Once Zhang Wei saw Yun Long, all he thought about was if this man was able to make his little sister happy.

"Lets.. lets go back. Mother and Father is probably wondering where we all went." Xiao Jun said, smiling awkwardly and then she walked ahead of them with Mei'er following.

In the big courtyard, numerous families were seated and waiting for the next event to begin. It was a contest of archery to test the skills over other families.

Sitting down, Xiao Jun saw that w.a.n.g Wei had whispered something into their Mother's ear, making her Mother look at her with a small smile before telling the eunuch to announce for the contest to begin.

Once the contest began, whirs of arrows sounded. Xiao Jun watched closely to see who was good and who was not. Seeing Yun Long out there, she leaned forward in her seat more and watched him attentively.

Other daughters of other n.o.ble families watched as well, their eyes smiling as they looked at the handsome Yun Long.

Xiao Jun smiled as Yun Long made all six arrows land directly in the center. Yun Long came forward and then bowed in front of the Emperor and Empress.

"Good! Good in the skill of archery indeed!" the Emperor exclaimed, he was liking this young man more and more. So what if he was from Han? If Xiao Jun loved him and he was willing to be sincere to her, then why not?

The last event was for Xiao Jun to give an embroidered pouch to a man that she wanted to wed. Inside the pouch were various fragrances and she had personally chosen hers and made it match her scent. She didn't have to give a pouch but she decided on it after seeing Yun Long's archery.

'It'd be a shame to just let Handsome Brother go without seeing if he's interested..'

She blushed at her own thought and snapped out of it when her mother pushed her forward a bit.

Walking down the steps, she walked around the field before stopping in front of Yun Long. Others held their breath and Yun Long gave a surprised look before standing up.

"For you. I'll wait for your reply." she smiled and then put the pouch in his hands. Yun Long looked at the pouch and then back up at Xiao Jun. Taking something from his sleeve, he handed it to her. "Take this as your answer."

He bowed his head slightly and then turned, walking away with Yue Qi.

Everyone laughed inside at what happened but only Xiao Jun smiled once she saw the jade flute with her family surname engraved onto it but alongside it was 'Huo' engraved into it.

She walked back to her seat next to her mother and found her parents frowning.

"What's wrong?" she asked, looking at them curiously.

"What kind of a man just leaves a woman standing like that to be humiliated? Who does he think he is?" her mother exclaimed, having a maid dismiss the families.

Xiao Jun laughed and then handed her mother the flute, "He already gave me his answer. He gave them discreetly."

They examined the flute and then their faces changed again, making Xiao Jun laugh.

Looks like she was going to get married.

[A: hey! you were denying any feelings towards him earlier!]

[XJ: so?.... I don't want to just ask a stranger to be my husband! I rather it be someone I know.]
