Chapter 218

The moment Ariana and Gregory stepped out of the building they heard someone call out to them . "Ariana, you ran from me today . " Lobo said as he placed a firm hand on her shoulder . Ariana slowly turned to face Lobo and screamed internally . Lobo had a cheerful smile on his face but his eyes were dark and ominous . "I had important matters to attend to . " Ariana said as she shrank back . "Are they dealt with?" Lobo asked . Ariana nodded her head vigorously .  

Lobo removed his hand and sighed . "Good, now hold out your hands . " Lobo instructed as he waited for Ariana to do as she was told . Ariana brought up her hands quickly and held her breath . "You forgot your letters . " Lobo said happily as he dropped the stack of white envelopes in her hands . "Was that it?" Ariana asked helplessly . "Yup . Goodnight . " Lobo replied then turned around and walked away . "I thought he was sticking to you like glue?" Gregory asked as he raised his eyebrows in disbelief .

Advertis.e.m.e.nt"Me too . " Ariana said as she looked at Lobo's back then the stack of papers . She felt bad, he wasn't a bad guy just a little too protective . It was too much at first but maybe in time she could see it as endearing . "Thank you!" Ariana shouted, hoping that Lobo heard her . Lobo raised his hand and waved without looking back .  

"Well let's get you back . I can only take you to the boundary . I don't want to be cursed again . I don't think I'll be forgiven again . " Gregory moaned as he walked forward . "I've been thinking of that night . Mom said you were trying to keep me from going out but it wouldn't have mattered . There is a family day every month so were we going to fight monthly?" Ariana asked .  

"That was the plan . " Gregory admitted . "That's a stupid plan . What if I just gave up and refused to fight you?" Ariana said bluntly . "Zula said the same thing . That I wasn't looking at you properly and she was right . If I need to make any plans I should get to know you better and most likely include you in the planning . " Gregory said with an awkward chuckle .   

"Good . I don't think I will hold back the next time I beat you up . " Ariana said with a light laugh . "I don't want to take those awful concoctions either . " Gregory said with a small s.h.i.+ver . "Oh, Mrs . Dabney only does that to people she doesn't like . The more she hates you the worse the medicine gets . " Ariana explained . "Noted . " Gregory replied .

They walked in silence the rest of the way . Ariana realized it wasn't so bad to be beside Gregory and she felt bad that she couldn't remember that night . Suddenly a flash of memory appeared but it wasn't what she expected . "Gregory . " Ariana called out gently . Gregory looked at Ariana and waited . They had just reached the boundary and he couldn't walk any further . "Ms . Hadley curses who ever crosses the boundary without consent but is it the same curse every time?" Ariana asked . "As far as I know yes . Why?" Gregory asked suspiciously .

"That vial that Ms . Hadley gave you . It wasn't the first time you drank that weird liquid . It also wasn't the first time I heard you speak differently, have you crossed the boundary before?" Ariana asked as she stared at Gregory . "I told you I was trying to protect you . . . . I was worried the first night and checked up on you . I had no idea that I would have been cursed . " Gregory admitted .

Ariana could not hold in her laughter . "You are too much!" She laughed loudly . "We need to talk more . " Ariana said as she hugged her abdomen with one arm and doubled over . "It wasn't that funny . " Gregory semi pouted . "Yes it was! But . . . Thank you . For looking out for me, in the wrong way but at least the thought was there . " Ariana said as she slowly uncurled her body . There was another moment of awkward silence and the both of them had no idea what to do . Ariana gave up and patted Gregory on the shoulder just as he stretched out his arm and patted her left arm . "Goodnight . " They said in unison . They both looked at each other then parted ways .  

Ariana couldn't help but cringe at the awkwardness . At the same time she felt bad, if Gregory was telling the truth and they bonded that night why couldn't she remember? Ariana shook her head, clearing out all unnecessary thoughts . She just wanted to go back to her room and read the stack of letters . She looked down at the letters and felt her heart race . She wanted to open one right away so with a smile she ran towards the dorms as fast as she could .

"There you are!" Halina shouted as she through her hands into the air . "My mom got so mad at me for not seeing you!" Halina complained . "Ugh! I forgot, sorry . " Ariana said apologetically . "Well, where have you been?" Talisha asked as she sat on her bed, legs crossed . Bacon sat in the middle with his eyes close . Talisha had been absentmindedly scratching him behind the ear and he had no complaints about it . "Let me get changed first . I don't even want to shower I am so exhausted and energized at the same time . " Ariana said as she closed the door behind her .

"How in the world can you accomplish that?" Edlyn asked as Thor stuck to her like glue . "I barely slept last night . Mrs . Dabney went into labour and had her baby girl this morning . I napped then got ready . Fought with my family . Ran into Lobo . Talked, oh did you know he is completely different then what we all thought?!" Ariana said as she pulled on her pajamas . "Really?! We were shocked to see how Icarus was different . The guy is a real grandma's boy . " Talisha laughed .

"Oh I know!" Ariana said as she sat on her bed and started brus.h.i.+ng her hair . "But get this Lobo is really prideful and responsible! He acts shy to keep the girls from misunderstanding him . He's a one woman for life kinda guy . " Ariana said as she finished brus.h.i.+ng out her hair . The quickly parted her hair into sections so she could braid it .
