"Good morning."
Modesty said to both Su Jin Wei and Song Lei. Su Jin Wei studied Modesty for a moment wondering if she had overheard their conversation. But, she was bright and smiling as she filled her plate with food.
"So, what's planned for today?"
Su Jin Wei eyed her over his newspaper.
"Shopping."
Modesty smiled while gobbling down a piece of bacon.
"Cool, I can help you pick out some nice suits and casual clothes. Even though with that mall you call a closet you don't need any more clothes." A ghost of a smile pa.s.sed across Su Jin Wei's face right before he shook his head.
"Not for me, for you."
Modesty froze with a piece of bacon halfway to her mouth.
"I have plenty of clothes, and even though I can afford it I don't want to buy a whole lot of clothes here and then have to s.h.i.+p them back overseas."
Su Jin Wei stiffened, she would be going back to her country over his dead body. Then he had to remember that she didn't know his plans for her and that she wouldn't be returning to Country A.
"Big gala, a couple of weeks, no dress."
Modesty froze again before she put a piece of fruit in her mouth and chewed slowly. He was right she hadn't packed anything appropriate for a gala. And, she remembered HuaHua saying something about a gala the other day. She guessed it just slipped her mind that she may have to attend such functions when she was packing to come here.
"Were you planning on discussing this whole shopping excursion with me?"
Su Jin Wei raised one eyebrow remembering the conversation from this morning.
"We're discussing it now."
Modesty just shook her head in defeat, she was going to have to work on Su Jin Wei's communication skills his eq was extremely low when it came to women. He was just too used to people blindly following his orders. Women that you were in a relations.h.i.+p with weren't to be ordered around.
"Fine when are we leaving?" Modesty sighed.
Su Jin Wei folded his newspaper and sat it to the side.
"When you finish."
