My Female Prince 40 Vengeful Ghosts

Since the day that Prince Ling had came, he had kept himself in contact with the couple. He would send them letters about the current situation and let them know how the Crown Prince was fairing. Another 6 months pa.s.sed, making it at least 2 years since they had left.

Xiao Jun, in the midst of practicing her sword, was interrupted by a knock at the door. She put the sword away under the wooden steps and then wiped her sweat. She grabbed a bucket of vegetables and went to open the door.

At the door was a messenger in a commoners dress up and he handed her a package that was bundled up like how herbs were packaged. "Mrs. Daiyu, here are the herbs you requested. I hope they are of satisfaction to you and that you use them well."

Xiao Jun smiled and thanked him, closing the door as he left after taking the package. Setting the bucket down, she went inside and opened it up, seeing a rolled up note buried within the pieces of dried medicine.

The note simply said: Prepare the ghosts.

Xiao Jun smiled lightly and then burned the note in the candle.

Everyday, information was brought to the Emperor about the Crown Prince's misdeeds, causing him to become more infuriated and he favored Prince Ling more, calling him into his chambers and gifting him t.i.tles and commands.

With the new power in his hands, Prince Ling kept it quietly and never used it unless when needed.

From behind, Xiao Jun felt arms snake around her waist and a chin rest on her shoulder, laughing lightly, she brought her hands to rest over the others. "Prince Ling has sent message over, telling us to be prepare the ghosts."

Yun Long simply nodded, "Let me hug you for longer. It's been a while since I held you like this."

Turning around, Xiao Jun was about to bring her lips onto his when there was a knock at the door. She heard the huff of annoyance from Yun Long before putting on her mask while he put on his. Opening the gate doors, it was someone from Prince Ling's side that had brought them two sets of black clothing wrapped in paper.

The servant handed them a letter and then turned, leaving and disappearing into the crowd. As soon as the door was shut, Yun Long pulled her back inside, capturing her lips in a kiss as he took the package of clothing and put it on the table.

For a while, they kissed, until Xiao Jun pulled away and her face was flushed. "No more, you're becoming so shameless." she laughed. Yun Long pressed their foreheads together and chuckled, "It's thanks to my wife for teaching me how to be so shameless."

That night, they dressed into the black clothing, wearing a black veil as well. Carrying a dagger around her waist along with a sword, Yun Long simply had a sword with him.

Escaping in the dark of the night, the two made their way to the palace, where they entered through a secret pa.s.sageway with the help of Prince Ling and they entered the Crown Prince's bed chamber.

In his bed, the Crown Prince slept, his face pale and health declining. Xiao Jun stood next to his bed and covered his mouth with a cloth, the Crown Prince woke up and his eyes widened in alarm, he let out a m.u.f.fled yell but quieted down as soon as she pressed a dagger to his neck. "I suggest you should keep quiet or else my hand could slip and oops, you'll be gone." she said, a bit of mirth in her voice.

Yun Long walked with his hands behind his back, sword hidden. "Crown Prince... don't you remember the death of General Huo Yun Long and his wife, Princess Feng Xiao Jun?"

In the dark of the night, the moonlight s.h.i.+ned in and landed right on the Crown Prince's face, showing the look of panic and horror on his face. "W-What do you want? Money? Jewels? I-I have it all.." he stuttered, backing up a bit, whimpering as the blade pressed into his neck.

"Your Highness, we have no need for any of those." Yun Long chuckled, he pulled out his sword, the light reflecting off the engraving of his family name. "Does his highness find this sword fairly familiar? I'm sure you do, as you were the person who killed the one welding this sword."

The Crown Prince shook in fear, he didn't see the faces, but he felt the heavy aura around the two bodies. Feeling a bit of leeway from the dagger, he climbed onto his knees and pleaded, no longer his arrogant self. "S-spare m-me!"

Xiao Jun laughed and her feminine laughter startled the Crown Prince even more, the two were a man and woman pair?! More so, this laughter sounded similar to another woman's voice.

"Spare you? This is just our final warning. Remember, your highness, you have vengeful spirits after you." Xiao Jun said, she sheathed the dagger and turning her back on him, slipped out of the room with Yun Long. They only came to scare him, not kill him.

They wanted the Crown Prince to live in fear until he slowly grew crazy and paranoid.
