whole body arrests from the unexpected move.
'What-' –Even before Giselle could apprehend the situation, Lillian released her hug and planted a sweet peck on her forehead.
"Just like everyone, you deserve to be happy too. I came to see you specifically not because I thought you should have your prom memory too, but," Lillian pauses.
'd.a.m.n Giselle. I can only say this much for now. But please, wait a little longer, I will make sure to convey my feeling properly to you,' – Lillian vowed.
"I simply wanted to see you tonight and have a dance with you, like you asked both times," she said.
"Alright now, go straight to your home. I will call you once I reach mine," Lillian said and flipped Giselle around and pushed her gently forward. All of her actions were soft and filled with care.
She didn't want to leave Giselle, but Lillian also doesn't want the girl to notice how red she looks from their first kiss, though it wasn't on her lips.
