"Why do you have memory Loss?"
Modesty looked up at Su Jin Wei.
"I was told that it is called traumatic memory loss. The doctor said that because of me witnessing the accident that took my parents lives, I was so upset that my brain wanted to forget everything."
Su Jin Wei's lips thinned. "I wonder why it did the whole two years?"
Modesty shook her head. "I don't know, it's very frustrating sometimes. I want to remember and then I have glimpses of things that I'm not sure if it's my memory or it's my imagination."
Su Jin Wei nodded his head his face softened when he saw that she was upset. He wanted to make her smile again. "Would you like to take a walk around the gardens outside?"
Modesty started to smile. Su Jin Wei was happy he knew that Modesty loved flowers and the restaurant that they were at had a huge one that they used to host parties and events when the weather is warm.
"Yes, I would like that very much."
"Zhang."
a.s.sistant Zhang ran next door when he heard his name called. a.s.sistant Chu followed in behind him to see if Modesty needed anything.
"Yes, boss." a.s.sistant Zhang stood next to Si Jun awaiting his orders.
"Take a.s.sistant Chu home, then come back for Vice President Cameron and me."
a.s.sistant Zhang nodded his head and stepped toward a.s.sistant Chu who looked at Modesty for confirmation. Modesty nodded her head.
"It is the weekend, so I will not need you. Enjoy yourself, but keep your phone close if anything comes up."
Chu Hua Huan nodded her head, she understood what Modesty wasn't saying. They did it in college enough times. If one of them went out on a date, twenty to thirty minutes in they would call to see if the one on the date needed an emergency "get out of the date excuse." That way if you weren't having a good time, then you would have an excuse to leave.
