Modesty finally found her hotel, The Cordis located on Shanghai street in City H. Modesty was super excited she was finally visiting. Her aunt and uncle said that when she was younger she came here often and she even spent time here for two whole years. She remembered some of the country from when she was little. But, she had lost those two years her aunt and uncle mentioned after the car accident that took also her parents lives.

According to her aunt and uncle, the accident happened during their last weeks and because of the trauma, she lost those two years. Now, she was back, hoping, searching, for what she didn't know. She didn't even know where to start, maybe at the consulate. Her mother was an amba.s.sador there, and her father was a businessman who opened a branch of his business here.

Even after her father's pa.s.sing, there was still a branch of Cameron Corp here, and Modesty planned to go and visit. She was here not only to visit the branch but to hopefully gain some insight into what happened, maybe it would help her to regain her memories. Her Uncle who now runs Cameron Corp wasn't very pleased with the thought of her coming here, he tried everything that he could to stop her from coming, but when she explained to him why. That coupled with the fact that she was a twenty-three-year-old adult he couldn't come up with any more reasons to stop her.

He tried to remind her about her work at Cameron Corp as the vice president. She reminded him that she could work anywhere there was a laptop. Doing conference calls via online video, as well as working out of the City H branch of Cameron Corp. Her uncle couldn't argue any further, Cameron corp had subsidiaries dealing with precious gems, real estate, software, and all forms of technology.

The division here specialized in precious gems and security software. She knew about every last branch and subsidiary of Cameron Corp. Modesty had been working at Cameron Corp since she was able to walk. She had done everything from being a lowly mail clerk to being her father's secretary. As soon as she graduated from university her uncle made her the vice president of the company. To the shock and dismay of some of their shareholders.

She was the youngest VP in Cameron Corp history. He had wanted to make her the president and he step down to vice president, but they both knew that the shareholders would revolt if he did. She didn't want to be president just yet anyway, she wanted to have more time to get to know the inner workings of Cameron Corp, plus she wanted to know what happened in those two years that she had lost.

So, here she was in City H getting settled into her hotel, tomorrow she would stop by Cameron Corp. She also needed to finally hire more bodyguards she had let her previous two go not trusting them. She also needed to hire an a.s.sistant, her uncle didn't like that she was doing everything on her own.

He said that is wasn't proper for a vice president, but she had been doing everything on her own since she first put a paperclip on a doc.u.ment here at Cameron Corp. Maybe she could find an a.s.sistant here, she was always in contact with her good friend Chu Hua Huan who lived here and worked as a secretary at Cameron Corp. Modesty finally got settled in her hotel and took a shower. She decided that she needed some rest and would worry about everything tomorrow.
