Jayne was extra beaming today. She wore a yellow coat under which she'd worn a mickey mouse t-s.h.i.+rt paired with a blue jeans and casual pump shoes. She'd tied up all her hair into a high ponytail this way it would be easier for her to bake the cake and organise everything as per her plans. She looked just like the Maya during her school days...
She greeted her in laws who were at the dining table, "Good morning mom, dad!"
"Good morning child! Needless to ask why you're all up and ready so early in the morning even though it's a Sunday." Mrs Caroline Roy winked at Jayne.
Jayne very well knew that if she stayed a minute longer her in laws would continue to pull her leg. She gulped down the milk and took a bread toast which was already smeared with b.u.t.ter from Mrs Caroline's plate and screamed. "Sorry mom! It's getting late. I'll see you soon!"
Mrs Caroline Roy began to worry, "Poor child. She had just one piece of bread! If I'd known I'd have prepared more!
"Today, she's too happy to eat. Don't worry about her." Mr Richard Roy comforted his wife.
Jayne asked her driver to drive to the pastry shop. She reached there earlier than expected. The store owner helped her prepare a heart-shaped chocolate rum pastry.
Jayne felt like she'd accomplished the most important task. After the baking, the pastry shop would get it delivered to her Seaview mansion. So, she came back to do the next important thing.
On the other side, Ronnie was also beaming bashfully, full of pride in the flight. "Wifey, I'll be giving you the best surprise ever! If I'd known earlier, I would have made sure to do it for our wedding, but now that I got this opportunity to come to India, I didn't want to waste it."
Jayne got her cake delivered by the pastry shop. They had sent the cream and icing along too to top on the cake in any way Jayne wanted to.
Jayne happily took the cake inside the kitchen. She spread a generous amount of chocolate cream along with vanilla over it. She later wrote on the cake, "Welcome back hubby!" Finally she completed the icing on the cake with cherries and chocolate chips. She proudly looked at her creation.
So, finally everything was ready! The only thing left was, the time to tick by. Every second of waiting after that felt like a year. Jayne kept glancing at the clock often.
Finally it was 5 PM. Jayne darted towards the door. The driver was already waiting for her. Jayne got into the car and they drove to the airport.
She was eagerly waiting at the Private Waiting Lounge for Ronnie to show up. Little did she know what an important day of her life was today.
Finally, Ronnie came to the Lounge. At that time, the couple felt the world around them was totally non-existent. Jayne dashed towards him with a bouquet of red roses and Ronnie's favourite chocolates.
She hugged him tight and kissed him like her life depended on it. Ronnie responded by lifting her up and kissing even more fervently in between giggles. They pulled apart and Jayne linked her arms with his lovingly said, "Welcome back hubby! Let's go home!" she gave him the bouquet and chocolates.
Just when she was about to walk ahead with him, Ronnie said, "Baby wait, even I've a surprise for you...."
