The One I've Loved 11 Looking At Him

The place where I was standing , it was silent yet a perfect bliss. I saw the moon was s.h.i.+ning bright and the stars twinkling in the sky , the roads were empty with flickering streetlights and children were playing . I could hear the sound of breeze and the trees swaying in a rhythm , it made me feel euphoric .

I was startled by hearing a voice from behind , it was a voice which makes my heart flutter . And in that silent night hearing his voice made me feel like a morning coffee which was deep and addicting .

I knew who it was , I turned back and looked at Austin. He wore a white s.h.i.+rt and a black jeans , his thick black and light brown hair was s.h.i.+ning as always .

Holding two gla.s.ses of orange juice, he stood near the door.

What are you going to give the kids this time he asked me again while walking towards me and giving a gla.s.s of juice .

I came back to my senses and I replied with a "aahhh? " . As I was surprised to his question .

I thought to myself ,if he saw me giving Justin's cake to the kids or if Justin told him as no one was there when I looked around that time .

He said that he saw me that day .

I turned my head towards him ,looking into his eyes I asked him with curiosity " ww..whenn?"

" you are curious, aren't you ?" he said and chuckled.

No ...yes ,I mean ...how did you...

" On Justin's birthday ....I was standing right here and saw you giving his cake to the kids ," he said before I could complete my sentence and took a sip of juice while looking at the children .

Of all the people why should it be him , I thought .

Pausing for a moment ,he continued . Justin called your name out loud enough for me to hear while running towards you to save his favourite cake which I ordered especially for him . And that is how I got to know your name, he said and looked at me with a smirk .

I closed my eyes out of embarra.s.sment and apologized .

He took another sip and asked me why was I standing alone in the balcony diverting the topic.

I was bored inside and thought of coming here ,I said .

He replied with an okay .

As the wind blew through my hair , I tucked it behind my ear .

Beautiful , I heard him saying and when I looked at him I saw him looking at the stars .

Indeed , I replied and finished my juice in one gulp .

He was looking only at the stars and admiring them while I was looking at the stars and at him .

We didn't talk for few minutes , I broke the silence asked him if he liked his new school .

Yes, he said with a grin and drank the remaining juice .

Do you have any close people other than Justin , I asked .

Are you asking about best friend or crush , he asked me looking into my eyes .

Both , I replied without breaking our eye contact .

That night I finally spoke to him looking into his eyes . Even though It happend when I was in my eighth standard and wrote my diary when was in tenth standard , I was able to remember every single minute of that night and I still do , because that night was special to me.
