Hestia elbowed Damon's abdomen to be free from his embrace. She quickly moved away from him when Damon momentarily loosened his embrace. She rolled her eyes in disbelief when she saw him clutched his stomach in pain. 'Hump! What a great actor, how can he be hurt when she didn't use that much strength in her attack and besides she felt how hard his stomach was, even if she used all her strength it will not probably affect his st.u.r.dy body.'

"What was that for sweetheart? Are you mad because of that imp. Humph..! if he really was a man he would not run with his tail between his legs. If it was me in his position, I would fight until death for your love." Damon was irritated by how Hestia welcomed that weakling Dan. He was extremely jealous, he also wanted Hestia to greet him warmly with open arms.

Hestia can't seem to stay angry at Damon for too long. "He's my friend, it is only natural to greet a friend with a hug."

"I'm more than a friend but you didn't welcome me with a warm hug. I even confessed my undying love." Damon was acting like a child who was neglected by his parents.

Hestia wiped the tears from her eyes, she cannot remember the time she laughed this hard. "I'm sorry darling, your dad is just too cute. And besides-" she blushed when she remembered their shared kisses. "Dan is only a friend and we," Hestia covered her face.

Damon isn't happy to be called cute, but he will let it pa.s.s because she just acknowledged him as Ichigo's dad. "Ichi you heard what your mom called me?" Damon sat up with a pleased look on his face.

"Yup! Mom just called you my dad." Ichigo was happy that his dream might turn into reality.

The two smiled, both are pleased with their achievement. It is good that Hestia is now accepting Damon in their lives.

Hestia secretly smiled, she was also pleased to make her son happy and surprisingly she was also happy to see Damon smile.

"And besides hugs are for friends but kissing is for lovers, right sweetheart?" Damon can't pa.s.s the opportunity to tease Hestia.

"Yes ma'am!" The two followed Hestia like ducklings following their mother to the kitchen. Damon grabbed the plates and utensils while Ichigo arranged them on the table. Hestia reminded them that they should say their grace. Ichigo volunteered to pray for their food.

"G.o.d, thank you for giving us our foods and also for granting my prayer of having a meal with mom and dad. I'll continue to be a good boy so please grant my wish to have a happy family. Amen." Hestia felt the tugging of her heart strings, she squeezed Ichigo's hand to a.s.sure him that she'll try her best to fulfill his wish.

"Ichi, because of you being a good boy G.o.d already answered your prayer."

Ichigo looked at his dad in confusion, "what do you mean dad?" Both Ichigo and Hestia looked at him, both are antic.i.p.ating his answer.

Damon stood up, placed his hand on his chest. "G.o.d sent me to complete our happy family."

Ichigo's face brighten when he realized that his prayers was truly answered. "Dad you're right!"

Hestia felt embarra.s.sed for Damon, he can really be thick-skinned if he wanted to but now she's getting used to his shamelessness. She doesn't want to interrupt their happiness two but their food is getting cold, so she scooped rice for herself and for the two. She then placed the dishes on their table.

"Wow! It smells good and it looks really appetizing!" Damon was really impressed, Hestia's cooking looks really scrumptious.

"Ho ho.. Mom's cooking is the best!" Ichigo boast about his mother's cooking. "I can a.s.sure you dad no cooking can compare to mom's." Ichigo looks like a very proud father. "Come on dad eat mom's stir-fried vegetables they are to die for." Ichigo eagerly scooped vegetables for his dad.

Hestia who can't handle praises sat shyly. Her face was hot from her son's compliments, in all honesty she felt anxious. She's nervous thinking about Damon's reaction, will he like it or not.

Hestia gripped her skirt when Damon took his first bite. She sighed in relief when she saw Damon's appet.i.te. It made her happy to see him enjoy her cooking.

Ichigo laughed seeing how Damon wolfed down his food. "Ha ha! Dad take it easy the food will not run away."

Damon's face turned red from embarra.s.sment. "Well I can't help it, your mom's cooking is too delicious. You're right Ichi no one can compare to your mom." Damon put his spoon down, he then walked over towards Hestia, and he grasped her hands. Hestia gasped when Damon knelt in front of her. "Sweetheart, will you marry me."

Ichigo was cheering his father in silence. In his mind he was jumping and running around in excitement. His dad is really brave.

Hestia bit her lips, her hands started to sweat. "Y-you."
