Since it was a full moon night, it's velvety light shone through the garden. Slowly, silently the moon walked along with them as they drove up to the door of the mansion. Ronnie got down and then came around, held the door open. Jayne gracefully got down.
Ronnie announced, "Welcome home, Princess Jayne!" He handed over the keys to her and asked her to open the door.
Jayne giggled and smacked on Ronnie's arm. "Ronnie, when will you ever get serious?" she huffed her cheeks.
Looking at the adorable woman in front of him, his eyes sparkled, "I'm serious Jayne.. Well, let's get inside first." Before she could react, he bent swooped up her in his arms, carrying her like a princess and started walking towards the door.
Jayne who never expected this was caught off guard, her eyes went round and wide. Unknowingly her face started burning too. She hung her arms around his neck.
He gently put her down when they reached the door. "All yours.. Please do the honour.. open the door to our home."
Jayne's heart began racing. With trembling hands she unlocked the keys and the door flew open and in front of her eyes was a magnanimous looking mansion. She had stopped breathing by now.
"Welcome home, My Princess!" Ronnie took her inside.
He explained, "The mansion we're currently staying belongs to my parents. They're currently staying at another mansion of ours at Paris. This mansion is mine. I'd dreamt of living the rest of my life with the love of my life here."
He took her hand and kissed it lightly and said, "Now that I've found my love, I'd wanted to bring you here to our home."
"Ronnie but-" Jayne began speaking but was silenced by Ronnie placing his fingers on Jayne's lips.
"I haven't finished talking yet. Well, you must be hungry. Let's have dinner first and then we'll talk." Ronnie took her to the backyard which was facing the riverside. He pushed the curtains and slid open the door of the gla.s.s house and before them was a breathtaking view. They could hear sounds of a romantic song playing in the background.
'Not bad Dan. I'll be giving you a Christmas bonus.' Ronnie thought to himself and felt glad.
Jayne was awestruck on seeing everything before her. The transparent gla.s.s walls felt like it didn't even exist. The moon had followed them to the garden as well. It's s.h.i.+mmery white light shone through the gla.s.s roof and it's reflection could be seen on the river outside too.
Soft silky red curtains were hung around at the corners. The entire garden was decorated with candles and flowers. At the centre,a bonfire was lit up. The warmth emanating from it warmed the entire area even on the cold, winter night.
Adjacent to it was a candlelight dinner table set up decorated with expensive flowers with two chairs opposite to each other overlooking the riverside. Ronnie took Jayne and held out a chair for her to sit.
Today none of the butlers or maids were present except the guards. Ronnie had dismissed everyone. But all the preparations were done. So, he himself initiated and began serving Jayne with the special Continental cuisine prepared for tonight. Since both of them were hungry and the food tasted great, both ate well.
After the dinner Jayne felt elated, overwhelmed, excited, happy, lucky, unsure of what was happening before her all at once. She remained expressionless.
"Ronnie why do you've to do all this to me? This is so overwhelming." Jayne was the first to speak after gulping down her red wine. Her face was totally flushed, her eyes teary, her lips had turned red.
